When you consider Rangers paid less than 12 million and that team paid a quarter of a billion on transfers it really is incredible.
I am still haunted by the loss in the final especially Kent’s miss at the end of extra time 🤦🏼♂️😢 we were 2 players away from what would have been the title maybe 3 no Alfie Sakala erratic & Itten out on loan but not called back for the final when we had no strikers fit Roofe injured but played a small part but I believe he should have been risked once we went 1 up it was his cross that Kent somehow managed to hit straight at Traap 🤦🏼♂️ but the ball bounced up n hit off his shin rather than him being able to guide it with his foot he just got caught out 🤷🏼♂️ I also believe he was never the same after that miss hence the bad form then having to play Aribo up top starting Scott Wright no Hagi 🤦🏼♂️ jeeeezo everything that could have went against us that night did i truly believe we would have won with a fully fit team of starters we were on fire during that run we beat 2 better German teams than Frankfurt but hey ho just hope I’ve got enough life in me to see us win a European trophy 🏆 lastly I blame Gio for his team selection & subs Ramsey had no right to come on just to take a penalty he hadn’t earned that right & I knew when he stepped up he was going to miss he just didn’t look up for it 🤷🏼♂️
In an ideal world penalties should be scrapped for finals imho no team should win or loose a major final on penalties fair enough during qualifying but no finals I remember we beat Hibs in the cup after 3 attempts in a matter of days after 2 draws I can honestly say I’ve never been so hurt by a lost football match than this I’ve been very lucky being spoiled over the years as a Rangers & Man United supporter with plenty titles & Cup finals but this was the one that broke my heart the most & still does I had nightmares for months & couldn’t sleep overplaying Kent’s miss in my head as I lay in bed going I’ve different scenarios of what could have been but it’s done now & well done to Frankfurt their fans were amazing that night The White Wall imo they out sang our fans which came as quite a shock to me I also thought we should have played the game at the bigger stadium in Seville 🤷🏼♂️ not that it matters now Scotland play Cyprus on Friday night & if we win I think we are basically through so that’ll be a distraction from what’s happening at Ibrox atm I know it’s early days but I think Beale is out his depth at Rangers he’s not a manager imo & apart from Danilo I can’t see Dessers Lammers & Sima getting us the goals we need to win the league & now the side from the other side of the city are out of the league cup we are favourites but I’m not that optimistic I hope I’m proved wrong so just have to wait n see but imho Beale is on borrowed time pheww 🤦🏼♂️ rant over 😬 sorry bout that I do go on when I talk about that final loss to Frankfurt 😢

Commiserations mate, it was a great match, you have to admire the passion of the Rangers fans, 10 years ago they were send down to the lowest level of scottish football and were forced to make that long hard claim back to the top and finally win a scottish premier league season undefeated, to go down to the bottom of the Scottish pyramid and make it to the Europa League Final, that's amazing, you had a great run over in the bundesliga, hopefully, you'll make it back again.
