I am from Germany and I think it’s so weird that she’s really famous everywhere but not in Germany where she comes from ...
I am a fan of her music but she is not really famous anywhere except for a very small niche of gay men and trans women.

she talked about this in interviews before, she tried to get into the music industry in germany but nobody would sign her because her bubbly american-style synthpop wouldn't work in german audiences so she moved to LA and slept on couches for a few years so she could pursue her dreams

She's so incredibly well spoken. If she didn't mention it and you didn't know it, you'd never guess that she's actually a born and raised German. Her English is absolutely flawless, she sounds very intelligent and eloquent, and she barely even has an accent. She's incredible.
I agree, though she does have what appears to be a slight British accent but likely cause Europeans learn English in the British dialect
