- There are certain fashion styles (trends) that I think are amazing, both for the individual and for fashion as a whole. Then there are others that are doing people no favours at all. So, Is your style one of the good ones or should it be thrown away into oblivion and forgotten about forever? Well, let’s find out.

I thought I'd spend less with a minimalist style - but now whenever I pass a UNIQLO I cannot resist
Same here bro
uniqlo is fast fashion
@@ember24k80 ok
@@georgefinch8835 do you not know the problems of fast fashion?
@@ember24k80 I do not care
The worst one for me is the "Instagram photo" style. It's those outfits in photos that get lots of attention and likes for the artistc posing, colors, and style, but when you see it in motion(someone wearing it to the grocery store, or hanging out at the mall), it just looks so weird and out of place.
yea interesting style would look out of place in some places...
Some of those outfits are like my long hair, as soon as I move a bit it shifts and looks bad. Luckily I love having a bun anyway, I can't STAND when a part of my outfit requires frequent readjustment, it's gotta be comfy and practical.
@@Gnurklesquimp Accurate af. No readjusting wardrobes are super underrated.
I think some people like looking out of place or different than everyone
Saw a video where someone called this "nothingcore" because it's chaotic and bright and flashy with almost no substance or historical background for any of the pieces. Just as bizarre as possible to get clicks lol
I ran into this channel by accident, and it’s been a treasure trove of information. I’m coming off being a minimalist and wearing minimalist style. Now I’m investing in quality pieces that make me feel amazing, thanks for the guidance Harry.
Great to hear mate
Exact same thing here! Found him from the beanies vídeo!
I think the Peaky Blinders style looks objectively good. Unfortunately it falls into the category of "trying too hard" to achieve a look. It never quite looks natural on people. I live in Washington state, so we get plenty of outdoor gear and workwear, and it's so easy to look stylish without sticking out and looking unnatural in your setting.
I like influences of those bygone eras. I love flat hats, crombie coats, brogues or lace up boots, etc.
I wear classic men’s style, so people often associate it with peaky blinders. It is the hardest style to pull off straight up considering you have to shop vintage or vintage style, you have to actually study it to know what is true of the era and only then when you achieve this you get the look. So yeah it’s trying hard but it’s worth it.
i dress like this (also minimalist depends on day/season) and my philosophy is "there's no such thing as overdressing". if you are the best dressed guy in the room, you aren't overdressed, they are underdressed.
I think there are two main reasons why the Peaky Blinders style looks try hard with the first one being the modern lines used in theoratically almost all the formal clothing we wear. Just think about the evolution of our pants from 1850s to our current timeline. Many things have changed but the people who want to dress similar to the 20s don’t realise this fact they use modern fabric modern lines modern formalities with modern tops but pair these with the 20s ideology thus it looks try hard. The other is the environment imo. Currently we continue to develop the industrial revolution. This brought loads of different factors into our lives and allowed us to tune our aesthetics into efficiency. Our buildings roads cars everything evolved into what brings us surplus and this made our styles serve to the effective.
The chav shaved sides haircut is dodgy though!
The sneakerhead bit feels like a standup comedy 😂
Haha good to hear
The love island style could also be called the alpha man style, the teaching men’s fashion style or the Alex costa style, basically every American fashion CZcamsr style.
Yeah, douchebag style.
The poser style essentially
Everyone was wearing that in 2015 not just those people I hate to say it but even me
Where I live, thrifting has become a trend so much so that thrift shops are now selling secondhand stuff for the price of a new piece, which is getting insane.
Workwear is so versatile and incredibly cool looking imo
Really dig how polite your presenting style is. Nice to be thanked for watching.
That’s always good to hear. And… thanks for watching 😉🙏
This was a lot of fun to watch.
It was like a bitesize one man podcast.
Glad to hear mate. Thanks a lot
I can only imagineeeee the difference in floor clutter between the minimalist style type to the vintage style type 😂!! Great video as usual brother 👏🏽!
😂😂😂 Thank you very much dude
@@HarryHas enjoy your Sunday mate
I’m glad you are sharing your thoughts on these topics.
My style being a mix of workwear, gorpcore, minimalism, and almost entirely thrifted, this boosted my ego a little too much. I will confess to being a bit of a sneakerhead and also wearing a decent mix of more basic skate/surf core, but I think a sprinkle of this paired with those other styles does well to enhance it.
The "Peaky Blinders' Style" is actually just classical elegance. If people cannot do it well, they simply didn't studied enought to know the right proportion and the fit that a suit should have to look great, or even when and where you can wear a color instead of another. Classical style is immortal, is people's fault if it's seen as ridicilous
The best style out there is the one you feel most comfortable in, no matter what anyone or everyone can say about it 🤷🏽♂️
Only thing I'd say is, just be respectful with the environment 👌🏼
I like it better when you're about great analysis and good recommendations, but I acknowledge there's always to need to experiment.
Loving the new hairstyle❤
Cheers from the other side of the pond.
I wanna mix things up to keep things different. There are only so many videos I can do where I recommend and analyse stuff. Thanks for watching
Great comment. Too often I like something I see online on someone else. It ends up being a little too adventurous for me and I’ll never wear it and revert to my uniform… resulting in another wasted purchase
@@blaket2228 little by little, try and mix that something with other pieces you usually wear, or wear at home and then try it out. The wrist thing it can happen is decide no to use it again 🤷🏾
Your delivery is solid, unique, and pitch-perfect.
Gotta appreciate the humour in these videos😅
(And I must admit that if I’ve implemented any of these styles myself, it is probably the love island style. Trying to stat away from the Zara’s though)
Glad you enjoy them mate
I am agree with your explanations. Timeless pieces are the best.
Your video presentation is full of details. I love it!
Alright Harry? Always like watching your videos! I live in Tokyo so obviously I'm also influenced by Japanese and Asian fashion, but I'd say overall our views on fashion are quite similar. Would love to see/hear your take on Japanese fashion in general in a video soon! Especially seeing how you've raved about your Issey Miyake pants lol. Keep it up mate, great content!
I love Japanese fashion. I would absolutely love to visit Japan one day. It’s always been a dream of mine!
You're very lucky to live there because it's amazing for fashion.
@@pjf2193 Aye I agree! The absolute plethora of choices here is amazing in itself, but what I genuinely like the most is the thrifting culture here. You'd get some absolute steals in mint condition, it's good for the environment, and you won't wind up looking like every bloke on the street. I know thrifting is/was seen as cheap in some other parts of the world, but people really take care of their stuff here, and some even sell it off after one wear just because they didn't want it any more.
@@HarryHas Yeah you really should visit before the yen climbs back up again!
@@eugeneang5946 The only issue about thrifting in Japan (at least in my experience) is finding the right size. I typically wear UK/US M but most items there (across all the different shops) are S. Other than that, the selection is great
The part "speaking of love" was really good piece of writing. Thank you for the video )
You are the best channel I have discovered in 2023 so far. Subscribed.
"The only climbing they'll be doing is on their bike into town for an oat milk latte and a pastry" 🤣
Yo the got corks meme you got that out the archives lol
Great video harry, been loving the last few you've done, your personality is really showing in the videos along with your fashion knowledge. Also pana chocolate is my go to pastry, Jokes. My style is more basics with a touch of vans DMs or converse elements thrown in. A berghaus or barbour bedale jacket on rainy days 🤌🏼
🌺Happy remembrance day🌺
Thank you very much mate. That’s lovely to hear. 🙏
I’m pretty new to this channel and man your becoming one of my favorites the videos are just so calming to watch keep up the great work man!
Thank you very much mate and thanks for the support. It means a lot
Great video, really enjoyed watching it. Currently i’m going for a minimal aesthetic but i love a good workwear piece like flannels every now and then. As you said: workwear is super versatile.
Also just love it that you’ve included a Joe Greer, not only a photography but also fashion inspiration.
Joe’s photography is incredible. Him and Willem Verbeek are some of my favourites on social media
@@HarryHas same bro. They have influenced my photography the most
Spot on!
Happy to see a new upload from you, Harry!
Thanks for watching bro
That was a fun video to watch. The content was interesting and your sense of humor had me smiling all the way through. Bravo!
Thank you very much mate. Glad you enjoyed it
my all time favorite video of yours 🤞🏼
Ahhh that’s amazing to hear. Thank you
your humor here reminds me of frugal aesthetics vids. great vid much love
That’s great to hear. Love Frugals vids
Love the segment on sneakerheads great video, always a pleasure to watch your videos when I'm meant to be doing something important
Hahaha. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I can 100% agree with you.
The love island style (i think) is called the ”male gaze”, in other words what men think women want. The style emphasises muscles etc
And yes, as a woman that is much better than big ugly workwear, that hides the body and erases sexuality completely...
Look, i've stumbled upon a few of your videos over the past months and now I gotta say, your channel is exceptional.
Thanks so much
I'm all over the 5th hand clothes! And that Peaky Blinders observation is bloody spot on.. see plenty of those around Cardiff haha.
I need to make more of an effort to look 5th hand. Hahaha yeah man, the midlands is pretty bad too for the peaky blinder look!
Vintage style! (And yes, I can't stop myself from shopping for those unique pieces!) 😅❤️❤️❤️
3:20, thanks for clearing that up
🤘🤟
Loving these videos. I really got a kick out of the vinyl addiction confession. 😂
Glad you like them mate
This is your most hilarious video to date by far! 😂
Some work pants, vintage t-shirt, a nicely fitting jacket and some good-looking sneakers are what I usually wear and I definitely reccomend trying it out. 😅
You continue to be my favourite fashion CZcamsr
🙏
I don't know how well this would go down algorythm wise, but I would love to see long, essay style videos from you!
What do you mean?
@@HarryHas Longer videos about discursive topics that engage people in a discussion, like fast fashion, influence social media has on fashion, etc...
I feel that the sneakerhead you’re describing is me 😂😂🥲🥲🥲
Fun video Harry 🤩. I kind of like the peaky blinders hat. We don’t have too many dressing like the Shelby boys here in Canada,so it’s not the worst yet 😋.
I have 80+ pairs of shoes and I don’t want any more. Focusing on expanding the rest of my closet now, exploring different textures in clothes.
Good sense of humor, bro)
This video made me laugh lots, bless you.
The love island style 😂😂😂 that sums it up perfectly.. anyone who dresses like that watches love island 100%
That smoky voice is soothing.
Yo this is the first video I have seen from you and I subscribed cuz the one liners are FUNNY AF lmaoooooooooo
Bro you're just 4k sub when i subscribed to your channel.🤯 CONGRATS btw.
Really enjoy your presentation and dry humour.
Favourite pastry chocolate croissant. I know. Very last year aren't they but I just like them.
Thanks a lot and I don’t really think you can have a bad pastry. Your is up there for me with the almond croissant and cinnamon bun!
You are the best dude 👌🏻, cheers from Mexico
Thanks a lot mate 🙏
Always an entertaining watch mate! Might audition for Love Island one day to rock those fits 😂
Hahaha thanks a lot bro. I think you would look great in those fits 😂
I really like your sense of humour, it made me smile. I wanted to ask what brand is the sweater you're wearing in this video?
“Because I just need it, alright!” 😂 can relate to this
I rock the workwear style because im a welder and always heading to work or home from work. Definitely in need of need jeans though. Mine are supposed to be blue but there is more brown (not poop), than blue.
I love your channel and your takes on fashion. I'm into Brooks Brothers and preppy style about 3 years ago. What's your take on preppy and if you could, make a video about it please.
Winter outfit ideas...plz
Your Love transition made me want to subscribe, until I realized I have already subbed, and liked the video. Hehe, power of Fashion my dear friend.
Hahah thanks mate. Appreciate the support
Great Video as always 👍
Thanks a lot dude
Hair is looking good mate 👌
Thank you very much
Smooth lines bro👍

Love an almond croissant (with a pour over coffee of course)
An almond croissant is my go-to
Love the content. 😄😃
Glad to hear mate
Your hair looks great mate
Appreciate it dude. I’ve grown it out a bit
your voice is very relaxing for me
Pleased to hear
Love Island style is spot on 😂 I hate those too!
That gorpcore/pastry comment was great aha
I personally buy a bunch of military surplus, vintage or cold war.
However I rarely wear multiple army pieces at once because I'm not tryna be like a milita soldier or larper.
Specially hate mixing camo patterns.
I tend to mix older surplus jerseys or jackets/parkas in drab with minimalist I guess.
Wax leather boots, dark jeans.
And the more modern surplus parka's poncho's with more "gorp" and dark sneakers.
Sometimes the older surplus drab mixes with workwear well too.
(Or more traditional "gorp" like fjäll räven, if you can even call it gorp)
I like durable clothing as I generally am outside.
But I do like to make it work style wise too.
Agree with everything that you talked about in this video, Mate 🤘
Well I must say, your haircut looks good. Funny, but guess what - I've got the exact same style 😅
Such a fun video to watch and Loveee your black top. Which label is it if you mind sharing? Cheers
I didn't even know that the peaky blinders even became a "style" per se and I have to say, and for some reason it really doesn't sit well with me how people commonly think of this series. There have been countless times that people have labeled me as one, only because I enjoy my camel coat and wear a flat cap from time to time; and never have I ever tried to look like a peaky blinder in my life
As soon as I got a better paying Job I started buying more slow fashion brands and is GREAT. You just have to choose well and already know what your style is to play around with it.
The quality is totally on another level, from the fabric to the fit. They take in consideration the population wearing it, not some random european standard. First time I buy shirts and pants that fits my body well without tayloring (black latin body shape are slight different than an european-ish that is used in fast fashion).
but I can say I'm a minimalist who wears colors now, because it ain't cheap
great video. It was quite entertaining. Thanks for the fun.
Thanks for watching
The only place I've seen a hypebeast irl is at the mall. I think that tells you all you need to know about their mindset. Either way, just found this channel and it's one of the best fashion channels I've ever come across.
Thanks a lot mate. That means a lot 🙏
the love island one is so true 😂😂
I find the Gorpcore style hilarious. Because it's the norwegian style purely out of necessity. Everyone I know dressed like that before it was even a thing.
Bro really roasted Tim Dessaint in the intro like that
"let us know you're favorite pastry" lmfao!...
croissant.
Solid choice
Great video !!! My parents live in Altrincham UK and the Love Island/Hollyoaks look is still very popular there. My closet is a mix of all of those except Love Island and 20s. I've always been a sneakerhead, but I'm nowhere near as obsessive as I was 10 yrs ago. I've only bought 5 pairs this year (I've had hundreds of pairs in the past but right now I have about 20 in my collection) which is a lot for the average Joe, but not much for an avid sneaker-head. I also wear most of my sneakers into the ground, and I think sneaker walls in bedrooms are just slightly corny and juvenile.
Thanks a lot mate. Glad you enjoyed this one
3:53 Definitely my problem 😂
I agree with everything except that your worsts are my best and vice versa 😂
Workwear and Gorpcore are my favortite
I have the same problem with vinyl 😅
yes we love last 😂
“sacrificing hot meals for sneakers” 😂
Don't forget the extreme baggy look! Seems to be more popular in asian countries.
I don't know why, but I keep seeing them on my Instagram explore feed! : P
Great video
episode 2 plz
Go. Off. Harry.
I love these videos. Keep it up, good sir
Dude, I dont know where you are from but your accent ist just awsome
I always wear a flat cap because I’m Irish and my family wears them but I don’t live there anymore and now people on the street yell “. Hey peaks blinders “ at me even tho it’s a family tradition to wear such hats
Finish the slow tho. The last season is truly excellent, mate.
That Love Island style IS the worst. It’s like bros dressing up as hipsters for Halloween.
Nice video! What about denimheads?)
