    My elantra 1.6 factory compressor dosent have this valve and comes with single pin wiring. During compressor replacement can i use this type how to wire it?

    My tiguan 2018 a/c clutchless compressor stop working,i hope only that solenoid is faulty

    Testing that is a total waste of time. Usually 9 times out of ten when it's bad the compressor is as well. I thought I'd get lucky earlier on my wife's Sorento but I was wrong. Now I'm buying a compressor.

    It's too bad those valves are designed to be normally open. It means that when the valve or solenoid fails, the compressor fails entirely. If it was a normally closed valve, it would roll back to behavior more like old style compressors, always working at full displacement, controlled by the clutch pulley. I wonder why they did that....
