Sean Penn was hotheaded guy but with a huge heart for humanity and very passionate of issues he believes in and acts on them, not to mention his immense talents.

They would complain about the expense of luxury items they had to buy because their parents were only covering their rent, car payment, insurance, tuition, and books.
she "forgot" to mention that the restaurant she worked for is owned by her godfather....her other "intern" job was assistant to a screenwriter....who is her godmother!

This is the most relaxed and comfortable I’ve ever seen Sean Penn. He and Robin did a great job raising Dylan. Confident but not annoying.

I love this whole interview! Sean Penn is the real deal! When he was in Haiti a few years back, he wasn’t there for the photo op. He was rather impatient with news people. I loved it because he was busy doing the real work in a hot, vile smelling location. Pretty impressive!
Yeah, what a great guy. Remember when he tied Madonna to a chair, in what the police called a 9 hour ordeal where he threatened to cut off her hair, hit her with a baseball bat. Said he would untie her only after she preformed an degrading sex act on him. Beat her so badly police said "I hardly recognized her as Madonna".

I think Sean and Madonna had a passionate relationship that was probably not the most healthy for either one. They may have crossed lines. Who knows, but she doesn't really have a reason to say that he wasn't abusive unless it's true OR her side of the street isn't perfectly clean either.

As a 70s kid of Jamaican descent who grew up in Brooklyn, I didn't even know what Vans were. We just thought they were regular creps (that's what Jamaicans call sneakers).

She is very confident and also lovely and funny and that’s good.
But again I ask myself if lots of articles are right saying children of stars are very previleged in that business or modeling getting a job. On the other hand you can mess it up and mostly you hear they are also doing normal jobs like her.
Unemployed actor over here saying that all that matters is this: is she a good actress? If Dylan was blessed with half the talent her father and mother have, she is. Haven't seen the movie, the trailer looks promising. If Tom Brady's son turns out to be a QB in the NFL the only thing that will keep him in the game are wins right? No son or daughter has ever chosen to be born in privilege or poverty, we shouldn't hold resentment over someone's provenance. Is it a classic case of nepotism? Yes. However, the movie is immediately more interesting because of that same fact. Just an anonymous opinion on a comment section and therefore irrelevant.

So…are you going to watch that movie? Haven’t heard of it before and do not know when it starts here in 🇩🇪 but I should watch a clip before/today. Watch most series or movies, a lot since Covid, in the original and sometimes with subtitles if all available somewhere on the internet. But these days US productions are followed synchronized here very fast.
Remember guy, your daughter will never be intimidated by you, WHOEVER YOU ARE. Or always, but that's entirely another story for social services.

Sean Penn is a phenomenal actor and always has been. For those of you who didn't discover his talent, for decades, despite the characters he has played, I can't enlighten you. Most of these comments are regarding how gorgeous, entitled and how much she (Dylan) resembles her mother Robin. I don't give a rat's ass about how Sean's daughter was given nepotism or fabulous beauty (Robin's contribution) as a result of her parents being remarkable stars. Sean Penn as well as his brother Chris were given opportunities perhaps others didn't receive. But Sean reigns supreme. He can be anyone or anything he is cast to be and do it better than most. Sorry that he doesn't have the legs and facial beauty of Dylan.

I was a server & bartender for 15 years. I was friendly, polite, fast & skilled. Lotsss of people don't tip. Not only that but people literally steal our tips sometimes! I was doing doordash for a bit and half my orders would be no tip. With gas $ and having to pay taxes it's not worth it.
I have a feeling she didn't have to worry too much since her family was able to pay her rent. A luxury not too many people have. But at least she tried it out.

There are too many great films of his, but the first one to make me sit up and take notice of Sean as an artist was *The Falcon and the Snowman* with Timothy Hutton. The second one that gripped me was *Casualties of War* with Michael J. Fox.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty has to be one of Shawn Penn’s smallest rolls with the greatest impact on a film. He brings to light the corporate greed and how it affects those caught up in the changing dynamics of an industry trying to remain relevant while maximizing profits at any cost. Penn’s performance was simple yet impactful to the movies success in establishing that having a relationship to each character was critical to the movies underlying plot. But Fast Times at Ridgemont High was a classic too!! Mr. Hand was a dick!
I agree with you on this. Sean was truly himself on The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. If you liked him in that, you will like his performance in "Flag Day." And, just for fun, I was there the day that Sean and Dylan were arguing about the mascara and it really wasn't quite two hours. But we were standing around waiting for quite a while! I wish others could see them both at work. VERY talented, and they did work amazingly well together.
