Hey man how’s it been going for ya? I’m planning on picking one up for my first car (it’s my money not family) I’m moving to Toronto for college. How is insurance?
Thanks for your thoughts. I came from an ND Miata that I daily drove for the last 4 years and am considering a Supra as my new daily. Winters in New England are not terrible (usually) and I don't have to drive anywhere when it does snow. It sounds like a set of snow tires and use your head.
Hey im going to be geting my supra soon, can i ask what type of winter tires and rims did you get? I'm kinda new to this, I apologize for my lack of knowledge
@@1anre honestly im 2 months in with the supra. Defs have some buyers remorse. The subaru is an absolute beast in the winter. Never got stuck once. In the past month in the supra been stuck like 8 times.
How tall are you? Toronto winter hasn’t been nice these past few months, so been juggling thoughts between the A91-MT Supra, BRZ & the WRX but it’s the ugliest model they ever released and it’s not even packing an STI trim for 2023. What was the MSRP & options you got for yours & which dealership sorted you out?
I have a 24 3.0 premium on the way from the manufacturer gonna be picking it up towards the end of march but i plan on it being my daily driver in new england so im happy to hear it does pretty well in those conditions
He did say that the supra is the best sports car under 100k to daily in the winter… you can correct me if im wrong but, im going off of what ive heard about M line bmw’s, is that they are just under 100k or a little over 100k. They very well could be better than the supra to daily in the snow but for what he was explaining it sounds like the supra is a more affordable alternative than an m series bmw.
@kemsoabe9446 if 100k is the limit, what about the corvette? Technically the msrp is lower than 100k and my c7 is definitely much more comfortable and daily drivable than a supra.
@@blaze376192 well i guess you have a point, but the 3.0 premium i have on order right now was 56k since i got it for sticker price, the anniversary edition starts at 74k if i remember correctly. Either way, his point was its a slightly more affordable option for a daily driver in the winter thats a rwd sports car compared to the M series for most people… the C7 is, in my opinion, just on the cusp of not that affordable compared to the MKV supra however it is a little cheaper than an M series.
@@blaze376192 also i have not sat in a c7 personally and it may just be more comfortable than the supra in which case that would be a good counter to what he said, but the price is a decent amount higher than the supra based off of what ive seen for sticker price on the C7’s
RWD MUST have winter tire or you fk on highway. If you’re light on the pedal you’ll 100% be fine. I read about all of what you mentioned too about what people say but definitely not true unless you like to speed and reckless
No it's not true. No tire is gonna get you out of a snow if the snow is higher than the car height. The car is simply too low to the ground. It's barely over 5" high off the ground. I've gotten stuck in my past Prius C with Michelin Ice X. You don't need snow tire as long as it's not summer tires to make it through winter if it doesn't snow alot or your city plows really fast. I have Continental DWS Plus for winter and it's fine as long as it's not snowing hard.
Hey Justin, glad to see you driving this supra! I'm from markham ontario and I actually think I saw your car around. Glad you're driving this in the winter too! Which shop did you get your rims and tires from? I just bought my 2021 gr supra few days ago!
Hey! Thats awesome I’m in Markham as well! I went to T1 Motorsports they have a really good selection! And they know what there doing. Hopefully will catch you on the road!
Thanks - picked up a 2020 and from Toronto too. Glad it'll be OK in the winter lol!
I just bought a white 3.0 yesterday. I plan to daily it even through the winter. So this is very useful information to know.

I'm also curious about the salt in the snow. Has it been doin alright?
Funny i'm actually from Toronto myself (Etobicoke) and buying a 2023 GR Supra really soon. Glad I found your video homie.

That blue looks really nice. I was leaning towards red, but I'm starting to think the blue is better.
MiYoung is head over heels....must be the Justin Supra drip....hahaha I can't, simply out of my league 👏👏👏

I love the Michelin cross climate 2's. They are amazing tires!
Appreciate it! Planning to switch from wrx to the new Z and your video assured me rwd gonna do fine here in Toronto!
100%
So crazy cuz im just trading my wrx in too. Picking up my 2021 on tuesday. So winter time supra’s good?
What year was your WRX & did you pick the new Z finally?
@@Ibbyreviews why’s everyone selling off their WRX? Aren’t they like the next enthusiast cars for auto guys living in the great north?

How do you think this compares to the GR86? I drive my 86 in the snow but I’ve been thinking about getting a supra

Hey man.. you don’t slide or you just balance the power?
what are the exact specs of these tires. size/brand
I just put Nexens on my big turbo A90 and they hook really good.
Yes Sir!

How did you manage in the snowstorm we got last week?
That’s the exact question I’d like him to answer. That day and the day after were bloody
NYAAAAAAAA EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ?!?!?!
No I learned the hard way lol
Wouldnt the m2 be a better option for daily driving?
