The Best Quality Affordable Fashion Brands

- Today, I’m going to be talking about where to buy decent quality, affordable clothing that looks good. I’ve been asked to make this video quite a few times in the comment section of my videos so it’s about time I did it. Everyone has their own idea of what affordable is and some of the stores are more expensive than others but there is going to be something for everyone here.
I also just want to say that none of these brands are perfect and corners have to be cut somewhere to lower the costs for the consumer. This is why I don’t shop in certain stores. Fast fashion isn’t doing any good for the environment, so try and buy the best quality you can and only buy what you need.

What’s your favourite affordable brand?
tigha
walmart
H&M is my personal favorite
gotta be Arket
Uniqlo
Uniqlo is always a solid choice I feel like in terms of quality and so far my experience with ASOS has been great although I've only ordered from them a couple of times, I stay away from stuff that have poor reviews which is a fair few so I guess you're right about the hit and miss thing lol. Thanks for the recs Harry
Glad you liked them mate
Definitely agree with the list youve made. Keep up the great work Harry
Thank you mate. Glad to hear
Hey Harry, I just wanted to say I discovered your channel a few days ago and have already picked up some really excellent tips. Love your style!
Thanks mate. Really pleased to hear. Thanks for subscribing
God bless for this video. Just found pieces I’ve wanted for along time but couldn’t afford the super expensive brands. These cheaper brands have solid fits
You are doing great videos mate ! Thank you! It's a shame Arket doesn't deliver to the US, will try COS and Weekday.
Actually, about a week ago I bought a trench coat off eBay for $10. I gave it to my friend that is a tailor so all the repairs were $35 but he discounted it for $12. That's not even the best part. The best part is that the trench coat is Burberry. Second hand shopping is the best!
I’m actually after a vintage Burberry coat. Nice find
Probably fake though if you bought from eBay.
Probably a fake bro, but if it looks nice and last, Hey it’s worth it
I love "hunting" for clothes in the second hand stores, almost always find some great piece, even some small local designers' clothing. Second hand stores are my favourite kind of clothing stores.
They are great
Thank you so much!
I will check them right away.
Can alwayssss rely on COS & Arket 🙌🏽! I'm certainly going to be taking a look at Kotn, I like what I see from what you shown 🙌🏽! Great video as always brother!
Thanks a lot brother. Have a good bank holiday 👍
@@HarryHas what about NEXT? i bu most of the items for M&S and NEXT
really want to know your opinion on Next, cheers
This was a sick video! so many brands i've never heard of. Admittedly I get a lot of pieces from Zara and H&M...lmao. Looking forward to trying some of the other ones out!
Great video! Thanks ☺️ liking yr hair!
Thanks a lot mate
Of these, the only ones I’m familiar with are Uniqlo and ASOS. It looks like I have a lot to look into now. I’m excited.
Now this video is for the people! Great looking out for the masses!
Glad to help mate
Would love to see a video on your favourite mid range priced brands?? Like ALD, Acne studios? Around that price range. Thanks man, great video!
I have a similar video on the channel called ‘Brands worth the money’ or something like that, which has those brands in. However, my list would probably have changed a bit since then. Maybe I’ll make an updated version
Wow... already 100k subs. congrats G!
Thank you very much, mate
M+S was always the go to place for all my school stuff as a kid. Their trousers can survive all manner of playground shenanigans and their shirts stay in shape nicely. I mostly thrift for high end brands at ultra low prices but if I see an M+S cashmere jumper I will always buy it. However their shoes aren't so great. I got a pair of black loafers which looked and felt amazing, but the soles were very low quality and wore through in a couple of months and the leather started cracking on the vamps soon after. These days I keep my eyes peeled for anything by Loake, Cheaney or any of the other traditional English shoemakers. With a bit of patience I can score some cheap deals on shoes that will probably outlast me. It always feels good to grab a pair of nearly new £400+ shoes for less than £20!
My go to has always been J Crew for affordable classics. Love all your videos! Thank you!
We have J Crew in London but never been there myself. Thanks mate
@@HarryHas Unfortunately not - they closed all of their 6 stores in the UK a couple of years ago so its online ordering only now. Really solid quality when you buy on sale.
@@jasvir17 Oh really? That shows you how much I go to London or clothes shopping on the high street in general. I do all my shopping online. A lot of stores are closing down these days, which is a shame but I can see why.
Uniqlo u airism shirt in white is one of the most versatile pieces out there. A great introductory piece into oversized clothes
really needed this video 🙌
Pleased to hear
YES to Marks & Sparks! I've found myself on their website more and more these days as well! You can tell we're getting older mate haha. You've pretty much just listed all the websites that I frequent on the daily!
Hahaha. I’m loving the cosy grandad fits these days. Slippers, a cosy knit and a good fire is all I need!
Happy 100k subs bruv. 💯
Thanks a lot mate
Almost forgot about Marks and Spencer, they have here in my country, might check them out I didn't know they're kinda affordable as well since I tend to avoid their stores since I thought they're expensive lol. My only choice was always Uniqlo, since their market is so height friendly (I'm 5'6'' only lol). And their quality is so above H&M, H&M's clothes don't last me at all. There's Muji as well, I'm not sure if they have stores from where you live tho, Harry. I'd classify Muji as an upgraded Uniqlo, you might want to check them out as well!
My country doesn't have COS and ASOS sadly...
we don’t even have a Uniqlo flagship store in NZ haha. Might need to give KOTN a peep. Love the vid Harry!
That Porter James Harrington too 👀
My nearest is London and I hardly go. Thanks a lot man. Have a great Sunday
Gotta shop for Weekday clothing any day of the week, especially on the weekdays!!
Harry! 100k subs!! I remember when you had a couple of thousand - knew you'd do well:)
Thanks mate
congrats on 100k subs dawg
Thanks so much mate
The flow of the video was soo sweet i slept off!
Thanks mate
I've lived in Vancouver for five years and I just learned about Kotn for the first time from you 🤣
Hahaha better late than never! Seem to be a really decent brand
Hi Harry, I totally agree with your list! Can you tell us what jacket are you wearing in this video? it's sick!
Thanks mate. Check the description 👍
Some mango pieces have lasted me 3-4 years. Since I entered and left University. I also bought from their Outlet and you get good items (although you need to know what to buy). But for real every pant Ive bought in Mango has lasted me at least 1.5-2 years for me. I even have two suits that are impeccable.
The king in the North! :D
Appreciate it mate Cheers 🥂
The problem I have with a lot of these brands is sizing. I'm 6"3' 215lbs. Either their larger sizes are immediately out of stock or they don't even bother making them. Or, their 2XL will fit like an L. Or, my favorite, the larger sizes will be significantly more expensive. There is a certain body type and size person most mid to high fashion want to wear their clothing. And it's definitely not me.
Great video! Do you know Mango? It's quite known here in Italy, and I think it's a great compromise between quality and price!
I do. We have them in the UK. I’m afraid they have their problems when it comes to sustainability
I really really love uniqlo pants, because of the free tailoring and how stretchy they are. We live only a few hours from japan, so Uniqlo clothes are way cheaper than compared to the US/UK.
Free?! They charge an extra $15 to get pants cut here in Canada. 😢
@@IchiBeemo dam bro here in my country (singapore) they charge free regular altering for trousers/jeans over 50sgd and 5$ for a blind stitch. if the pants below 50, 5$ for regular altering and 15 for a blind stitch. thing is most things are above 50 so yay i guess
@@IchiBeemo yeah man, free in the Philippines so long as you bought them there!
Great video! Currently shopping at Uniqlo for a lot of my hoodies. Thinking of upgrading a few of them. Where do you think sells the best hoodies?
Thanks a lot. There are a lot of great Hoodie brands out there. Cole Buxton, AMI, Rue Porter, Lady White, Champion, the list goes on.
@@HarryHas thanks I’ll check those out!
I would add Mango Man. They keep up with the trends and their stuff lasts. Good bang for the buck.
Unfortunately they don’t seem to be very sustainable or ethical so I wouldn’t recommend them
@@HarryHas That's a shame. Wasn't aware of that.
Your jacket colour……really suits you 👌🏼
Thank you very much
any recommendations for oversized and slightly cropped hoodies like cole buxton and yeezy gap but for a cheaper price?
M&S are also good for lightweight jackets like bombers for around 60 quid.
Love your video from vietnam
I’ll have to check out arket, cos, and weekday. Info on the green jacket you have on?
Thank you mate. All items linked in the description
In my country basically none of these count as "Affordable Brands" :D Those would be something like H&M, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Reserved etc. Great vid though, always entartaining!
It is interesting to hear you say you can buy better quality for the same amount of money as H&M and Zara from these places. How is that possible? When I look at their online store literally everything is singificantly more expensive at COS or Uniqlo for example, even the basics are more expensive
What is that fantastic green jacket that you are wearing?
This is a very good content! I would love if you did something similar for women
Thanks a lot. All these stores have women’s clothing too 👍
5:18, where did you buy that T-shirt from?
You can get some decent menswear at Costco. Some of the Kirkland clothes are even pima cotton
What is that jacket you are wearing?
UNIQLO shares the same retailers as other fast fashion brands as far as I know. Their garments are made in China if I'm not wrong. Justine Laconte has a video on how to spot fast fashion brands and I think it is a helpful video if you're into being a more responsible consumer. Take care!
Giorgio Armani,Kenzo,Balenciaga have suits Made in China!
@@gringo2900 noooooo, I did know that some high-fashion brands would do dirty by producing their garments in questionable factories, however, I wasn't aware of the exact brands that would do this.
Thanks for the fact!
@@gringo2900I own a lot of balenciaga and none of it is made in china
That's Cool
I seem to buy about 70% of my clothes from Marks and Spencer. I have a very basics orientated style, I have a local accessible store and for the very reasonable prices I struggle to find reasons to buy clothes elsewhere. I bought a pair of jeans from Uniqlo online recently and I really felt like I was pushing the boat out!
MnS have very decent basics. Also their underwear is great and last a long time
I will *rarely* buy from Zara if something is on a deep discount, but generally yeah, avoid. I got their duplicate of the Homme Plisse black pants and the stitching was awful around the cuffs. I'm getting it tailored to fit me better and fix the issues, hopefully it works out because I don't want to spend that much on Issey Miyake right now.
Hi :) im looking for one of those? did you buy it recently? if so, how did you search it?
I have a simple mantra, zara stuff only if it's the last couple Thursdays of their sale
What about the brand Lethato?
Uniqlo and H&M are the brands available here in the Philippines. Affordable yet stylish
PH now has COS too
Asket ftw 🙌🏻
Asket and Arket are two different brands. And ASKET are not affordable at all (atleast in my opinion and my budget).
Unfortunately here in Australia most of those brands aren't in store only online or not affordable at all even uniqlo 😢
Asos can be a big hit or a complete miss. I wouldn't put it on the list because of that. I have some pieces that I wear quite often but the majority of items I bought off of Asos I sent back due to poor quality, horrendous fit or item looking completely different in person compared to how it looked on the site.
I put it on because of the other brands they stock
Yeah asos quality can be pretty bad, I’ve bought some hats from them (from other brands) that were nice though
Surprised Everlane isn't on the list. They make decent quality basics and they have sales pretty often.
They claim to be sustainable but apparently they aren’t. It put me off them a bit. They are also pretty pricey these days
not related to clothes but he's right, M&S fruit and veg is top tier
I have spent so much money in Arket and ended up hating the brand. Now it is a no go, together with Zara, just for the quality. Or lack thereof. From all those under h&m I think &other stories and cos have the better quality. I have had a couple of monki pieces that are indestructible.
I also has slowing down on uniqlo recently.. it's the quality & sustainability for me. they're using more and more synthetic fabric. the ratio between natural fibre to synthetic is huge. for example they put 10-20% cotton and the rest is polyester & acrylic. I understand each material has their own function. but cmon 20% cotton?? with the high price they're selling 😓 and the quality itself is declining. these days I only look up to their cotton, linen, cashmere material and the collaboration they had. although I want to move on from uniqlo, but there are still some items that is still worth buying. it is super rare for me to buy uniqlo now unfortunately
Did you see the Marni X Uniqlo coming this month?
whats that jacket u r wearing mate?
Porter James Sports. I’ve linked their website in the description
Sale items from Everlane are usually pretty affordable
what music did you use in this video? :)
Just stock music from Epidemic Sound
Low key some of my favourite pieces are from Marks and Spencer lol
Being a tall chap, the thing I struggle with is sleeve and trouser length. I agree that M&S have upped their game recently, and I really like the look of some of their shirts for example, however the arm length in my usual size is ridiculously short! Going up a size makes it look like I'm wearing a barrel!
I'm 195cm and get my trousers and jeans from Uniqlo mostly. They have a lot of 36L options and fit really nicely.
@@MVdR-lj7vn thanks will check them out. I'm getting sick of Levi's!
Really like arket. Unfortunately their smalllest size is a 46 which is just too big for me (im a 44). Quite weird actually. Mango is also a solid option
Unfortunately, Mango have some way to go when it comes to sustainability and being ethical.
@@HarryHasdo you have any links? Inditex is more ethical?
Asos popular here in saudi i like them
Your thoughts on the Marni X Uniqlo Collab?
I like Marni and it was good to see but I feel I’d rather get a piece from Marni or a piece from Uniqlo. I find the collabs kinda don’t feel too special for some reason
wish Market shipped to the US
Nice video! Just a shame that Weekday, Cos and Arket are all part of the H&M group
Thanks a lot. I know. Hopefully they continue to make positive changes
@@HarryHas I agree. It appears they show at least more effort than Zara in that sense
urban outfitters?
The jeans from Cos fits you much better than they fit me (not sure what I am doing wrong 😅)
Ever tried Asket?
I’ve had loads from Asket. Like the brand but the clothing is too simple for my taste. I have some pieces from them though
What size are your jeans from Cos?
Can you do a video about good quality loungewear brands? :)
That’s an interesting one. I’ll add it to the list
handvaerk
Burton?
Such an embarrassment to hear that a group of NGOs are taking legal action against Uniqlo following the company’s involvement in forced labour with Ouighours
UNIQLO it's the best brand, i love your products
Why would you not mention prices when talking about affordability?
The correct answer is
*Banana Republic and Coach*
Anyone know other brands like norse projects and Acne that have clothing that actually fits slim and shows off your frame. It feels like every tshirt these days is atleast somewhat boxy.
Sunspel, CDG, Son of a Tailor, Isto, Asket, COS, CDLP, Organic Basics, there are loads
@@HarryHas thankyou for the suggestions.
MANGO Man is another great option imo.
LMAO ! Hell no...
@@calypsojordana3274very substantiated comment 🙄
I like the jacket you're wearing, can you tell me the name?
It’s linked in the description
Sold out though I’m afraid
@@HarryHas thank you for the info
I find my jeans from Arket to be better than my Levis… It’s sad but hey ik where to buy em now :)
That’s good to known I haven’t had a pair of Levi’s jeans in years
I thought he said “sack and ham” 🤣
You missed Reiss
What about Next?
M&S is kinda expensive here in PH🇵🇭
It's interesting that 3 of the brands on this list are owned by H&M.
Great list but honestly cannot recommend Weekday at all. Everything I've bought from them (except their jeans) has been of horrible quality and fallen apart within a few washes.
Ahh no way. I normally buy their heavyweight stuff and it’s been great. Love weekday
Try buying their organic cotton stuff and pay attention to the weight. That’s what I do
@@HarryHas Yeah, that might be it. Shirts, cardigans stuff like that are what I've had bad experiences with.
@@thomas_trandal yeah, I haven’t had any of those items from them. Good to know though. Thanks for the info
Some of these brands are not available in my country 😑
just support your local brands, or local tailors or anyone selling clothing.
FCUK used to be really good. Quality went down a little I think……
Uniqlo.
always find the quality of weekday to be quite crap tbh!
You have to pick the right things. Look at the weight and materials you are buying. I love their heavyweight organic cotton Tommie tee!
@@HarryHas I think I ordered that before but returned it. Personally I find their heavyweights to be too stiff - almost like cardboard and unpleasant to wear. each to their own though!
+Mango men and muji
Not sure how Asos is not considered as fast fashion
It is fast fashion. All the brands on this list are fast fashion.
I thought ASOS only sells laptop.
That’s Acer
ASUS*
@@tal4466 that’s the one!
I appreciate your videos Harry but I'd just like to point out - COS and Arket are owned by the H&M Group, and at then end you say you are skeptical of H&M's sustainability practices. In addition, H&M Group is not very ethical. Almost none of its supply chain is certified by labor standards which ensure worker health and safety, living wages or other labor rights. I understand the point of the video is to showcase quality affordable brands, but if you are going to bring up these topics I hope you present information to your audience properly.
I mentioned that in the video. For their sustainability rating, H&M, cos, weekday and Arket are all ranked the same. I didn’t say otherwise. I am just putting brands out there that are affordable as I know not everyone can afford to spend a lot on clothing. These brands are far better than a lot of other affordable brands out there in my opinion
@@HarryHas Thank you for clarifying Harry. Appreciate it!
arket, asket.. man people need to name brands better 🤣
I always imagined your full name to be Harry Has Style. Idk why you just have to much style!
That’s very kind of you. Thanks
