Lol the blackout is what Akuma stands out from others. It literally has the opposite effect by showing what happened make you go meh is that what's taking half my health bar? the same punch & kick he does all the time + visual effects?? The blackout makes it more badass due to wtf Akuma did that instantly KO'd me.
It looked cool in SF5 how it showed him pop in and out of the darkness with attacks.
