Honoring the Life of Cadet Tom Surdyke

Each spring, West Point commemorates the life of Cadet Tom Surdyke of Company B4 during the Sandhurst Military Skills Competition Award ceremony at West Point by honoring one team member whose selfless service and teamwork embody the timeless values of Duty, Honor, Country.
This year, we proudly announced Evan Symes from Company A3 Anacondas as the deserving recipient. Cadet Surdyke's legacy of selfless service and sacrifice continue to inspire the academy and United States Corps of Cadets.
