If you got divorce papers sitting in a draw at home that should be a clue that there is an underlying willingness to leave floating around in the ether. When you're emotionally upset like she was, not thinking clearly is understandable. When I went to get child support, my ex had hired the best lawyer in town and expected me to accept $10 a week to pay the expenses to care for our baby. Then I was told I couldn't deny him visitation.
No way would I allow him to harass me like that! I was living with my parents and when he came to visit our daughter, I wasn't there. I couldn't even garnish his wages for what he owed me because he kept changing jobs.
