I definitely wash condition then deep condition and it's not a waste of money at all. Deep conditioners, while some may, most are not there for detangling. I gladly use my conditioner to detangle it makes it so much easier to apply the deep condish. Detangling with a deep condish is definitely a waste of my money Tay I agree COMPLETELY.
I always detangle with conditioner first, then shampoo my hair then deep condition. Works amazing for me, less tangles and breakage. Oh and of course less deep conditioner needed since my hair is already detangled..

Thanks ladies for another informative video!! 👏🏽One method I’ve found with enhancing the slip of a conditioner/deep conditioner is to make sure my hair has enough water. Sometimes I’ll spray more water as I’m detangling and it causes some of my conditioners to glide right through 🤗

Love the Creme Restore, but like most people, I hate the bottle. I tried putting 2oz of it in an applicator bottle then diluting it with 6oz of water. Results were great! Easier to apply and lasts longer. Consequently, Creme Restore has been my holy grail until I heard about Curl Smith's Curl Quenching Conditioning Wash. That stuff is just as good if not better than Creme Restore and comes in a larger size with a better pump. It is expensive, but worth it!

I tried the Shea Moisture Intensive Hydration Shampoo with Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil, and I like it better, dare I say, than Eden's. My scalp is terrible right now, and the Intensive Hydration shampoo cleans my scalp and leaves my hair super soft; plus the slip is amazing.

🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️ my favorite shampoo with slip is the design essentials dangling shampoo. I don’t even have to dentangle or prepping before shampooing when I’m using it. Total game changer!!!Favorite slip conditioner is the Giovanni smooth as silk conditioner and favorite slip deep conditioner is the Shea moisture high porosity mask as well as the soultanicals chebe mask!!!
I think slip is relative to the individual. I think that it just depends on your hair and what feels slippery on your hair. The As I am Cowash has never given me amazing slip although people rave about this product. I have never been able to get a comb through my hair easily using the As I am. "No extraordinary slip", I always need to add a conditioner on top. Go figure...lol. Lori Anne and I are definitely hair twins. We always agree on the same products. This was an awesome video LADIES...lots of great products featured. Fantastic Job!!!
My hair is extra thirsty too. When I co-wash with the As I Am, I also use a conditioner afterwards.

This is really helpful. I’ve been trying to find a good shampoo. You ladies should try Curls Dynasty Give Me Slip conditioner. It has a ton of slip and moisture. You can even use it as a co-wash. I just bought 3 new bottles to add to my stash and I never buy in bulk lol.

I mix the TGIN honey deep conditioner with the shea moisture yogurt protein deep conditioner together and my hair is so moisturized and springy that you couldn't stop me from whipping my hair back and forth.

AsIAm be topping themselves the Long & Luxe smells AMAZING 🤤🤤🥰. The shampoo is my favorite. The conditioner can be used as a conditioner or deep conditioning, but I prefer it to be my conditioner. It just doesn’t work for my hair as a deep conditioner.
I LOVE the As I am cowash and the Miche conditioner which I have to use again. I have to try that EDEN body works shampoo and the other as Ian cowash as I suffer from dry scalp. I’ve been using a shampoo and a deep conditioner since it’s a simpler routine for me. I also ADORE the Not Your Mother’s Charcoal shampoo and Conditioner (black bottle) the conditioner is sooo slippery and moisturizing and the shampoo does not strip. You should try it if you get the chance ❤️

Edenbodyworks Peppermint Shampoo is what is use to clarify, Just used it on Monday. But I was taught to use a moisturizing shampoo after using a clarifyer to replenish the moisture. OMG, Prell!! CRN Creme Restore, yay! That was funny the night we shut down CRN website ordering Creme Restore. LOL. The As I Am Coconut Co-wash is an OG! Never tried the Long and Luxe. I grappled with that for a long time, using a conditioner and deep conditioner.....then I reasoned that the deep conditioner is going to do the same thing as the conditioner. So I stopped and saved myself some money by not using a regular conditioner. Since my hair is short I detangle during cleansing then apply deep conditioner, put on plastic cap and get out of shower. I rinse it later in the sink. I have very few in my arsenal. I often wondered what everyone else did in this scenario. The longer the video, the more I have to say. And yes, I made it to the end. HaHa. Love you guys. Thanks for sharing.

Another gem i found is Suave for naturals Shea Butter & Coconut oil conditioner. That glidesssss through my hair. ➰ And also the Trader Joe’s Nourish Spa conditioner is baeeee for co washing and is only $3!! Everytime i go i pick up like 4 bottles😂

The slip on afrotastic is RIDICULOUS! I’ve found that it’s too much protein for my protein sensitive hair so I use it to detangle/ pre-poo before I start my wash day & rinse it out immediately otherwise my hair gets super frizzy & dry. Then I wash my hair with the SM raw Shea butter moisture retention shampoo & follow it up with the SC raw Shea butter deep treatment mask. That’s my holy grail wash day that I’ve been doing for years & I refuse to look for something better because nothing can beat them plus I’m tired of spending my meny $$$ on products that don’t work for me 🙋🏾♀️

The Soultanicals Sprout Rice Shampoo is the slippery-est of the slippies...SLIP FOR DAYZZZZZZZ! To me it out performs the other butta shampoos and acts most like a cleanser.

The long n luxe cowash was busted, I was so upset when I didn't get the slip and moisture of the original. But it smelled good. Can't wait to try their scalp care line, I love the devacurl no poo but it's a lil pricy (it had the peppermint feel) and it's not sold everywhere. Maybe the as I am one can be the more accessible version?

Curly Vicky Awww.... Thank you. I have been into skincare and taking care of my skin since I’ve been in my 30’s. I wash my face Morning and Night without fail every day. Lately I’ve simply been applying coconut oil to my face to give my skin a break from all the anti-aging products I love to use. The 2 skincare lines I choose my products from when in my anti-aging mode are Sunday Riley and Drunk Elephant. I buy those products from Sephora. I like to use oils from either brand and retinol creams. I also use over the counter stuff like Neutrogena Pore Refining exfoliating Cleanser (one of my Favs) and follow it up with the Pore Refining Toner and a Moisturizer. The take away here is consistency. Find a skincare line you like, like the 2 I mentioned or the over the counter brands. In my opinion it all works the same... high end or drugstore. The key is daily consistency. -LoriAnne 🤓

I have yet to find a good shampoo that’s going to provide slip for my hair that’s 3b/3c low porosity medium density but my son’s hair is 3a/3b and it’s more like yours LoriAnne I can detangle his hair with just about any shampoo I use and his hair loves protein. Mielle Organics pomegranate and honey conditioner and Eden bodyworks Almond and Marshmallow split end repair masque has a lot of slip. Tay you may like Mielle protein free hydrating conditioner it’s AMAZING....
