I am assuming you are referring to her serious rugby question at the end of interview, well NRL = 12-14 million salary cap from 2018, Super Rugby 7 million salary cap from 2016. point being 7's and 10's rugby is having no effect on the NRL's popularity, the NRL seems to be leaving Super Rugby behind and the gaps increasing, imo there is your answer.

I'd love to see someone do a tube with highlights of both players and comparing their skills. You routinely see Australians rank Thurston as the top player in the NRL, but when you compare the two, Thurston highlights are mind numbing after watching Johnson's.
