    Hey Erin! Your explanation of Facebook ad targeting was not only simple and interesting, but it was also informative. Your emphasis on choosing the right audience to target and the importance of a strong offer was much appreciated. I learned that when combined with powerful ad creatives and the appropriate audience characteristics, broad targeting can be an effective strategy. It's an appealing shift of perspective, especially in a society where so many people are hooked on specific niches. Keep up the great work!

    Swipe File, please! Really love your video. I'll try your advertising method later. Just curious about the budget. I have watched a lot of your videos. You have suggested that we should set $100 a day. If the budget is too low, the ad will not get full exposure to the broad audience. But in this video, you said $30 or $50 per day is fine. 1 Ad campaign+several broad audience+dynamic creative test(3-4 images or videos)

    Hi aaron- If your brand is getting around 60-70% of its sales from Females, do you suggest we just focus/target women in our ideal age range (ie 20-40, 23-29 sweet spot...). And if we're spending the minimum $30/day as you recommended to start, how many days/weeks do you give a new DCT before labeling it bad and turning it off to test another? ie. if it get just handful of sales 5-10 for first two weeks? Thank you!

      If you're getting mainly females I'd set up a small campaign or just one adset depending on your budget. Since you have a really good idea on your demographics, I would have specific creatives and copy that would resonate with said demographics. Start the adset at $30 a day and let it run for 2-3 ads. That will be a long enough running window at that budget to get an idea on how the ads are performing. After that running window, turn off ads that are below your roas standard, ads at or above roas standard are now considered potential. Give your potential ads 2 more running windows before scaling.

    Great video! I have a question..I offer a variety of family gifting products, including Mother’s Day gifts, gifts for sons, moms, dads, and graduation gifts on my Shopify store. Each gift box contains a necklace and a thoughtful message card, priced between $40 to $90, including shipping. I exclusively sell to customers in the USA. Should I opt for broad targeting or interest targeting? The interests I am thinking to target include Macy’s, Nordstrom, engaged shoppers, online shopping, gifts, and flowers, all relevant to potential gift buyers.

    Is it intelligent, to use broad open targeting, on an new add account, with no previous purchases?

    • @Bitbranding
      @Bitbranding  Před 11 měsíci +7

      In general, yes. But there are some factors here. 1. Are you posting organically on social to help give the right signals to Meta? 2. Are you confident your creative will catch attention? 3. Is your website set-up for success? 4. Do you have a great offer that customers will take action on? 5. What is your budget that you can spend per day and not care about a return for 30 days. If you know the answers to those questions then you can make it work and the sooner you can go broad the sooner you can get stability in your ad account and focus on making the other areas of your business better. - Aaron

      Same Question above, Is it intelligent, to use broad open targeting, on a new add account, with no previous purchases?
      1) We have started posting on social organically and set up the website already (Will do optimization daily)
      Should we try 1 Board and 1 Interest (Which is our target audience, Men's 25-44 in CA) at the same time in 30 days with the same creative and copy for testing, like $50 per ad per day.
      Whats your opinion?

    • @Bitbranding
      @Bitbranding  Před 8 měsíci

      Every brand is different, but if you have good margins at 60% or more, then absolutely. I will spend a dollar to make 3. But the bigger question is what is my repeat customer and lifetime value of the customer like? If I can breakeven on the front-end or profit, then everything else after that through email and SMS is profit, not including word-of-mouth. In most cases a 3x return is very profitable for clothing brands. - Aaron

    Hey guys! If we got a few sales from instagram (female) do you recommend us turning off facebook/audience network in targeting and double down on instagram only DCT ads and winners? We have a low budget right now and thought solely instagram would be best for shorter sales cycle to increase cash flow... What you think? Is there an advantage in open targeting for both Facebook and Instagram on ad set level? Does it hurt our brand/ad strategy in the long term by only advertising on IG? Does it limit data gathering and how effective our ads account will be when we can afford to do both FB and IG ads? Our age range is 18-40 (24-30 is sweet spot-main buyers) so figured IG right now would work better... Thoughts?

    • @Bitbranding
      @Bitbranding  Před 11 měsíci

      Personally we have ran this test and IG costs just continue to rise because there are not as many placements. Meta's job is to place the ads where any customer may be at to make a decision to buy. For example, your customer may have seen one of your ads on FB, but then come over to IG and see a different one and then convert, but FB was what introduced the brand. I would keep it open and the platform will learn. If you have a smaller budget it can take longer, but you are training a machine to do the work for you, it just may take some time. If I was you, I would be pushing organic extremely hard while your ad budget is low so that you can still continue to give Meta data to reference back to. One of the biggest mistakes I see is not posting enough content organically and then low ad budgets, this just makes Meta work harder. What is your budget per day right now? - Aaron

      @@Bitbranding Wow didn't look at it that way, thank you. I was worried that because a handful of sales came from IG only, that we are wearing ourselves too thin by "wasting" impressions on FB... So you're saying keep doing DCTS/ads on both FB and IG for multiple touch points and trust fb to find the hottest buyers? And is this strategy still true even if (as of now) we know our buyer demo is younger (21-35)-- thought being more younger demos are active on IG?? It felt like spending on FB was a waste... Spend right now (as we get our feet wet is $10-15/day...) Is that too low and how long (days/weeks) would you give that new DCT to make a sale before turning it off? Thanks!!!
