I saw a comment on another video of him that said “Every time he sings, the Gods gather to listen.” I couldn’t agree more.
this man is an instrument of the gods.
true
Absolutely YES
Verissimo
The gods are speaking to us. 👍
I could not have described him better than that. well done. He is out of this world, he does not belong here, he's on an entirely different level and wavelength, just like our Viking ancestors were.
I hope one day to see them live.
Me too
They'll be playing at Midgardsblot next year, if getting to Norway for a weekend is possible of course, hehe.
In 3.5 months 🤗🤗🤗
On my "to do" list as well
me too T_T
There's something like darkness and a beautiful very beautiful light in their songs and I can't put into words the feelings that I have when I heard them. Einar's voice has something inexplicable, something like pain and much love at the same time and in a cetain way this brings a great peace. Really can't explain!
I think you explained it beautifully. I don't understand the words however many of his songs reduce me to tears, yet I can't get enough of the music......so powerful, so beautiful
Lorraine Stern, Exactly! I also don't understand the lyrics or the language in which the songs are, however they bring me one of the best feelings I've ever felt and I love it, and it also makes me cry.
It's the balance in everything. What we feel when listening to this song is everything at once, every extreme and its exact opposite... That's why it's so powerful and you can't help yourself but break out in tears. It's beautiful.
I find Myrkur music the same way - - there is the depth and intention of the person behind the voice - THEY BELIVE what they sing. They are bards and priestesses - not entertainers
And you have a writing tallent :P ..no really
I personally prefer this version over the one with electric guitar. The acoustic sound of instruments mix really well with Einar's voice and it makes it more meaningful 💞
Wow, not matter the mood, no matter the place, Einar's Voice always makes everything stop and the world become humble.
Einar voice is pure magic
listening to Wardruna gives me strength to endure and accomplish the impossible
Listening to them is a holy ceremony for my soul and mind.
Damn Einar, hail that ever growing braided beard
Wonderful version thank you
The gods are working through the breath of this man. Hail.
Beautiful. I don't understand the words, yet still it brings me to tears
Power of art 👍
It talks about the circle of life.
The song begins with words:" Life from every death. Death from every life..."
David Raskin Thank you David. Speaks to my soul
@@kathleenv7929 speaks to all of us
Jaime Soltys Wow thank you! That is a beautiful song/poem
How could this possibly EVER have any dislikes?? Do those people have no soul?? Because this stirs mine... ❤️
Indeed.
Actually, Nio Zen inner language is the same. It's telepathic. A knowing that while the same has differences of opinion. ;)
@Nio Zen sorry I haven't replied b4 now. I don't get notifications anymore so I didn't know about yr reply until today when I came back to this vid and checked. Anyway, I never said we are all the same just that inner language is as it's more of an inner knowledge. A main reason that if one quiets the mind enough they can communicate w/any species.
or nationality. Which I think is probably a reason so many ppl love music such as Wardruna and Heilung. It resonates on a deeper level being it's about things that came before materialism and all the other trappings of modern day.
@Nio Zen No I didn't mean equanimity. I just meant simply quieting one's mind. As in ceasing the mind's chaos and sitting quietly. You seem to be stuck in the old, skeptically boxed in school of thought. Maybe not completely but it seems it creeps around the edges of yr thought process. Truly I am sorry for throwing out a judgment like that being Idk you but it hurts my heart when views are rigid.
One of my favourite songs by Einar. Takes me to another universe, and hearing him live would be a dream come true. Hopefully i will manage to go on one of his concerts
But it's talking about this world... govori o stvarnosti pravoga života.. ne urbanoga.
Give us strenght for what is coming Odin...
(English)
Turning
Life from every death,
death from every life.
Life from every death,
death from every life.
The wheel sings of rings,
not lines.
Sun-starved wolves,
horses chased.
Shining Sol!
Turning wheel!
Life from every death,
death from every life.
Your self sacrificed to yourself
on a wind-battered tree;
knowledge demands it.
Norns, spin!
Fates, win!
Mills, grind!
Roosters, crow!
Strike, hail!
Ice to water!
Heart, beat!
Fields, be sown!
Each breath,
each beat,
each day will come anew!
Turning!
Turning!
Out of the gap of Ginnunga
you are, you were, you become, you gain, you grow!
You awaken!
You awaken!
Life from every death,
death from every life.
Einar is a lot different and better than 20 years before and I'm very happy for that. He evolved and he created his level of music...finally, the last year, I have "my" type of what I prefer to hear daily...thanks to Einar
I was really blessed by the gods to watch Wardruna live in Brasilia, Brazil on 2017. Cant wait to see you guys peforming again. Your music conects my soul to the gods.
They say the black African is the original creators but we never came close to creating such nordic beauty
African traditional music is beautiful too. I share Einar Selvik's songs with my Facebook friends from Nigeria and Morocco, and they share their songs with me.
Don't understand a word but this made me tear up
To think that I was blissfully sailing on a Hurtigrutin cruise (which starts and finishes at Bergen) at that time, completely unaware that Wardruna, AURORA, Kalandra and the other amazing artists from Norway even existed. That does it! After the pandemic I’m goin’ back!
The moment you realize that unlike other songs his sound amazing in real life. :)
"Du er, du var, du vert, du vinn, du veks!
Du vaknar!". (с) Kvervandi ( Ivar Bjørnson & Einar Selvik)
Da.
Silje is SUPERB on the hardanger in this... wow, just wow.
Thank you from Armenia 🇦🇲 I love you Einar so much, I love Wardruna 🖤
Despite the fact that I do not speak this language, this song and Wardruna's creation made me listen it carefully with bated breath
Can´t wait for the live performance in Czech republic again late in 2019!! #ThankYou
This becomes more and more profound and powerful everytime I experience it.
A live DVD would be so sweet, although I really hope to see you live in Norway one day.
I hope to someday grow a beard as good as Einars beard
Just have patience. A lot of patience. And let it grow, keep it healthy with a good beard oil. All that's to it!
This day will come ... wespenblech.square7.ch/archiv/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Foto-Ralf.jpg
Me too but I'm 27 and still can't grow a fucking beard. The only bonus to that is I have less chance of going bald.
It's all in the genetics I believe
Ever since I heard this song I can’t stop playing it. It is a statement to Selvik’s skill as an artist, musician, vocalist and songwriter that people are so moved by his music.
Magnificent....love your voice Einar.
Your music connects me to the gods in a beautiful and calming way. your music erases any fear I have and replaces it with hope. thank you
2:15 how awesome is the song that Ragnar himself is sitting in the front row!
Runes to words to true magic
Ivar Bjørnson you are very glorius
Sublime! 🇦🇷
The spirits of this song have embedded their purpose in the flow of my blood stream and flow within me like an electrical storm and the calm of the waters edge at dawn
I WIsh To See This Man Performing Before I Die
Me too mate....it's my strongest dream and I'm going to make it come true sooner or later
I cannot express what im feeling right now. This is incredible art and of course a wonderful tribut to history.
Thank you so much for healing my wounds with your music Einar!

This Man Most Definitely Has Favor Amongst The Gods. He definitely is spreading their word to the masses
This takes me directly to my soul... thank you for making such beautiful music that goes beyond everything they call music these days ✨
Coming to my city in October of 2020...please fate let this transpire!
I strangely feel like this song is communicating with the profound nature of my existence. The drums are so vital in this. A beautiful conversation.
"Liv av kvar ein død
Død av kvart eit liv"
I have a tattoo of that very line thanks to them.

Great band hands down
January and November I'll see you guys again.....2019 gonna be a great year.
Some musicians got arenas and concert halls. Einar plays literally in the crevasse of a mountain and draws a crowd
Pure magic, sent from the gods.
Silje Solberg plays the fiddle so, so well. She's amazing. Such a good synergy with Einar's magical voice.
Totally agree

they came to manchester in november 2018. far better than i had hoped for. you will remember if Einar looks into your eyes when performing. He looked directly into mine during URUR. It was like he already knew I loved URUR. The drums live in URUR are OUT OF THIS WORLD. IF YOU CLAP THE LOUDEST AND LONGEST HE WILL LOOK AT YOU.
An amazing voice, it feels like an emotional journey, fantastic ❤ greetings from Germany 😊
It's like if I were receiving the wisdom from the Allfather Odin itself, awe and attonmet at the same moment, beyond the sublime, entranced!!!
Hell yes. Amazing!
Yes...need this now..🌷
I love this ❤️
Amazing!!!!
That really gave me chills! Simply amazing. 🖤
