expert 7 is the WORST.
Two nights ago, I dreamed of a stage that was even harder than anything we've actually seen. It was an enormous stage that appeared impossible to complete. Like, it was colossally harder than SMB1 Expert 7, SMB2 Switch Inferno, BB 10-5, etc. All I remember of it is a giant cube that's supposed to be infiltrated by launching all the way from the bottom to the top of it. I guess there were some momentum techniques required to complete it as well, but they seemed hopeless. When I tried playing this dream stage, I failed every attempt by time expiration (or so I remember it that way). To top that, this stage was only Expert 22 of some game!
This game is so badly designed and it aged terribly. The sequel is one of the best video games ever made.
Fun fact: Exam C (Expert 7) is so difficult because it was originally going to be a Master stage.

Lol when you mentioned the glare, my mind instantly transported me back to playing monkey ball on the original xbox and the tv in my buddys room had the worst glare on it (as rear projection tvs tend to do) and it was like a flood of nostalgia lol. Even though its not what you were talking about, it was a nice memory that you triggered.
Expert 17 was never an issue for me, somehow. I don't think it's more difficult than Expert 4 or 21.

I agree with this list for the most part (I'd probably swap Master 3 and Master 9 and have Master 3 as the hardest as doing that stage legit is, for me at least, way harder than Master 9).
