The colour wash variations are so enjoyable to experience after learning your technique with matt medium. Another inspirational demo Michael. Anyone who loves this should invest in Michaels DVDs also. Thank you.
I like how u work it over and over. So many decisions, it’s like you’re creating a universe. I find myself getting nervous when you add changes and color over the pretty colors. But it always works out nicely. I’m amazed and inspired! Thinking about getting your DVDS. Happy New Year… ~”)
Merci de montrer votre technique, ça peut inspirer sans copier bien sûr. Vous êtes très doué!!! Et surtout sur l'apprentissage de l'ombre et la lumière!!
Greetings from Western Australia 🤗 must say you keep us guessing Michael. Just when I think "well that looks good" you dive in and change it. You are never in the same place for what seems like seconds. Do you go with the flow or do you have a plan before you start? Your 3D effects are outstanding...merry Christmas to you and yours 🎅🎅
I noticed you sprayed the back of the canvas. No gesso on the front side? Do you paint on unprimed canvas? Two more questions if I may. Your blending brush is it a firm hair brush or very soft (I'm assuming you brush off the paint you just blended to minimize the build up)? Last, do you varnish your paintings or leave them alone. Nice work by the way.
I wrote him a letter asking him to share how he can blend and keep his acrylics wet. He didn't respond. Good luck! if you find out will you let me know?
In other videos he answers comments about this. I always read through them. He uses Liquitex Matt Medium. Sometimes he paints the medium on the canvas before he applies paint. He also dabs medium on the brush along with the paint. We only see the two brushes but he said he may use up to four or so sets of the same brushes. The brush on the left is dry and he uses it to blend since he’s ambidextrous. He sells the brushes on his website. Hope this helps. He also uses gel medium for texture sometimes.
¡Fantástico! Me gusta muchísimo. Una pregunta importante ¿El líquido o pasta blanca que utiliza que es exactamente? Yo pinto al óleo y esto es acrílico. Una última pregunta: ¿Se puede conseguir alguna cosa similar con óleo?
I admire so much your paintings . Do you use dry brushing when you blend some of the colors ? I know that I used that technique when doing ceramics . THANKYOU for your beautiful work .
Might i ask please, what is that exquisite brush you use to sign your name? It writes so perfectly, almost like a quality fountain pen. Thanks in advance Mix, Tibby x
Just read all the comments and the last couple answered my questions abut the spraying on the back side and the gesso, even my question regarding brushes. I just bought the ones you recommended to try out. So I would like to know about varnish. Do you varnish your work and if so what do you use?
another gorgeous color explosion. Would like to have your blending skills. Question: What kind of brush/pencil is it you use for your signature on the painting?
Hi Michael, I have been trying to find the brushes you mentioned. May I know the brand of brushes please? Thanks so much for all you do! I have learned so much from you!
@@lcsighteken2248 he's definitely using acrylics as you can see the tubs in his video. I have the same ones. He must use additives/ mediums like retarder.
sometimes pushing on the canvas makes it sag so when you brush the stretcher strips leave marks on the front. The soft canvas also makes the blending a bit more difficult.
I'm confused as to how you keep your wet on dry painting looking like wet on wet. I don't understand how to keep the wet quality of acrylics consistent throughout a single, larger, work. Maybe you go over this in your instructional vids.
I use a lot of medium! As long as you keep adding it will stay wet but it also thins and becomes transparent so you need to take this into consideration.
when you push on a big canvas after a while it starts to sag, I use cotton canvas so when I see it start to get loose I spray the back and within seconds it shrinks and tightens up.

You are wonderful to watch. I am often in the hospital and watching you paint is comforting. Thx
your work is amazing. I have learned so much just watching your demos. words are not needed.
Outstanding 🌈 ❤
I like how you are forcing the painting to pop out with some highlited edges.
The amount of different colors is just perfect.

I wrote him a letter asking him to share how he can blend and keep his acrylics wet. He didn't respond. Good luck! if you find out will you let me know?
He sprays the back of the canvas with water in this video.
I would like to know the same, I sent him a message on Instagram.and no answer.
In other videos he answers comments about this. I always read through them. He uses Liquitex Matt Medium. Sometimes he paints the medium on the canvas before he applies paint. I personally paint on top of MDF so I cant add water to the back of the canvas, my way of mixing is just working as fuck hahhaha
Fantastic!!!!!
Fascinante.soy seguidora de su Art. Felicidades.

¡Fantástico! Me gusta muchísimo.
love it. really well done. ☺
Espectaculares tus cuadros. Hola, me gustaría saber si pintas con acrílicos o con óleo. Gracias
Esto se nota que es acrilico
awesome. keep em coming mate!
Beautiful!
Hi, amazing and stunning work. Great use of acrylic paint. How many layers of gesso do you lay down? It's so slick and smooth. 😀
I like it at 24.29 ,after that it starts to be less spontaneous
me encanta desde las islas canarias.
I admire so much your paintings . Do you use dry brushing when you blend some of the colors ? I know that I used that technique when doing ceramics . THANKYOU for your beautiful work .

wow...I am amazed
I love your work. In addition to white paint, what other white substance you are using to give shading effects?
Wow Thank You for the Color List !!! very useful I Appreciate it so Much
Mr. Lang, how many hours have you been worked on this picture?
HELLO, I LOVE YOUR WORK AND I THINK WITH FABULOUS would like to ask MIXING PAINTS to join so perfectly?THANK YOU!
Very beautiful! Could you Say me what do you use for a pensil for your signature? 😊
Might i ask please, what is that exquisite brush you use to sign your name? It writes so perfectly, almost like a quality fountain pen. Thanks in advance Mix, Tibby x
this is a Chinese calligraphy brush, takes a little practice but lots of fun!
Michael, have you tried painting on wood panels? also what kind of paint do you use. thanks Your work is awesome.
Fantastico....yo quiero aprender
que tintas são essas que você usa nas telas, quero comprar elas aqui no Brasil
Hello 👋
Been watching your vids for a while thank you for sharing your gift.
My question is why do you spray water on the back of your canvas?
It looks like you are using very little paint, but it is really spreading far...how do you do that? Are you using a medium?
Liquitex matte medium
Just read all the comments and the last couple answered my questions abut the spraying on the back side and the gesso, even my question regarding brushes. I just bought the ones you recommended to try out. So I would like to know about varnish. Do you varnish your work and if so what do you use?
como fico feliz em ver suas pinturas tenho tentado a pintar mas so acerto com tinta a oleo.
another gorgeous color explosion. Would like to have your blending skills. Question: What kind of brush/pencil is it you use for your signature on the painting?
its a chinese calligraphy brush!
Awesome! I love this. Do you mix your paint with your medium before you start painting? Or are you using straight acrylic paint with no mixing?
actually a little of both ! I also do a lot of mixing right on the canvas.Glad you like!
Hi Michael, I have been trying to find the brushes you mentioned. May I know the brand of brushes please? Thanks so much for all you do! I have learned so much from you!
amazing
Another great piece, but I notice you dont paint the sides of the canvas. Curious how do you finish your pieces. .......frame or paint?
What a stunning painting Michael. Would it be possible to find out what colours you use in this piece?
Eileen Shephard I
How much cost these art sir??
مبدع
which kinde of colur ?
Una hermosura
What are the names of the brushes you use? I am having trouble with blending and finding the right brush. Many thanks!
Do you work in oils Michael your paints flow/blend so smoothly and your pallet neever seems to dry out? Excellent!! Thank you
My guess would be oil. I don't think acrylics blend so easily or stay wet for that length of time unless they are mixed with acrylic medium.
@@lcsighteken2248 he's definitely using acrylics as you can see the tubs in his video. I have the same ones.
He must use additives/ mediums like retarder.
Super
Wonderful as always. Thanks for sharing. P E A C E :-)
What brand of paint do you use? I am a huge fan of yours.
Hi. Is that water you spray on the back of the canvas or is it some type of canvas tightener?
Just water, since the canvas is cotton it will quickly tighten up and eliminate the sagging and stretcher bar marks on the front.
+Michael Lang (Mix) thank you :)
this is amazing👍 can u please tell which colors nd which type of canvas u have used??
Hi, Glad you like! I just put a colors list on the video at 1:30 , canvas is cotton with gesso
hi Michael, I don't see the color list... did you add it?
when i opened this video in my cellphone it didn't show me the list but when i opened it in my laptop it did
👏👏👏👏👏
Are you using acrylics or oils? What form of or body weight? Love your style!!!
ThanX much0
Aclyrics paint
awesome
What kind of medium do you use? I usually use oil paints and I'm just getting into acrylics.
matte medium for acrylics
could I please ask what and why you are spraying the underneath of the canvas please? I want to learn as much as I can
to keep it moist so the paint will flows well and it will be easier to make corrections
How much these paintings go for?
Hi, why do you wet the canvas on the backside?
sometimes pushing on the canvas makes it sag so when you brush the stretcher strips leave marks on the front. The soft canvas also makes the blending a bit more difficult.
Could you tell us what those brushes are you use?
They look like Filbert
Love this! Who makes the paint pen you signed your name with?
Its a chinese calligraphy brush, takes a little practice but so fun to use!
Thanks for the quick response. I'm new to your channel and I am loving everything that you create. I'm so inspired!
What are you using on your brush to correct your errors?
Beautiful
Beautiful
He used a medium called retardator
I'm confused as to how you keep your wet on dry painting looking like wet on wet. I don't understand how to keep the wet quality of acrylics consistent throughout a single, larger, work. Maybe you go over this in your instructional vids.
Spray water on the back of the canvas and use a retarded medium :)
since the canvas is cotton it will quickly tighten up and eliminate the sagging and stretcher bar marks on the front.
🌎👍
is it oil or acrylic paintings?
acrylic
this one is acrylic paint!
Hi, how do you keep the acrylic so fluid for so long, mine seem to start drying and becoming sticky very soon
I use a lot of medium! As long as you keep adding it will stay wet but it also thins and becomes transparent so you need to take this into consideration.
thx, great to watch you working :D
You spray the back of the canvas? Why is that?
when you push on a big canvas after a while it starts to sag, I use cotton canvas so when I see it start to get loose I spray the back and within seconds it shrinks and tightens up.
Thanks Michael. Love your work by the way.
Its only water you spray on the back?
What brush are you using for your signature?
Chinese calligraphy brush!
Très bien ?
Me gusta tus pinturas ere único me gustaría ser tu alumna
It's not art, it's only decoration.
Only basic tricks, no inspiration, no vision...it's just a colored rectangle to hang on a wall
So what in your opinion is art?
Make me laugh..idi0t rassta baboul..
