These two video essays were incredible recaps of the series and it’s symbolism. I remember at the time it came out so many people complained that it was pseudo intellectual garbage and impossible to understand and was hated on so much by anime fans (outside of Japan at least). I’m so glad to see all the love it’s gotten since then from the other people who appreciate Ikuhara’s works
