Well cmon... most seasoned college players who are top round 1 draft picks are not ready to "smoke players" in the league and need time to get into rhythm of things... Anyway; think Bronny is going to surprise alot of haters & doubters. He just needs time like most rookiers. IMO; think by year 2 or 3... Bronny will be a productive and contributing NBA player... I really do. Kid is VERY coachable, humble, and grounded... another thing Nepotism happens in EVERY career field... and if anyone deserves nepotism its Lebron James - a guy who has genuinely been one of the best role model athletes of this generation & has been drama free his entire career off the court.... You dont see people so critical of other nepo baies like folks have been on Bronny (such as kids in the entertainment industries)... and like most of them are undeserving spoiled, entitled brats... Which on the flip-side; everyone must admit - that is seriously the opposite of Lebron's son(s). They may be spoiled. But they are respectful, hardworking, and humble.

From a marketing aspect to get people to watch, I can understand that. The problem I see is that if there is enough backlash it could create a negative team image and hostility bc it robbed a spot for a player who could benefit the team. On this particular contract, I don’t think the juice was worth the squeeze. With that said, I think Lebron leveraged his own contract to make it happen.

I think everyone is missing the point. It’s not about Bronny. It’s about business and the Lakers owners. The NBA and the Lakers allowed this to happen because they would generate revenue from the first NBA father-and-son duo. Why should the NBA pass up on this opportunity? It will cause higher ratings and generate more revenue from merch, advertisements, etc, which also contribute to players having the ability to receive these max contracts. If you were an NBA owner, would you let your cash cow, who’s at the tail-end of his career, leave and go to another team? The NBA does well when the Celtics and Lakers do well or have drama to sell.
