At the end of the game your supposed to board a ship if you loose and intercept it if you win. There are no respawns after the “Victory/Defeat” pop up so you have to make the life count. In my opinion I liked it because if you lost, you still have a chance to get on the drop ship with your friends and it made loosing feel way better than just being sent instantly to the menu
In fact, if you manage to extract with the dropship during the epilogue, the match will not count as a loss on your profile record, so get to that dropship!!
If you're new, prioritize hunting grunts. Kill five in one life, and you can make up for the points an enemy pilot gets for killing you. It's a good way to help your team while you're still learning the game.

You should probably get the "northstar client" for titanfall, its basically just makes getting into games easier and adds custom game modes. You can also port models to titanfall with it, even apex skins.
ngl the official servers are much more newb friendly....there are no shortages of veteran tryhards in northstar and depending where you are connecting from....the official servers might be more stable
Northstar unlocks all weapon mods and holds your loadouts and generation seperate from the base game. So progression being gone in Northstar doesn't effect the unmodded experience if you switch between having it on for instant games, and off for official progression like I do. Give Northstar a try, they have custom servers, custom game modes, and some people have servers set up for new players to get more acquainted with the game before fighting all the veterans like me :)
My main tip if you’re coming from apex, it’s less about aim and more about movement, try using many walls as possible to wallrun and landing on slide instead of standing up position, keeping speed and staying off the ground is key to fight opponents and even titans as your mobility wallrunning is higher than the titans gyroscope and speed
At the end of match, the losing team has a chance to board the escape ship. If they make it out, they get bonus points. Look for the ship to either board it, if on losing team. Or destroy the ship if on the winning team.
Apex is a battle royal, you win when all the enemies are dead. Titanfall is based on a point system where enemies are still around once you win. The epilogue with the enemies trying to escape is a great ending to a match and makes sense.
Grapple is a crutch until you learn movement. You need to learn to maintain momentum before you play grapple. I didn't touch grapple until I learned b-hop,slide hop, airstrafe, and no lurch strafe. Not saying you can't use it but ultimately it will hurt your movement.
I noticed you using phase throughout the video, so I thought I would show you my personal phase loadout. Fast regen, low profile late hit (personal favorite execution, but all other executions work) fire star, car smg with tactikill and gunrunner, re-45 auto with gunrunner and tactikill, and any anti titan weapon works (Though archer and beam probably work best). Enjoy!
I used to play titanfall2 a bunch back in middle school. Wasn't particularly good at it, but I loved that progress was always being made, even if you lost. You just made progress a bit faster if you won.
the reason you cant steal titans is because there is like a "titan, pilot bond" as in a titan will only allow their pilot to take controls because of like a neural link type thing
Quick tip for faster matchmaking: you can filter the game modes in the game selection screen. If you don’t, then the game will cycle through all of the gamemodes, searching for each one. The problem with this is the fact that the only game mode anyone plays is attrition. So when the game doesn’t find a game of attrition in like 10 seconds, then it will spend time searching for all of the other gamemodes, and it wont find any games of those gamemodes, because nobody plays those gamemodes.
personally getting back into titanfall 2 with the recent steam sale ive had no issues with que times and infact have not yet had one que time go for longer than 60 seconds at all which was a big surprise cuz i remember going on it on my old ps4 once like a few months back and it was over a five minute que.
“That’s even worse than Wraith’s somehow.” He says in a game where the time to kill is substantially faster and disrupting a fight for three seconds is a chance to reload and get the advantage over the enemy player.
A lot of new players don't realize that though. Until you are proficient at moving, most abilities seem a lot weaker. However when you can traverse the entire map in the span of 5 to 10 seconds, being in phase for 3 secs substantially increases the odds of survival/winning a fight.

It slows you down a lot and the most guns have a fairly tight hipfire and on the SMGs your hipfire is basically the same as your aiming. If you gotta ADS make sure you're either behind cover, or in a slide/wallride At the end of the game theres a epilogue phase where respawns are disabled and the losing team can gain extra points by going to an Evac point on the map. The winning team can either kill all the enemies, or destroy the shuttle in time to disable this but if you do evac you get close to the same amount of commendations as you do for winning Generally just get really good at the movement over getting good with shooting. Apex is a good starting point to get used to it but it really just needs a lot of practice to get the game sense since theres way more movement options than you're probably used to
The reason Davis and Droz are so hard pressed about defending the harvester, is because it takes only a couple minutes for it to be destroyed. Especially nuke titans. I enjoy killing them the most.
Prob started with the wrong Titan: try Ion or Tone or even Legion to start with. Also, if you run the Grapple with the silent footsteps, you can rodeo on top of an enemy Titan silently, then pull their battery and either give it to a team mate, or call your own titan and you have a battery of your own. The anti-titan weps are pretty good too... I prefer the sniper shot one bc it just hits and hits hard with no warning to the enemy. I am just so happy to see it back up and running again... and what's more is its beating Battlefield 2042 on Steam charts... by almost double!
Aight so ima do a quick rundown for you Warning, info dump (from what i understand) There are 3 subdivisions of titans in a way, heavy, medium, and light. Heavy ones like Legion and Scorch have high health but less effective weapons, medium ones like Ion and Monarch have less health but their abilities are more useful for offense, and light titans have basically no health but good fricking guns, like the northstar you used first had low health, but a full charge of its railgun is extremely powerful against titans. As for movement, grapple and stim pilot get you around fast and make you harder to hit, as well as sliding, wallrunning, and jumping to maintain momentum and speed. Epilogue, at the end of the match, is when respawns are disabled and you are trying to escape or kill whos escaping. The losing team tries to get to a ship, and you try to get on it to not count that round as a loss, or you try to kill the pilots and the ship. Hope this helped, please note that this is likely patchy and from when i played titanfall a while ago, i dont know what might have changed
Yeah I've been watching lil videos and stuff, just learning about the game and I think everything you've said is accurate. Personally I've been using the Monarch because it's simple and aiming is the only thing I'm remotely good at in this game lol. But yeah I understand the epilogue now, I actually think it's really cool it just threw me for a loop initially. What made you stop playing btw?
@@haku_haku_haku PvP was locked on playstation systems with a playstation subscription and i already beat the campaign, i was also unable to use the northstar client due to being on console, and if you dont know anything about why it died for a bit, that would lead to constant DDoS attacks and long wait times for normal titanfall. Just got it on PC though, so maybe ill see ya on the battlefield pilot.
"If you are the guy in the mec you are having fun, if you are not the guy in the mec, it's not so good." It does seem like it at first when you play. But it can be frustrating being in a titan as well. Pilots have much more mobility and potential to hide. A good pilot can annoy a titan to death. Its not so fun getting rockets and lasers in youe face alm the time and you don't even know where. The power dynamic of the pilot and the titan is surprisingly balanced, but it takes experience to see that, because the pilot is the most difficult to master, i.e the movement and map awarness of enemy titans
5:07 you gotta remember titanfall is WAYYYY faster paced than apex, so that can get you completely on the other side of the map, and your health starts to come back
The phase shift isnt as good as wraith because well, Movement... and lorewise phase shift and stims were still in the experimental phase im pretty sure wraith wasn't abducted at the time soo yeah
I always love watching seasoned Apex players getting smacked when playing titanfall the first time and realizing they have to completely change their play style to keep up with everything.
If it helps with multiplayer at all movement is king. Pro players aim down sights... sometimes. Most of the time everything is high octane flick reactions and attempts at maintaining momentum
If you are not the guy in the mechs you wall run everywhere, use speed, pull out anti-titan weapons. You are not useless, in fact you are very deadly still
little tip, movements everything in this game, more so than apex, so that in turn changes gunplay. You get the movement and spacial awareness down then you'll be gold, since in this game mechanics wise, is harder than apex.
i think i played multiplayer and did okay when i started out, but because I played the campaign first I had a little knowledge on how the titans and movement and all that worked. I played on easy because I was a little dude, but still it felt satisfying knowing at least SOME of my campaign experience easily transferred to multiplayer, wallrunning, sliding, titan classes, almost dying to kane but absolutely fucking dunking on viper(I was on easy I know it sounds dumb), and then after plqying multiplayer I started knowing advanced mechanics(Slide hopping, grapple slingshot, fragboosting, wall tapping, rodeoing, hacking spectres, different tacticals other than pulse blade or cloak. It felt nice, like starting out a humble, expendable grunt and the first time I regenerated I FELT like a Veteran pilot. Then I got my shit rocked by a CAR using grapple main using an Archer and dropping a fuckin monarch on my head lol
yeah the movement in movement shooter comes way ahead of the shooting. aiming down sight and holding crones is not gunna cut it in this game where people can launch themselves across the map id say ads is only really necessary when someone is medium to long range. good vid tho
some tips u should know try to stay in the air or wallrunning as much as u can unless u want to get instantly killed by someone else try to hipfire more as most guns have good hipfire and it doesnt slow you down if u go on an enemy titan u can take a battery from it which will deal a large amount of damage to it and allow you to heal either your or a friendly titan. though if u do rodeo an enemy titan, they can put out electric smoke (which u get at around 20? percent of your core) which can easily kill you if you dont pay attention dont use titans like northstar or scorch when u start as they can be quite annoying to use if u havent learnt the game that well dont shoot at ions vortex shield it is a terrible idea titans have weakpoints which are shown as glowing red spots on them. Though if its a scorch they most likely wont have them due to them using tempered plating as their scorch kit if you are inside of your titan and you hear the sound of someone grappling they might be trying to rodeo you so you look over to where you heard the sound and see if you can kill them if u see a tone just stay away from it because they will do anything they can to annoy you you can still be shot while doing a pilot execution but you cant be damged while terminating a titan for some reason during the epilouge, if you have your titan, USE IT as it will allow you to be a bit safer when going to the dropship to either board it or destroy it. Also, if you have to board the dropship, you can just wait around until its a couple seconds away from getting into the map then run to the evac point and if it is already there you can manually eject under it to send you straight into it

i love how bros in a lobby with a g100
This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen, you should make more Titanfall 2 content
Aight so ima do a quick rundown for you
Warning, info dump (from what i understand)
There are 3 subdivisions of titans in a way, heavy, medium, and light.
I suggest playing frontier defense to get a better feel for each titan
THE SERVERS ARE WAY MORE LIT, it hasn't once said 5 minute wait time since I downloaded this week but I have waited around 2- 5 minutes to find a game
Well this was posted 2 months ago before the recent update
If your good at the game if you’re in the mech you’re having fun if you’re not you’re having fun
It is no longer hard to find games
20k players
Now I know who's not dropping the titan in frontier defense lately 😂
Yo the Respawn Janitor just updated the game, everyones on it. Got double the player count of bf2042 rn
the servers got fixed and some ltm`s got added a few days ago after years
For some reason it says it over but isn't over lmao it's a evacuation process ugh
Warning Offensive:
Titanfall 2 is better apex sweats
W take
Man i dont think you added a clip of you using your secondary lol, that's your titan damaging weapon
If it helps with multiplayer at all movement is king. Pro players aim down sights... sometimes. Most of the time everything is high octane flick reactions and attempts at maintaining momentum
The fact that the Viper trailer failed so hard he thought he could steal a Titan
If you are not the guy in the mechs you wall run everywhere, use speed, pull out anti-titan weapons. You are not useless, in fact you are very deadly still
Bro got smideon as his first enconter X)
as a Northstar main I am in agony rn
Poor guy unloaded a mag into the vortex sheild
little tip, movements everything in this game, more so than apex, so that in turn changes gunplay.
Ay look fresh meat I may hope on Titanfall 2 after a 10 year break
1st match in the video and you were matched against a G100.
holy shit.
yeah the movement in movement shooter comes way ahead of the shooting. aiming down sight and holding crones is not gunna cut it in this game where people can launch themselves across the map id say ads is only really necessary when someone is medium to long range. good vid tho
some tips u should know
try to stay in the air or wallrunning as much as u can unless u want to get instantly killed by someone else
try to hipfire more as most guns have good hipfire and it doesnt slow you down
if u go on an enemy titan u can take a battery from it which will deal a large amount of damage to it and allow you to heal either your or a friendly titan. though if u do rodeo an enemy titan, they can put out electric smoke (which u get at around 20? percent of your core) which can easily kill you if you dont pay attention
dont use titans like northstar or scorch when u start as they can be quite annoying to use if u havent learnt the game that well
dont shoot at ions vortex shield it is a terrible idea
titans have weakpoints which are shown as glowing red spots on them. Though if its a scorch they most likely wont have them due to them using tempered plating as their scorch kit
if you are inside of your titan and you hear the sound of someone grappling they might be trying to rodeo you so you look over to where you heard the sound and see if you can kill them
if u see a tone just stay away from it because they will do anything they can to annoy you
you can still be shot while doing a pilot execution but you cant be damged while terminating a titan for some reason
during the epilouge, if you have your titan, USE IT as it will allow you to be a bit safer when going to the dropship to either board it or destroy it. Also, if you have to board the dropship, you can just wait around until its a couple seconds away from getting into the map then run to the evac point and if it is already there you can manually eject under it to send you straight into it
How the server players for now?
The queue issue has been fixed
Northstar? As your first Titan? I reccomend you practice with her and learn how to manage your health and thrusters. Also quick bit of advice never use your flightcore in a tight space or agasint a single titan unless your doomed.
Does... He forget that he has an anti-titan weapon slot? Also he shoulda done the campaign to get his bearings lol
he actually did... just more of clips and moments in the campaign ngl though would love to help them through titanfall
