    i feel like our body are used left and right motion, and acceleration in cars, whereas harsh breaking is less common in day-to-day driving. So when a car decelerates on its own without human command our body is not used to that. Kinda similar to why 24FPS is enough for watching movies but nowhere near enough for playing games. For machines to behave in an unexpected way without command to buffer human brain reception is a very alien feeling.

    One issue is the unpredictable behaviour of human drivers and riders. Policy teams in Europe are considering implementing self driving in certain zones and limiting entry to vehicles with approved self driving technology. Those zones could expand over time. That approach might make sense. 🤔

      Many many people sir. We Chinese always are cautious that if we show incompetence, we will lose the job and there are always plenty of capable engineers around to replace. I was just watching someone put a Tesla through a test with cardboard boxes and he quickly found how that Tesla's system doesn't work well with low lying objects. To the extent that the car wouldn't even stop. I concluded that Autopilot isn't ready and human drivers are still very relevant.
    After watching this, now I'm not so sure. It literally avoided two accidents.

    • @tren133
      @tren133 Před rokem +3

      Well this P5 has a load of sensors, including those 2 low lying highly sophisticated lidar units. Tesla first removed radar and is now in the process of removing ultrasonic too, which means new Teslas will be guided by cameras only. Their claim is that humans can drive a car with "cameras" only (our eyes), and therefore with enough AI software packed into their cars, Teslas will one day drive equally well with camera only tech. We shall see I guess.

    • @enigmatum

      What tren133 said. This is a strong argument against vision only. The fact that NGP uses multiple sensor types and works well.

    • @tren133
      @tren133 Před rokem +5

      @@enigmatum The most hilarious part is Tesla will still charge you another $6000 for "enhanced autopilot" even though the new cars with no ultrasonic sensors can no longer do autopark and summon. Why should you still pay them 6000 bucks for functionality that has been taken away you ask? Well Tesla says those features will be added back one day when their vision only system learns to parallel park a car just like every human can easily parallel park with eyes only! Just give them the money now and wait for it patiently. Just like some Model S owner paid for "FSD" in 2016 and has been dutifully beta testing the feature for Tesla for the past 6 years and waiting for it to exit beta...

      EJFJ Positive Contextualisation should be there, and detect through MediSecure International PSC database, or from car signal, that the driver is unsure, and needs help... The most accurate car should give positive instructions on how to driver better and escape from any bad situation, while all drivers can learn how automatic driving systems manage in such situation, allowing to act more fluently in next similar situations... But this is blocked since 1993, avec if Lidars came from Medical Pack, which was at the origin of any autonomous system to spare any sort of little damage, to spare most of problems in human lives, and allowing hospital doing things prevently and study what could be improved or better treated... Anything in the Universe is connected, so let's make positive connections, with EJFJ Cumulative Cleverness, and spare fake and wasteful partial IA that Microsoft Corporation, IBM and Oracle finally parodied, but unconveniently as not understanding things as they really are, by not taking effectively in account the situation of the driver according to what he did up to now, and what he really needs... EJFJ Positive Communication needs to be warrantied, Xpeng is quite realizing Time Pad Scheduler now...

    I did some dash cam videos there for an autopilot developer 4-5 years ago and learned quite quickly how enormous task self driving system is. Using super accurate maps, lidars, cameras and sensors is not enough, you really need AI to be able to drive everywhere, and still the traffic environment has to be standardized. Without AI you can probably get it 99% right but not to 99,9999% which is required. That autopilot developer got bought out or something, the contact person told me in the end they know now what the limits are and will concentrate on a mini bus service that is running a set route.

    I think this manufacturer needs to realize that if they're selling in a western market they need to change the Romanization of their name to "X Pung" if they want anyone who doesn't also speak Chinese to pronounce their name like that.

    Tesla is removing/reducing the sensor suit on the car. Xpeng is adding more and still can’t do level 4 smoothly. Where is the world heading with marketing… or it’s always been marketing? And why is that the same route every uses to show us the capability of city NGP? The other day Hexiaopeng used that same route, and similar videos show same… or are the roads same all over? Lol😂

    Ok this is impressive. I have a Tesla model 3 with FSD and no freaking way can it navigate as smoothly bas this. In fact there is no freaking way vision only can even get us to L3 let alone L5 like Elon claims. I was conned out of 7k for FSD and any fanboy who claims Tesla FSD is any good is a pure liar..it's worse than my teenager driver and it's already reached peak capability IMO. In the year of having FSD I have seen zero improvement in navigation. What a collosal waste..

      Tesla is a parody, nothing serious, just a way to make money for Elon Musk... They are used to pollute the intersideral space, as the Tesla Roadster sent in 2018... It is just publicity... A bit like Macintosh, a bit like Ferrari, but Macintosh and Ferrari do real products and quite qualitative compared to those of Tesla... Tesla created new opportunities by showing it is possible to use more powerful electrical motors to propel heavy cars... The effectiveness of nowadays electrical motors with more than 93% efficiency allowed this miracle. Tesla showed it is possible, but it is everything except a good solution! And now they reduce the quality of detectors to drastically reduce the price of their cars, as they only want to make money... Paypal has been done as a parody of Bill !T, just to makle money, too, by the same Elon Musk... He just rub good ideas and realize part of them and make lots of money from his fake solutions... It will be the same with TruthGPT which will be everything except for truth...
