- Inger Jacobsen performing "Kom Sol, Kom Regn" ("Come Sun, Come Rain" - hope this is right, Lars :-)), the Norwegian entry at the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest.
It may have had the bad luck of following eventual winner Isabelle Aubret, but this is still a truly nice, old-fashioned jazzy ballad that has been growing on me for some time now - perhaps helped by Inger's low voice, which I personally find very appealing. - Hudba
Thank you Tasos for sharing this gem with us; now this is one of those ballot types that I really like, especially with 'jazzy' tones. And I agree with you you about her voice that adds that extra 'je ne sais quoi', definitely top 3. Looking forward to Yugoslavia from that year.
Our first really underrated entry; Inger Jackobsen sings really beautiful and the orchestration is really good and "jazzy", very typical for Norwegian music in the early 60's! :-)
BTW Tasos, you translated it completely right. As I said, Norwegian and English grammar is very similar! :-)
Those were the days
I love this song - though it's in part perhaps a little too similar to 'Stranger on the shore' - and I love Inger's voice. Very underrated, as was so often the case with Norwegian entries in those early years.
Yes, it is similar to Stranger in the shore. Actually I begin humming one song and and in the other one
Gut! Zu schlecht von der Jury bewertet
