It always blows my mind hearing younger powder's VA. she is so fucking good. Specially when powder was breaking down.

This is art! You incorporated the story and the symbolic visual elements so well, even from the music video! That moment of “who are you willing to lose?” followed by Jinx literally carrying their ghosts on her back is so good and so haunting. You can really feel the extent of her grief. Another moment that worked so well is “take care of Powder” followed by “where is your sister?” because it wasn’t Vi’s fault she was arrested, but from Jinx’s perspective, Vi will always be the sister who failed her at that moment and Silco will always be the father figure who threw her a (very twisted) lifeline so she could survive.

It’s not even logical why the story and some people try to blame Vi about failing
Powder for the few seconds she took distance to cooldown and avoid hurting her
own sister in the middle of a Chaotic emotional crisis. Of all the blames that
Vi does have, among them, influencing and taking the other kids with her to the
criminal jobs, the only thing Vi is not guilty of, is failing Powder that day.
Vi understood she was a threat to Powder because her emotional state, and she
took few steps away, and when she looked back, she wanted to go help Powder
almost immediately
@@aeonsoulstar9066 oh, I agree with you! The problem is, Powder didn't know Vi got arrested and was also probably too young and codependent to understand why Vi would need a moment away from her. From her perspective, Vi abandoned her because she seemingly walked away without an explanation and never came back. But Vi taking a moment was definitely a sensible thing to do in that situation.
@@BrokenDarkFire Yup Powder thinks that Vi just left and never came back, but watchers can see that Vi just wanted to cool down, wasn't even far away and wanted to came back the moment she sees someone getting close to Powder because she still loves her and wants to protect her. That's why while I get why Jinx has so many problems, but can't get why people turns so hatefull against Vi for "abandoning" Powder or "Not loving" her sister.

Better than taking her to a dangerous place where she could easily get killed. Vi had to save Vander, she didn’t have time to protect her 11 year old little sister.
Sadly her sister feelings wasn't priority, they could talk latter but Vi had to save Vander in minutes, not enought time to stay and confort the child, ho wait, Vi was also a child.
@@xCoatlicuex it's real tragic beauty, that they're both so relatable in their hopes, fears and blind spots. The way they treat each other is so human, because their roads to hell are paved with good intentions.
No wonder Jinx had inferiority complexes. Despite Vi also being a child, she was more gifted than her sister and she knew it when she was an adult. However I relate more to Jinx, because I had a sister like V was.
And also, I love how the rises and falls of both Vander and Silco are very paralleled. Just as Vander was so close to Vi and treating her like his very own daughter. In the same way Silco was the exact same thing for Jinx. Now that is "flowing together like poetry" (Thank you George Lucas and Star Wars for influencing and bringing that concept to life)

I was on the road to be like Powder. But my Master found me and taught me how to have balance in all areas of my life. And for that I thank it everyday.

Jinx didn’t deserve all that, she was happy with silco
It’s vi who made powder jinx not silco
It’s not that I don’t like vi she’s my favorite, but jinx trusted vi she just wanted love from her sister which she didn’t get
I wonder if Vi accepts Jinx the way she is, they can get along with each other again.
Spoiler warning: She got love from Vi, but Vi was scared, and she had to save the only father she had left, and in doing so, she didn't want to risk everyone dying because of Powders mistakes, she was filled with anger because she just witnessed her brothers and father die, she realized Powder was the one who made the mistake and did that, she hit her out of anger, she wasn't thinking. Vi had the same, if not more trauma than Powder, she was just a child. Then she was kidnapped when she stepped away from Powder for a minute, and sent to prison for years, she never made Jinx.
@@randomkiddo4182 Vi didn't mean to hurt Powder. I don't see it as a question of rather Vi or Silco made Jinx, I see it more as everyone's mental health issues crashing into each other. I don't think Vi was worried about Powder hurting everyone, to me it looked like Vander put the idea in Vi's head about not losing Powder, so Vi asked Powder to stay home to save Powder and protect her from herself. But Powder was also scared of losing the most important person to her: her sister.
Even if you fast forward the end, Silco firing that gun at Vi? Because he was scared of losing Jinx. They're all broken people with problems, issues, and insecurities that just keep setting each other off like dominos.
We don't (really) see it, but I wouldn't be surprised if even Milo was only teasing Powder because of his own self-doubt in his own abilities. We see him try to pick a lock twice: the first time he's told he's too slow, and the second time he's freaking out and the person he's trying to save has to comfort Milo so he can calm enough to do it. Plus Powder is already a better shot than Milo, and while they don't have guns as children, they all had to understand guns are powerful. Maybe he was insecure about how Powder would be far better in a fight once they were old enough for guns? That isn't explored beyond the way he brushes off or belittles her abilities with a firearm, but still could have been there. My point being everyone has their own issues, and they keep setting off each other's problems like a chain reaction.
With Silco she kept having flashbacks and panic attacks. Also kept feeling insecure, jealous of Sevika while distrusted for Silco men and hated for other Zaunites. No, that wasn't an ideal situation but a time bomb.
Jinx was made for a ton of factors, Vi loved, protected and kept Powder safe for years, was under Silco care that she turned into Jinx. Yes Vi slaped her but it's a pretty understable reaction, people like to forget that Vi was A) a child b) a child who only can deal with her feelings punching c) traumatized as hell d)pumping adrenaline from the fight. Yes the 15 seconds of rage after Powder killed her family were a factor to create Jinx, but not the whole thing and Silco is not innocent at all raisng Jinx for years to think that killing people is the way to go.
If something Vi LOVED her sister a lot, she protected her as child, thinked of her all the time in prision, looked for her the second she was able, and kept fighting to stay with her, she even offered to left everything and go away with her. Was Jinx who kept rejecting it because wasn't the way she wanted it. Also I wonder how people can confuse "being worry about her mental health" with "not loving". If you love someone of course you will want they get healty.
@@xCoatlicuex Except Vi was the older sibling and was also the closest thing she had to a mother since their parents` death, she knew Powder had mental health issues since that day on the bridge(As did she to a lesser extent)but she didn`t take Vander`s lecture about "When people depend on you, you don`t get to be selfish" until it was already way too late and yet even after what happened with Powder and her guilt over it, she continued to be selfish and punch first!Not only that, Silco may not have been the best leader but he was a Zaunite who cared about his people in a fucked-up and often hypocritical and exploitative way mind you but nonetheless but Vi just saw him as "the man who took her baby sis from her" even though her own actions and words did that!No wonder she sells out to the Pilties, like them she has zero accountability and self-awareness as to how much her actions hurt Zaun and her own family!

The absolute most heart-breaking aspect of Jinx's story is knowing that everything that made her was because Vi rejected her. It really is Vi's fault why Jinx does what she did.
Whait, what? Powder had a lot of problems since the beggining, while Vi yelling at her was hurtfull (but understable considering Jinx killed all her family for not following a single instruction and Vi was hell of traumatized that moment too) Jinx wasn't created for a single slap, was a work of years and came from a ton of factors, since the war in the bridge, to Silco grooming, passing for her own deilusions.

@@artfaist *Yes, she killed them, unintentionally tho,* it was an accident, just like Vi, Powder was also a child, she was even noticeably younger than Vi. She's just an already traumatized little Child bc of the death of her parents she developed abandonment issues and strong attachment issues, she only wanted to save her remaining family (especially Vi), this guilt and trauma will fracture her mind and change her forever and that's tragic.
