I used claws a lot when it first came out and was sad when it was sunset. It took me a while to realize why I like Piece of Mind so much and it's probably because it's a kinetic version of claws with way better stats.
And you could get 56 range with virtually 100 stability if you pair it with enhanced Perpetual and EleCap on void, not to mention the nice boost in handling. Still the best feeling 540 we've gotten.
Autumn wind is just as good, but not craftable tho
I have an autum wind with enhand perpetual and ele cap with 92 stab untill im moving at its 100.its a dream to shoot.k8nda my favorite weapon.pair it with my perp ele cap funnel web with 90 something stab
And it’s one more zoom. Bulllets seem to ghost on claws
I think Rapid Fire pulses in general suffered a bit from Range changes from last year and how you lose that multi sided function of being able to have something a bit more speedy that can also beam from a ways out if you have to slow down your play a bit. It's not to say no good Rapids exist or you should never use them, but it's just there's other things giving them competition for where they make sense. In many ways you might as well just roll around with a High Impact and play it in a similar manner at least you have more of a hedged bet, hell you probably could argue 450 ARs filling Rapid's spot as well. The stat scaling for Rapids also feels a bit awkward because sometimes there's weapons that have low numeric values but not much is changed but with Rapids, low numbers sorta do exactly what they say on the box and it's usually for the worst.

Claws of the Wolf was like one of the if not the first IB weapon I ever got. It was and probably still is my most reliable kill weapon for me. It somehow fixes my severe skill issue slightly.
I just got it for the first time this IB week, with headseeker and rampage. I do have arrowhead and ricochet, and it feels so bloody good. Idk, something about it makes me able to get kills so much easier than with any other weapon I've tried. Already have 130 kills on it.
@@UniqueAcountName It's that Claws magic I guess. Except my roll is garbage and old enough to have full auto-trigger perk. Granted that was the main reason it worked so well for me. So now I need to get a fresh one with something similar to yours.

Whenever there's a Storm's Edge being casted I like to try to be it's target, because if you predict their attack you jump and dodge them like an Elden Ring attack. Feels great

Yesterday, I tested the drops I got and confirm the same results. I am on PS4-controller so stability makes a huge difference. That said, I had the impression this pulse was performing beyond the ranges I expected. Not the GOAT pulse but interesting nonetheless. CoolGuy chose the Headseeker + Zen Moment as his preferred roll. I have not gotten that one yet. Cheers.
I have small bore/ricochet/zen and head seeker. Stability masterwork. With both enhanced zen and head seeker giving stability the thing is a beam. I actually love it but I absolutely love rapids.
Was really excited to get my hands on one since I loved the og version but it just feels sluggish and slow to me compared to other rapid fires
Grapple blink is soooo underrated, I dont see anyone using it.
Stasis elemental capacitor could be nice if you really wanted that 100 recoil. You also get strafe speed from it
I love 540 but they need bit of love to compete with 340 and lightweight.
got a darkest before with kill and heal clip. it has 78 stability and beams
In the progression of pulses it's not what you put on. If you are playing to win
bro i usually do the campaign on legend rite. decided im just gonna run it normal difficulty for other characters because man. is that time i just did not have to sit and do legend more than once. did not know u dont get the choice between exotics when u dont do legend. decided it was worth my time to try and get it through rahool……..such a glimmer sink… (this also made me realize wow legendary shards are gone gone 😭😭)
Dont forget to enhance for +2 stat bump at lvl 20
I have a zen moment + headseeker roll on claws. The vertical jump makes headseeker pop off hard.

cammy you should check out multimach for a laugh if you get one with arrowhead, extended mag, iron gaze, iron reach handling MW it comes out with the worst stats for any gun in the game. I got this roll last night and the game I played with it was probably the worst shooting experience I've ever had in D2

I hated it on controller. I usually like the fast firing but I’d take Elsie’s Rifle anytime over the claws.

It definitely feels sluggish, but the potential utility that it can give you is almost worth learning it at a base level. EC/Destab is my main perk combo, and when my opponents are in close enough proximity, i can get fun collateral kills due to Destab. I do agree that the base stats are horrendous compared to any of the other 540 pulses currently attainable.

Got a roll with headseeker rampage and it melts in 6s
my very first roll was zen headseeker ricochet smallbore stability MW and the gun still feels bad. It just has so much recoil and nothing in compensation
Is mobility worth going for over resilience for pvp Hunter??
You get your dodge back quicker with high mobility on hunter but don’t completely throw resil to the wind because you’ll leave yourself susceptible to certain things that are resilience gated

Sorry but won't let Gridskipper go.. I have a 48 range, 67 stability, 65 recoil, moving target and snapshot. 100 aim assist with a targeting mod and feels sooo good with the instant ads and fast strafe. 1v1 duels feel too easy. Also much less muzzle flash and reticle bounce... It's hard to get but gunsmith sells it and xurs engrams drop it

That roll that you're using snap with Zen, but with Rico nearly fifty range and stab. But my class item has ophidian and with snap handling doesn't matter. This thing is dirty lol. According to d2foundry zen moment only adds 5 stability... Seems like a waste of that fourth perk imo.
It’s the best perk on the gun! Imo once it kicks in you don’t flinch and it becomes a laser beam!
@@ryandavis8658 It's not bad, but perpetual motion adds 20 stability, 20 handling and 20 reload if you're moving for more than 9 seconds.
the stats is terrible, the gun look awful, but the gun feel easy to use & the sound so satisfy
I have a headseeker, zen moment roll and enhanced it ends up with 49 range, 59 stability w/ handling masterwork & the perks of zen moment. Still not amazing stats but it shreds quick

You mention importance of stability yet take snapshot over elemental capacitor? I know you mentioned handling however you can work around handling, just asking i.e. armour mods / handling MW? You mentioned running void so EC +20 stability and void Titan rally +20 stability unless I'm mistaken

Until you get flinched off target or miss part of the burst on precision hits and you're in a bit of a sketchy situation. There's more of a case for just sticking to a High Impact as things are right now. You also really need to play around and feel out recoil directions and patterns because imo I think 4 Burst Aggressives feel the most awkward with the stupid Deterministic Recoil changes and it's why I think so many people aren't super crazy about something like Belisarius or even rebooted Blast Furnace(the scope is kinda meh) because of how the recoil numbers can cause the weapon to do a lot of weird things even if you have the "right" ones.

People really sleep on poly barrel.. it reduces the recoil and bounce by a lot
It’s good but chambered compensator does the same thing and provides some recoil direction control for the cost of a small amount of handling, so it’s a better version in most cases.
I prefer Gridskipper better stats overall and easier to obtain

Another thing with the gun is even if you're grinding really efficiently for engrams, this gun seemed to just ALWAYS miss the perk combos I was looking for, irregardless of barrels or mags. Took me 40 engrams to see Repulsor/Destabilizing, with 4 separate rolls each of Pain/Destab and Repuls/KC with wacky stats.
That’s so true! I’ve farmed so many engrams, not a single Repulsor/destabilizing yet. But so many with to the pain and I think destabilizing as well! 😂
