Incredible that one of the great rock guitarists of the 80s had to take a clerical filing job 17 years later, for the sake of his family. He is such a good man.
Don Dixon says that he asked for too much money and Nirvana passed and used only the engineer as producer. "I got called to do that Nirvana record [Nevermind]. Went out to spend some time with them before ”[Smells Like] Teen Spirit.” They were playing some version of it, but it didn’t have any real words yet. That was ’91. We actually worked out a deal, but they ultimately thought I wanted too much money ... Butch Vig was going to engineer, I was going to produce, but they came to their senses and didn’t give me all that money I was asking for. Butch ended up making the record and did a great job ... It only increased my respect for them that they didn’t want to waste money, because they didn’t need me. They really didn’t." I highly recommend Mitch and Don's stuff--solo, Tommy Keene, The Connells, Game Theory, etc.

Miss Pat and The Smithereens. Doesn't Jim look a little like Kevin Spacey?
Little bit, yeah. Thanks for watching! 🙏
Jim looks better but yeah!
He should be glad he had that banker job.
Sounded like he was very grateful to have that gig. Especially with health insurance for his kids
Why u talking like that?
