Kevin Sorbo, best known for his role in ‘Hercules: The Legendary Journeys’, boldly shared his conservative values during his prolific acting career. Hollywood’s response was to ostracize him. This is his story.

"Let me have the chance to be rejected"
Best quote ever, I love it I felt it I need to apply it to my life
Don't worry he has already been "rejected" its why the "God's Not Dead" movies have done so poorly.
The first one was with Sorbo himself playing the snide, cynical and cruel "Athiest Professor who is mad at God which is why he isnt REALLY an Athiest".
The second movie was about a teacher who happened to mention The Bible in the context of a school lesson NOT like she was trying to convert students and suddenly the evil Athiests and the ACLU are trying to destroy her life in a powerful, dark conspiracy.
Can't imagine why they didnt do so well...
@@revparravager3184 I'll concede that those movies definitely needed to be better written to say the least, and yea the whole "I'm an atheist but I'm mad at God" thing made me laugh in front of my whole family in which they all gave me concerned looks.
In fact after the first one I decided that I wasn't gonna get the 2nd one a chance so thank you for letting me know about it so I don't waste my time.
That being said I am a Christian man and I do think that they had tunnel vision when making those movies and as a result we got what we got sadly.
To get back on topic however, I never mentioned any movies that he was in, I just thought that phrase was a good one to live by...Atheist, Christian, Buddhist, Agnostic, whatever. ^^
(I will double down on saying both movies you mentioned had some poor writing lol)

I met Kevin Sorbo at a convention and he was a great gentleman. Instead of just signing autographs and posing for pictures, he started conversation. He wanted to know about each person he met. He was the nicest person.
I did too - years ago in the UK. He was great to talk to, very friendly. It was a great experience.
I have talked with him several times over 2.5 decades and he always remembered my name and he still is down to Earth and a regular guy.
That's so good to hear, Delta. This is very believable after watching this video.
can confirm he's good with the staff as well.
That is so cool and he has always struck me as a regular guy. Just like the time my wife and I got to meet Shelley Duvall at advanced screening of her art film, "Twilight of the Ice Nymphs." There was question and answer after the movie. And then we got to talk to her personally in the theater lobby later. (It was Dallas, Texas and we were having one of those torrential spring storms. So, better to wait until the rain slows down to one bucket per hour.)
I'm thrilled to know that he held tight to his morals.

I grew up on portrayals by Lou Ferrigno, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mark Forest. Sorbo was a significant departure from the "brawny" portrayals of those actors. I was pretty critical of it at first. By the second season, though, he'd grown on me. Certainly is the most popular portrayal.

I see nothing at all wrong with your views and very glad to see you are not a follower but a strong leader instead. Thank you again!
You were amazing, you are amazing, thank you for standing up, for being an example!!!
Just as inspiring as the characters he played on tv. Hercules and Dylan Hunt both always tried to find common ground and not just be violent. Kevin Sorbo is a class act.
I noticed that too
He actually has some very good Christian movies.
Sometimes i feel like we're in the Andromeda universe and watching the Fall of the Commonwealth atm. :(
Kevin Sorbo, Jon Voight, Keanu Reeves,Henry Cavill, Denzel Washington, and i hope more - are only hope for today.....
They are all wonderful individuals. Place your hope in Jesus
Gina Carano.
That is a great list.
@@bobloerakker7010 we can add more of those good individuals,i hope,in that list
Jim Caviezel
I wish I was a huge producer, just so I could cast Kevin in every damn thing. Bless you sir!
Love you Kevin! Thanks for putting yourself out there and discussing issues. Those on the left get personal and name call because they can't win the argument. They deal in feelings not reality. I hope we can find common ground.
Kevin Sorbo is awesome 😎 👍🏻 I really enjoyed watching Hercules and Xena in the 90’s
Xena the leather clad princess. 😍😍
Working my way through Hercules as we speak....
Kevin Sorbo, and Lucy Lawless cannot stand each other. The two cannot be any more different on the Social/Political spectrum. Ms. Lawless is another Liberal loon.
Same^^
@@theunknownguy5775 rewatching rn too.
I have so much respect for Kevin Sorbo. One of the good guys in Hollywood.
I watch Hercules as a teen. The funny thing here is that Mr. Sorbo acts as Hercules did in the series. Well, aside from the whole super-human strength thing. Would love to meet him one day.
That's great that he took a stand for what America stands for! Enjoyed hearing about the real Kevin. 🙏👍😎
Kevin Sorbo is great. I'll watch his movies just because I know it drives Hollywierd into an Orgasm of Rage that he gets to still make films. Good on you mate.
I am amuslim I was about eleven when I first saw Hercules we used to watch it in Ramadan in Egypt
Same here in Singapore
From cali, not religious and used to hate America, but now days since trump became president I'm conservative/libertarian and understand christians and love the greatest constitution of a country ever written...also started watching Hercules on tv with them rabbit ears and 7 fuzzy channels when I was about 11 🐇🍿🍻✌
Yea it was great series, there was nothing about modern politics, everyone could enjoy it.
Change your perspectives , become a Christian ! 😘
@@delicheres bruh
One of the biggest childhood heroes. Stay strong Kev !
Thank you soooo much for your insightful words defending this country against cancel culture. Watching you on TBN today gives me a new feeling of strength to carry on no matter what negative feedback attack may come before me.
