Thank you for the comparison! By the way, Lo Scarabeo recently released a Minchiate Fiorentine in its "Anima Antiqua" line.

Thank you for comparing both decks. I prefer The Minchiate Tarot by Da Brigh, the colours are more vibrant, the zodiac cards are unusual and the I 💕 the minor arcana with the key words. Thanks again for the flip through of these unique tarot decks, as always La Forza dei Visconti. 👍🃏🤗

Thank you so much! Your flip-throughs have really helped me. Here, I’ve been on the fence about the Da Brigh, and your video made me realize it’s a hard, emphatic “no” on the Da Brigh. The meanings on the suit cards are especially off-putting-some taken from Etteilla, several taken (anachronistically) from Smith-Waite, some just plain random. The Da Brigh’s making II into “The High Priestess” just takes over the fussy Smith-Waite identification of the card. In the traditional Marseille, II is “The Popess.” By making all the early cards aristocrats, the Minchiate sidestepped worries about the blasphemy of including “The Pope” and particularly “The Popess.” “The Tower” is usually “La Maison Dieu” in the Marseille-“ The House [of] God”- presumably the tower struck by God’s wrath. Sometimes it was also called “La Maison du Diable” or “La Casa del Diavolo”- “The Devil’s House”- which could suggest the woman is trying to flee the hellfire while another damned soul or devil drags her back in. Hope this is useful and sorry for the long comment! 😊 Brian Williams’s _The Minchiate Tarot_ (Destiny Press, 1999) is still the best guide to the Minchiate. Love your content-so much food for thought!

I love Il Meneghello tarot decks but I don't own as many as I would like to because they tend to be on the pricey side.
