The game aired on CBC Television and Sportsnet. I recorded this on CBC Gem. The game which aired was when the Toronto Maple Leafs, at home faced against the Ottawa Senators. The Leafs won 3-2 in regular duration.
Song for opening montage was: About Damn Time from Lizzo.

Well, the current HNIC intro reminds me of the letters intro from the mid 90s where we see the letters that spell HOCKEY over videos of the players. Like each letter that spells hockey over animated footage of Leafs & Habs during faceoff is my fav part along with the old HNIC logo falling down the ice.

I love Hockey Night in Canada 🇨🇦, so much fun to watch, I have pizza and pop and Coke and Chips while watching Hockey Night in Canada 🇨🇦 because I love it that much, I watch it every weekend, even my favorite team isn't playing, I still watch it, my favorite team is the Ottawa senators but I never ever miss Hockey Night in Canada unless I am at the game

Thanks for posting this, I was searching for it after all the negative comments on Twitter. It was a pretty good intro. Don't see what all the fuss is about. Ron MacLean has been at the helm for so long on HNIC, it would be weird to see someone else hosting it. But I don't like change generally, lol.

@@davidmanful4797 just a lot of people making fun of his brief Elvis and Ali impersonations in the clip. Many think he shouldn't be hosting HNIC any longer.

I do like the fact that Ron Maclean paid tribute to Her (Late) Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I do however wish he had referred to Her Majesty as Canada's longest reigning monarch. She was Canada's monarch as much as she was Britain's.

The part where the Leafs players from 1967 should be seen on the intro to all Leafs games on Sportsnet. Like that footage seen here at 5:45 should be used in place of the first two videos of Leafs fans cheering.

Bring back Don!!! Jesus HNC hasn't been the same in 3 years... If I see some garbage host(s) this year I'm going to start streaming. NHL is is the only reason I hang on to cable. I like it live, I like the intermissions (most of the time). ARZ lets Biz, Gretzky, and Doan (?) do their thing which is awesome. CBC gets............ I dont even know. Once Don left everything has be trash ever since.
