- Let's kick off the vlog with another great night out here in Paphos, Cyprus. Then Dan takes Mazzy for a walk in search of some of the city's hidden gems which really do have the wow factor. If some of it doesn't make sense it's because we have lost some footage which we will explain in a future video.

Sorry Dan, but your cat fact is wrong. 80% of ginger cats are male. I had to check because I had a female ginger cat when I was little, so that's why I questioned it. My vet told me all tortoise shell cats are female & feisty😄 However, Google said all tortoise shell cats are female, but then said 1 in 3000 is a male 😂😂 Figure that one out🤔😂😂
Those caves/catacombs are amazing. I bet it was cool in there & why the cats were there.....they are not daft. Get yourself a hat Dan to keep the sun off your head. Love the one Mazzy got & it really suits you. I love the Mazzy-isms too, when you get your words muddled or just make new ones up. 😄😄

i had a ginger female aswell. the vet didnt believe me untill they looked.
Yeah I had a ginger and white long haired female, we were told by the vet they are rare x

Those trees are Carob trees, great vlog btw 😊 very very interesting
The ‘horse shoe’ tree is a carob tree (ceratonia siliqua). They’re used to make healthy type chocolate flavour for cakes and bars, (& more) my dogs eat them off the tree when the pods have turned dark brown, they don’t eat the beans inside. You should chew a bit of the brown pod- it’s so sweet! They have beans inside that weigh the same as each other which is what they based the “carrot” like 9ct gold weight measurement on. (I know some stuff because we have it here in Portugal).
The suckling pig 🐖 is baby pig that is still feeding from the mother. That noise is actually an insect called a cicada.
Thanks for all the effort you both put in to entertain us. Editing and rendering can take hours just for a 30 minute video so we all appreciate all you do!!

Thank you for taking us to the catacombs. It inspired me to google them. They apparently date to the Hellenistic period, approx 320BC to 30BC. It's always amazing to see something so old surrounded and preserved after so long and in a modern time/setting. I think the mosaics will be impressive as well. Thanks again for sharing your adventures!
If you do get chance Dan, invest in a hat. The heat looks roasting and I'd hate to see you feeling the effects of sun stroke.

Loving these vlogs, we went to Cyprus quite a few times around 15yrs ago but never went to paphos we stopped in Ayia Napa, when it was a family resort. Nice seeing you two enjoy yourselves and to see the different types of holidays. Turkey was a lovely hotel and all inclusive but it’s nice to see you enjoying being more in the centre of somewhere, easier to film. Have a lovely time , always waiting for you to upload, you’re both so down to earth and real . By the way Cyprus has always been expensive when we went years ago was the same x

Thats a great area around the pool along with the live music and the lovely cats chilling. The caves are really amazing just right across the road from the harbour they must have taken some cutting out and you walk across the top of them never seen this place before it s really interesting.

Brillant Vlogs Dan and Mazzy really enjoying you guys going around Cyprus. There is so much history I remember seeing a lot on my trips to Cyprus. I would definitely recommend hiring a car and going on a trip up the Troodos mountains in Cyprus it's beautiful up there,. 👍

The trees with the horseshoe shaped pods are called Carob trees.

Looking good in paphos . Hope you get to go to limmasol the old town is really lovely you will be able to get some freshly made Cyprus delight there are so many flavours to choose from plus old cobblestone roads.
Limassol is about an hour away in the car we travelled there as my husband lived there when his dad was in the RAF
Make use of the bus service.. Bus station is just round the corner from you and they are quite cheap with a good service to Old Town and a fairly good service to Limasolle for something a bit different.

Oh wow!! Paphos is definitely one of those places that just keeps giving. The catacombs are so interesting, I could explore them for ages. The church caves were just awesome too. Then there was the 'red' tree....I could go on and on😂 can't thank you guys enough for vlogging in that heat just to bring us videos to watch. You're the best❤

Famagusta would be a good trip
I’ve done self catering, bed and breakfast, all indclusive and half board there’s pros and cons to them all but I like the freedom of self catering or bed and breakfast and you get to try the local food more and get out of hotel more

My freind has that same type or similar tree in their front yard here in Colorado. Those seed pods make a mess in the fall! I know it's not a native tree.

Do they still have homes that people live in , they call you in to see their homes, the are very old properties , but how they live is so different . I think they look for a few It’s if change in return. We have come across many of these Many years ago. I guess the rooms you took us to maybe a family lived in each room, but all together as a community. Then maybe outside was the farmyard.

Lots of fam places to see in Cyprus. Temple of the Kings is a must see and careful, Mazzy, if you touch the statue if Aphrodite as she's the Greek goddess of love and fertility. My son's girlfriend touched the statue and gave birth to my grandson 9 months later.😊

Whoa, that was amazing! This kind of place is right up my street. Just loved the catacombs area, what a brilliant bit of history and a sacred space too by the looks of things.
Those rags tied up are Clootie Wells/Clootie Trees, exactly the same as the ones in Scotland and Ireland. The tied up rags are wishes, which really sets the scene for the area. Brilliant!
Somehow that guy playing the guitar and the people dancing in the dark was literally the exact thing I imagined seeing when you landed in Cyprus!
Great vlog, as per! We stayed on the front down the far end where all thr large hotels are, and youre piggin right...its not a good trot in cypriot heat getting to the main shebang! Althoigh, theres a really pretty super mini church / place of worship down that end....oh, and a carte dor shop....yum!! Have fun, but stay safe in the sun

Hire cars are great to see the whole of the island. They drive on the same side as use, more normal.
