The husband would claim her as a dependent with the IRS. The IRS would be knocking on his door about the $500,000 not claimed. Her income would have to be disclosed during discovery in divorce court. Leavening out $500,000 might make the judge made.
This came up as something I have not watched as I always give a thumbs up so I know I have watched it before watching the video, started watching it and remembered the story as listening to it before

Heard of a woman was in a coma for several years. If insurance will pay or you have the money to pay very possible. It is the insurance company who determines how long you stay and if they will no longer pay but you can afford to pay you can stay for much longer

I had no idea how much my husband earned. He was a total control freak, and gave me a household budget to feed the kids with. I did eventually get out of the marriage, after a police officer told me straight up. Your husband is the poster boy of the family annihilator, he is the type after he loses control of you in particular, will shoot you the kids and then himself. Get out of the marriage woman protect your family now. That police officer was overruled by the more senior officer that had taken my ex husbands statement. By the time he was finished with making the statement. I was going to be arrested, and taken into custody, despite the report from the officer who had taken my statement. My ex is a maser at manipulation, extremely smart, and knows how to play people easily.
If not for him that night that pleaded with the officers how inconvenient it would be to have me jailed, after all who would care for the children while he was at work.
It took me about 28 months to finally get away from him, we were about 250,000 dollars in unsecured debt, credit cards, lines of credit. Our mortgage was only 85,000 above the 250,000 so six figures of where did money go?? I still have no idea how or where he spent so much money. My regular monthly allowance was around $500 per month and I bought all groceries with that small amount.

Question. 20 year old here. I m confused:
My ex girlfriend was with me for 6 years (3 years friendship, 3 years relationship). We had more of a platonic relationship where we didn't even kiss, hugged or had sex, reason being that I come from a conservative family in India. Doing such romantic acts before marriage is considered as impure in our community. We both wanted to marry each other and that's for sure.
The thing is, we fought one time and she started hanging out with this 22 year old who in actuality was a punk, good-for-nothing loafer.
