CKG knows people are concerned about the metal sifting insert, they will be offered a plastic one in the future!
You already have a sifter on the end of the stick! 😂
Now, if it didn't have that stainless mesh we would have something. Ideally we are going to use something like that in gravel, but we have to be able to use our pinpointer.
😂😂 maybe ckg can offer a plastic replacement insert🤔
Nifty sifty!!
Thanks
New handy water toy!
Nice video!!
Thank you!😊
Nice video and thanks for sharing ... for sure that sifter will out last most of us, very well made but needs a few changes for it to work best in world conditions. Needs a bigger sifting area, 16 plus inches, and the SS mesh needs to be non-metal. A big piece of SS floating near buy can interfere with the metal detector.
@@oldbeechnut I felt like the size was fine considering how buoyant it is. The plastic sifter insert would help for situations where you would want to pinpoint, and also cut down on interference. It didn’t bother me as long as it didn’t float on top of my target.
In the 80's, I once used an inner tube & window screen. It was clunky w/a non-waterproof detector. I trashed it after proto-Karen demanded to know if I had a "mining claim." Too much trouble. The CKG looks/works good. Am glad that curious kids weren't all over it. 😃
@@OLdweeb oh there were. Lots of editing on this video🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing your video
Hey Eric, those line connectors are just called snaps as there are several types of them. I made one of those sifters from PVC pipe and pool noodle with screen. I used it in lakes… John
oh snap! I'll see if I can remember lol
😍😍😍
Nice wheatie! :-) Yeah... that sifter looks to have a metal grate... right? Fine for sand but that would make it useless if you're digging in small rocks or gravel and then intend to use a pinpointer once your scoop-load is dumped into the sifter. Odd that CKG wouldn't realize that... kinda minimizes its usefulness.... 🤷♂
Seems like they're marketing it at the shell and shark tooth hunters as well. Maybe a replacement plastic grate? It does screw in place.
@@SeekandDetect - Cheap & easy to use the metal grate as a template and cut/drill yourself a plastic one?
@@OLdweeb ya that’s a little bit of a pain but doing for a handy DIYer like yourself. Possible CKG could offer it in the future? The place in this video had fairly fine mud/sand so it worked well. A few shells and clams, no pin pointing needed.
the clip is called a "Snap Swivel"
thanks, I'll try to remember that!
would you ever sell the gold cross you found a couple weeks ago thanks
I enjoyed the video as always, but color me stupid, isn't the floating sifter defeating the ability of the sand scoop? More stuff to haul down the water's edge? I feel like it's a waste of $77.
i suppose certain situations it'll be useful. I'm definitely not taking it into the surf lol
Hey brother nice video! I'm just getting started at making metal detecting videos you got any good advice for a new content creator?
#1 rule, enjoy doing it. You have to love detecting and enjoy shooting/uploading video. No matter how well you do, keep at it. Try to make the kinds of videos you like watching. I think if you're having fun doing what you like, people will know it. Stay consistent keep uploading. Stopping for long periods of time will slow your momentum. As time goes by you'll see ups and downs and patterns will develop. Then you can figure out what people like to see. Best of luck to you!
Why did you cut the part with me
@@DugalFota oh man sorry dude, I was recording when you walked up and I flipped the camera off instead of on. I totally missed the shot😢😢
What good is it compared to the Tube tub. Yours has a metal grid. No good with a pin pointer. Now you use 2 sifters when you only need a scoop. Tube Tub wins. No metal parts.
@@michelsanfilippo5340 not familiar with the tub. It’s all plastic? Actually, so much stuff falls through I don’t think I’d ever use a pinpointer. There’s definitely a trade off, holes too big and the small stuff goes through, holes too small and you’re shaking forever. Just like scoops.
@@SeekandDetect I understand that but the tub is for areas that are filled with rocks, gravel and or mudy areas. Watch the hoover boys and you'll understand more of my point. It's the perfect sifter for it. A scoop is all you need for sandy diggs.
Swivel
I am bloody glad vapes are banned here.😂.
Once in awhile they’ll leak and stink up my bag🤮
too small
use 2 at the same time lol
@@SeekandDetect that would suck they need to make them3 times larger
