I don't normally comment on old videos, but my wife and I were traveling across the Texas Panhandle this past weekend (Nov 12, 2023) and we stopped at the Cross on the Prairie in Groom Texas (Just east of Amarillo) . Its a huge cross, well over 100 FT tall and around it are statues of the Stations of the Cross. There is also statues of the Last Supper and Jesus and the 2 thieves on the crosses After spending about an hour there we were getting into our truck and when we started the engine this song was playing on the radio. Right in front of us was the statue of the Roman soldier hammering the nail into Jesus' wrist. This song has always moved me but the song with view we had in front of us really put things into perspective. Powerful!

I lost my youngest daughter to a terrible accident three weeks ago. A few months prior to her death she shared this song with her mother. She was moved by this song and stated this was her life story. I want to thank "Sidewalk Prophets" for writing and producing such a beautiful song. The only thing I can hold on to is that I will see my beautiful daughter again! "Chelsey Gallegos", I love you! My daughter of 5 months passed away this August. It was by far the hardest thing I've been through in my life. I was so hurt, so angry. Through a chain of events I found myself in church and after several years of being a hard headed atheist, I gave my life to God. Though I'll never see her again on this earth I know I'll get to spend an eternity with her in heaven. Cherish the memories you had with her loved one and rejoice knowing we'll see them again when our time here is up :)

I've heard this song hundreds of times. I still get chills when he says "...and then alone in the night, I still call out for You, so ashamed of my life, my life..." I was addicted to prescription pills and homeless. I cried out to Him during a shameful and desperate time in my life, and I'm eternally grateful that I did.
I was there also. Addicted. Kept calling out to him for months. Finally I'm clean and I couldn't be more blessed. More happy of gods love. Really understanding what it's like to live. Not only that, that's the second time he saved me from something like that. I won't go back again. I have a new understanding a perspective on life. Plus it's not right by God I was afraid that after a lil while if be going to hell. But he says I hold you in the palm of my hand. I will never leave you or forsake you. I fell back but he brung me back. His love passes understanding. I wish I could love like Jesus did.

Even as a believer I have battled depression i sat in my car one day many thoughts ran through my mind raging this song came on the radio my thoughts turned to God the tears began to flow as I became overwhelmed with love....oh how he loves me
I’m a 16 year old kid from south jersey. I’m a backup singer for my church’s praise band and a lead singer for my rock band T.H.E.( The House Elephants). I’ve grown up listening to both Christian and Rock music and loving both equally. After a certain point my love for Christian music kinda fell off but I still enjoyed it. About a week and a half ago, my father asked if I wanted to sing lead on something with the praise band for a live streamed service. It was myself, my father, my brother, our pianist, drummer, and one of the backup singers. I said yes but the songs I originally wanted to do we couldn’t due without the full band. So he asked me about this song and I said “sure I think I remember this song”. When I had first listened to it when I was younger I didn’t really get it till now. While listening to it it brought something out of hiding in me and I can’t stop listening to it. And I’m very much so fine with it. I guess I just found a way to relate to this song. So thank you for reopening me up to Christian music in me the way it used to be through one of my new top 3 favorites.

This is my anthem lately. Fallen away from God and I feel him there waiting patiently for me to come back to his arms. How can I be loved so much? How can God love this broken piece of human? I ran away from his safety, due to devilish nightmares. I noticed that the further away I was from him, the less they happened. Because the truth is the devil had me, he didn't need to try and taunt me anymore. I pray for the strength to get close once again to the lord.

I am 55. Grew up in the 70's 80's. Listened to all kinds of music. Then I turned County, very country. I saw about 45 country artists in concert..for real! One day (3 yrs ago) I turned my radio dial to K-Love...wow GREAT Christian music. I have never changed the dial. No matter what goes on in my life..Jesus is ALWAYS uplifting.

So many times I’ve turned away from God with a smile on my face. Now I’m in tears, hurt and lonely because of it. Sin, guilt and shame in my heart. Down on my hands and knees asking for repentance. By Gods grace I’m forgiven. I pray that God will teach me to not turn away.

And sometimes, you know, we don't even realize or recognize it. It's like...sometimes, we come inside the house from outside, thinking we're just grand, fine and dandy....not a speck of dirt on us. And then God pulls us back a few steps by the coattail and points to the muddy footprints our shoes had been leaving on the floor the whole time, without us even knowing. God is so good, He doesn't shun you for it. He doesn't yell at you. He doesn't even make you clean it up. He cleans it up for you and gives you new shoes.. so that you may be mindful of every step from then on.

I was first saved as a young boy going to church with my grandmosther. I wasn't raised in a good Christian home like so many kids are today. As I grew up in my late childhood and early teenage years I learned the not so pleasant language (if you catch my drift) and I started using it quite often. I was also exposed to alcohol throughout my childhood as my father, grandmother, and mother all drank, so the day I turned 21 I got drunk for the first time and did many times after that, but God loved me anyway and never turned his back on me. About 5 years I decided it was time to get my life in order, so I gave up the foul language and kicked alcohol out of my life for good (even though I was always able to control it and not let it control me like it had my father and grandmother) and I started going back to church and the first time I stepped into the church where I presently attend, I knew I was home and it was the right fit. I then proceeded to ask God to forgive me sitting right there in my seat. I am happy to say I am a child of God and I will never turn my back on him again. I also am so happy he allowed me to go through the trials and tribulations that he did because I came out the other side so much stronger and a much better person. Jesus said deny me in front of your friends and I will deny you in front of my father, well I am here to tell you that I am a child of God and I will not deny you in front of my friends. Just remember that no matter what battle your going through and whether your a child of God or not, HE LOVES YOU ANYWAY and there's nothing like his saving grace.

I was serving sentences in prison totaling nearly 50 years( I served 27 years total) and had absolutely nothing to look forward to at all. In 2010,I attended a seminar by Kairos international,and committed my life to Christ. I was released from Westville Correctional Facility in March of 2014 in Indiana.I attend church regularly,and talk to people about my life,and my commitment to serve the Lord. I've been free from prison for nearly 4 1/2 years now,and never looked back. My life isn't perfect,but it is a good life. I thank God for saving me when I was lost.

This song is still so relevant in my life. It amazes me the magittude of God's love for us. We go about our lives complaining, wanting and wishing for more and fail to realize Jesus gave us everything we needed. He gave it to us despite our continual betrayal and our lives of sin. Cause let's not get it twisted, we all sin. And for some the only saving grace we have is being covered by the blood which makes us rightous (and to the ones not covered by his blood, they should be seeking his blood). As he sang out at 2:34, in the song, I keep thinking about all the times I did wrong when I knew the right things to do, and when ever I did those wrong I would think God will forgive me, I am only human. My thinking was wrong. God will forgive me but each wrong was like me putting a nine through his wrist, a thron through his head, it was me crucifying him so that I could have a moment of pleasure, or live a lie, or something that is completely self serving that denies the glory of God in my life. I was that man yelling crucify him but begging to be saved. I was the rich man saying I have done all you asked but I can not give up my money. Yet even through my half felt worships, my self induced praise, Jesus still loves me. He still gave his life for me, he understood that one day I would understand his true glory, even if it's just a fraction of what that glory is. Jesus love me, and he loves you no matter what mistake, life choice you made, he loves you and want you to come to him. He is here and waiting for you. Just call on his name.

POWERFUL song! I lost my father 3 weeks ago after he fought longer than any doctors ever said he would. He had faith higher than a mountain. The only thing I have found comfort in lately are these powerful songs that give me hope that he is NOT suffering anymore in Paradise. I long for the day to come that we can spend eternity in the presence of our LORD.
