I fancy a surf skate but I have various longboards and most of them would carve those cones up easy at that distance and at speed. With respect, a better set up and sorry to say, better skate technique would make this comparison more relevant. Sorry, respect and love.
Yeah I’m gonna have to agree with old boy a retrospec is great for a beginner board due to price but a landyachtz, loaded, a Santa cruz, and fucking other brands like that would have lapped them cones up. A surf skate definitely has the maneuverability but with loose trucks(and soft bushings) on a nice longboard can definitely carve hard
You probably could but you’d lose some pumping ability due to the longer wheelbase. If you want to save a bit of $ you can get a Waterborne adapter for your existing longboard.
I put my waterborne surf adaptor on that same longboard and it rocks.

Longboard is so stable these surfboards are too fast and just not for that amazing relaxed cruising and it's never boring!!! 🙏💯🔥

I use a Surfeeling “The Outline” 31” board. Not affiliated with the brand but I’d give them a look if you want something a little different.
