Is the phone charge ability really functional because the sanitizing only takes 10 minutes and phones need longer than that to fully charge. Also, when I completed the 10 minute cycle on my phone, I removed it and of course closed the door and then realized the light went on again with a 10 minute cycle even though nothing was in it. Seems unnecessary.
You have it on automatic mode which turns the unit on whenever the door is closed. Hold down the power icon button for a few seconds to switch it to manual mode. Then the unit only turns on when you press the power button.
The charging ability allows the sanitizer to be efficient and much more convenient while being sanitized. In other words, those 10 minutes could mean valuable time, especially for a low percentage battery life. If you were charging your device before sanitizing, it's convenient to continue charging your device while sanitizing. It's especially efficient if the battery has 10 minutes left to charge to 100% battery life because you can sanitize the device for those 10 minutes and still have it charging inside to reach 100%. It's basically a really convenient feature whatever the circumstance because the sanitizer is much more efficient with the charging feature.
So I just got one of these. My lightning bolt light never comes on. Ever. But the charging ports inside work to charge my phone. So there's power going to the device. But does it not work if the light in the front never turns on?

Mine broke amd CS did nothing to help. Red light. I used it once a for 2 weeks. Cellphones and remonted only.all together
