I noticed you sprayed the back of the canvas. No gesso on the front side? Do you paint on unprimed canvas? Two more questions if I may. Your blending brush is it a firm hair brush or very soft (I'm assuming you brush off the paint you just blended to minimize the build up)? Last, do you varnish your paintings or leave them alone. Nice work by the way.

In other videos he answers comments about this. I always read through them. He uses Liquitex Matt Medium. Sometimes he paints the medium on the canvas before he applies paint. He also dabs medium on the brush along with the paint. We only see the two brushes but he said he may use up to four or so sets of the same brushes. The brush on the left is dry and he uses it to blend since he’s ambidextrous. He sells the brushes on his website. Hope this helps.
He also uses gel medium for texture sometimes.
