In what was did help u do it stop leg from going back a little to far because I know it could help wit drop foot. Have ever seen this work out start from bottom till u reach lower back. It's toes over knees guys

I am a Post Stroke survivor now for 9 years, and needless to say I have had numerous AFO's along the way. Needless to say, this by far is superior to any other AFO that I have had! I love the fact that is an exterior brace, and the attachments for a pronated ankle, which I have is great! The only questions are is it covered by Medicare? If not, what is the out-of-pocket cost? And the additional cost of the JAFO and ankle brace as well? Finally, does it come with additional clamps that fit on to your shoe? I can't tell you what a pain in the neck it is for me to transfer my Carbon Fiber AFO from shoe to shoe. I hope to hopefully try this new orthotic! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Kevin, it is difficult for me to put my foot in a shoe with the bar coming up. I have no control in my toes to straighten them into the shoe, not like you do (without drop foot) can the bar be bend backward enough to clear my foot? I am a small size 6 older women. Thank you for you advise.

Great video. I just received mine and was fitted by hanger orthotics the person fitting me didn't know about this AFO? I think he didn't do my fitting right I have no spring feeling although my drop foot isn't that severe. I do have paralyzed toes. Not sure if that matters. He should of watched your video. I haven't had too much weight bearing on my legs, foot not sure if I could run with this. Just so your viewers know this device is expensive. My insurance covered it.
Hi kevin. My problem is severe supination and would love to try these but not sure they would help with supination and foot strike. I would use them for running. I have been a diabetic for over 40 years and help control my blood sugars with exercise. I have not been able to run long distance for over 20 years.

My husband has and Xtern and it has worked very well with athletic shoes. But how can we attach the clips to 'casual' shoes with fewer lace holes that don't go down towards the toe far enough, or dress shoes with the same issue?

I've had drop foot since 1996, I fall all the time the last time dislocating my shoulder and that was less than a month ago. Researching different shoulder injuries and therapy taping videos brought me to this video yea in a weird way I guess lol anyway is there anywhere that may do trials or testing of these I need a brace that works but I'm on disability too my insurance won't pay for a lot of the good ones I'm seeing that's sad too you think they'd pay for good quality ones so patients can have a good quality of life. I'm so tired of falling...

Can these be used as a brace for achillies tendinitis
Good question. We’ve had a few podiatrists interested in this for that reason. In my opinion it doesn’t provide enough load to train the Achilles. However not enough research has been performed for Achilles tendinitis to be sure. You certainly can apply the brace for any mechanical/ orthopedic condition it might help with. I’ve used this with a control strap for varus valgus deformation without foot drop and had fantastic outcomes

Thanks for posting this video -- very clear and informative! Suggestion: after cutting the cable tie, use a little sandpaper on the sharp edge of the remaining cable tie. It can scratch the fingers and hands, especially with elderly patients with fragile skin.

Do u have anything to stop the knee from popping back? I have something that helps with that but it locks the ankle. But when my leg get tired I'm dragging it maybe there's something that help me spring my leg foward when i walk so it won't get my leg tired as fast. I also found this workout that can help but I need something now temporarily it get back strong its called toes over knees guys it works u from the bottom on up ankel to reach up to lower back take a look have a peaceful day. 🙏
