Well can't believe that crack!! You can see straight through it!! The pink lotus bowl is sensational I can't believe that's just Chun Plum!!! Fantastic pieces and glaze combos❤❤
Awe pottery keeps us humble but the rest of your load was terrific! You’re right I do love that lotus bowl with chun plum ❤️. Also loving the jungle gems pieces!
Great Kiln opening! I use wax resist a lot and it has never caused any cracking. Things go wrong sometimes! I loved the look and shape of the chip and dip!!! You got this!!!!!!!
Mr Bear! What a cutie! Love your sons plate, will have to try marbling one of these days :) And oh my goodness yes, you win with that crack lol Still, all your pieces have come out lovely!
Hi Nat, wow what a great kiln opening! And got to hear Joel😊 the butteryfly yarn bowl turned out beautiful as did Joels bowl and plate, def see what you mean about the bottom but beautiful non the less. Oh man pink opal and cenote the form is stunning! Thr glaze equally so, I have nearly finished my pink opal after not loving it so much and now you show me a gorgeous combo with it😅 The jungle jems mugs are so lovely, you do those so well! Oh your lotus bowl shape I love so much the river birch an chun plum is dreamy, chun plum another im getting to the bottom of, just used it in my kiln unload too. The stripey yarn bowl is lovely, I would like to try out some layered transfers. Thr blue green carved yarn bowl is sooooo sweet, so happy your dipping clear is working. So glad the refire handpainted mug worked it is so beautiful ❤ Oh no your poor chip and dip bowl 😭 dont throw it away i reckon you can fix it up though to use it yourself or for Joels new place. I am going to do a kintsugi tutorial next and one of the ways I reckon you will be able to do it. My faves are both lotus bowls❤❤❤
Hey Julia! Oh yay yrs is up?? I’m going to watch now! I put a link in description to the Instagram vid I followed for the yarn bowl. My description was a little atrocious lol. I can see that pink opal would be too full on for you but I’m going to try it w pearl white or honey flux or r birch etc etc etc lol. A friend of mine makes mosaics so she gets all my “fails”. I did think of Kintsugi but the crack is really wide. If only I had a tutorial video haha.
The pieces worked out well. And I'm glad you're laughing about your disasters, far-out what a crack. I'm glad you're listening to yourself in regards to throwing. If the end result is good, who gives a "F" what others think/say. I mean wow, really, nothing better to say. How lovely that your son is there to help and has asked for you to make stuff for him. Happy potting PS your description on striped yarn bowl has confused me lol. It's so friggin gorgeous. PPS. You have discovered Temu. Oh my, it's got such good clay related products for such a reasonable price. You will be scrolling through Temu constantly. LOL I've bought loads of wooden stamps, rolling pins underglaze transfers andso much more.
Hey Evelyn yes I confused myself!!! Let’s see if I can attach the vid from instagram I followed …. instagram.com/reel/C6BwnTSr1qp/?igsh=MWZwbTdxcHZpYWt0cw==
I feel so bad for Tracy! Sending prayers her way!!Absolutely love the layering of the decals! How fun is that. I saw the video you shared thanks for including that! I can’t wait to go on temu and see what they have. I’ve stayed away until now but sticky screen prints sounds anaaazing!! My favorite piece is by far the one you used for the thumb nail. I’m so sorry your chip and dip didn’t make it!! Darn it!! Did you use alumina hydrate underneath?
Hey Michele yes I did. I really think it was my fault when glazing. I’ll get some brushing clear. Make sure u get the silk screen ones not just stencils. They r amazing! Have fun it’s so dangerous lol
Love kitties 😻! Very nice forms and super-glorious glaze combos…wow 🌈! Your hand painted flowers are very sweet ☺️, but… Ouch! On the black bubble dish. This is a true artistic opportunity, though… It’s beautiful to look at and exhibits your skill, so why not make it an art piece and try out the kintsugi method to repair it? Forget the chips and dip… it can become something else😉
Hi Mr. Bear! Lovely pieces! You know, Nat, I like Temu, too. I have seen those underglaze transfers and wondered how they would work. Well, now I know. Thank you for that! I will order and try it. I also have wanted to try the P Opal and Cenote. Looks great! I will do! Oh!...Poor Chip 'n Dip! It's a good opportunity to try something creative on it! Fill it with epoxy and gold leaf and seal, maybe! Thanks so much, Nat!
I have an idea that may help to stop cracking on big flat pieces. You can put a pattern on the bottom of the item so when it moves while firing, the piece will move without cracking. Cute Poods.
Hi Nat! I'm so sorry about the chip and dip! If it makes you feel better, I've got your s-crack beat by a mile. I had a large floppy bowl that the crack went from the rim down into the bowl, then almost all the way around the base. I feel your pain! I agree on the kiln favorite, and would put your flower mug at a close second. You're getting so good at the hand painting! Healing thoughts headed to Tracy. You've had a tough time, and deserve a respite!
Watched you kiln openings this morning with my coffee. So many beauties! Love the stripes on that yarn bowl..you’ve given me some ideas…and yes I do love that Chun Plum RB bowl!! Wowza!! The RQ / Cenote combo bowl was pretty fab too! Sorry about that chip/dip bowl! Bummer…I had an equal size crack in a sign I made.. I posted it on IG! I’m still sad about it! Haha! Trace I hope you feel better soon!!
Oh yay I hoped u watched that one. I’m thinking pink opal on pearl white could be amazeballs! My yarn bowl description was fairly atrocious so I’ve put a link in the description to the instagram vid I followed if u need xx
I was watching your video and love most of your stuff. The lotus bowl is great. Love the glaze combo. On the tirquoise butterfly bowl I would suggest you do the clear in a lofire glaze. Amaco LG 10 works great and can be taken to cone 5. It is great at 04 as well and food safe. I fear the other glaze will run at a hi temp firing
Love the whole kiln to bad about the chip and dip bowl. I was wondering about Temu transfer and silk screens so far everything I have bought from them has been great, Thanks for sharing
Beautiful pieces! Your clear glaze looks great. 👍👍 What brand of clear dipping glaze do you use? I've had more than my share of clear glaze - pre mixed jars - that have been overpriced and disappointing results.
Well can't believe that crack!! You can see straight through it!! The pink lotus bowl is sensational I can't believe that's just Chun Plum!!! Fantastic pieces and glaze combos❤❤
Hey jan! Ikr?? That’s talent lol
I'm living for that Chun Plum bowl! 🩷💜
Awe pottery keeps us humble but the rest of your load was terrific! You’re right I do love that lotus bowl with chun plum ❤️. Also loving the jungle gems pieces!
Thanks Lisa at least I get to make it again!!
This kiln opening has been full of beautiful surprises!
Love watching you! ❤
That chun plum bowl is amazing!❤

Thankyou yessss marble but be warned it’s addictive and expensive lol

Thankyou so much. Yes a friend of mine makes mosaic pieces so she gets all my “fails” to use.
Love your jungle gem mug and your lotus bowl ❤

Hey my drippy sista!!! Thankyou for watching again! Yes a friend of mine makes mosaics so she gets all my “fails” to use.
@@mudmagic407 That's perfect!

I put a swirl on the base of that one. I think it was my fault when glazing. I’ve never had one crack b4 so I guess I was due lol

Thanks pat im so worried about her. I just love hand painting. I wish I was better at it but I’ll keep going because I enjoy it so much.
Thanks Pat, I can’t believe I’m back to square one. 😢
You are an inspiration to me! Never give up!
Oh that’s so sweet thankyou!! Replacement chip n dip drying as I type lol

Hey Allen Thankyou! I kinda don’t mind if it runs. That could be famous last words. We shall see!!
Love the whole kiln to bad about the chip and dip bowl. I was wondering about Temu transfer and silk screens so far everything I have bought from them has been great, Thanks for sharing
Thankyou Corry yes I love temu. For how cheap they are the quality of most things is great.
I think Mayco has a glaze very much like Winterwood that doesn't run. I think called something birch
The thumbnail is Amaco river birch which moves a bit. Mayco has one just called birch but I haven’t tried it Thankyou!
Love the tulip bowl. Have you done a video on how to make it?
If u watch #65 it’s in there somewhere. Just fast forward to it lol
Beautiful pieces! Your clear glaze looks great. 👍👍
What brand of clear dipping glaze do you use? I've had more than my share of clear glaze - pre mixed jars - that have been overpriced and disappointing results.
Thanks Connie both brushing and dipping clear are Amaco Sahara zinc free clear. The best!
What is the glaze on the cup/mug? I have to own that!
Not sure which one but I say them all in the video.
