As someone who designs film posters for a living, with a continual anxiety regarding my performance; seeing the poster for Playing it Cool really put me at ease. I'm good now ... thanks Mike.
One of them says "It was like the worst thing ever," the other says "No, I enjoyed it!" This basically sums up the majority of Mike and Jay's interactions with each other.
-Green Inferno (Amazonian cannibals) -Ex Machina (AI/robot and Oscar Isaac dancing) -The Lazarus Effect ("biggest pile of horse crap I've ever seen" ~ Mike) -Call Me Lucky (comedian documentary) -What We Do In The Shadows (vampire mockumentary) -Lost Soul (documentary about The Island of Dr Moreau movie) -Maggie (Ah-nold's a dad who has a daughter turning into a zombie) -Welcome To Me (crazy, rich Kristen Wiig who has a TV show) -The Cobbler (Adam Sandler finds magic shoe machine that turns him into people) -Black Mass (Johnny Depp is a gangster with very distracting blue eyes) -Poltergeist (another re-make that wasn't needed or asked for) -The Overnight (while 2 couples' kids sleep, the couples get wasted, naked, and unpredictable) -Boulevard (Robin Williams is an older guy with a wife who finally realizes he's gay?) -Aloha (Emma Stone is an Asian-American...yeah...) -Accidental Love (Jessica Biel has a nail in her head and something about Tracy Morgan's anus?) -Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation (Tom Cruise in his 5th impossible mission that he makes possible) -Backcountry (a bear attacks people) -The Gift (Jason Bateman may or may not be a douchebag while the other guy may or may not be a creeper) -Into The Grizzly Maze (a bear attacks people but now with Billy Bob Thornton) -The Boy Next Door (Jennifer Lopez makes really good cookies) -Playing It Cool (best and most amazing movie poster ever!)
Jay forgot to mention the most important part of the Cobbler's twist in that there is actually a giant organization of cobblers that use their magical cobbling machines to disguise themselves and fight crime. Dustin Hoffman even mentions that the dry cleaners are their enemies.
I know there isn't a pizza roll's chance in hell that Mike or Jay read the youtube comments, but nevertheless I still just want to thank you guys for making this stuff. I really enjoyed this video and all the videos you do. Keep up the awesome work, guys.
+Chris Wynn When I was a kid, Christmas was a satsuma in a sock, my parents getting drunk and throwing stuff at each other, and the cold... the bitter, unrelenting cold. So, yes. This is exactly like Christmas.
So clearly, RedLetterMedia looked at the upcoming movies and said, "Shit, there are only about two other movies we want to review before Star Wars comes out. Yet, we need three episodes to make it to 100... Movie recaps are still popular, right? It's only October? Fuck it! We'll do it live!"
I remember watching Green Inferno in the cinema. It was the greatest thing ever. I ended up going twice with a couple friends and we had bets on how many people would be actually horrified by the movie verbally or walk out. I'm like Jay, i was about as entertained by the other peoples reactions to the movie as the movie itself. We need to have more movies like this in theaters.
Not only that but I also think the movie is quite funny as sociological satire, with all its scathing caricature of a certain kind of environmental activists. Jay says the movie is tonally inconsistent, but I think it's mostly just a dark, disgusting comedy, which actually is what makes the horror scenes bearable for me. It's a pretty similar tone to that of Hostel, as far as I remember while watching that one you were not supposed to feel 100% horrified either, the whole thing was sort of playful.
About that Adam Sandler movie "The Cobbler", the plot of it sounds suspiciously like that Tales from the Darkside episode called "The Social Climber." In that episode, an apprentice of a cobbler finds out that if he wears the custom-made shoes that the master makes for his customers, he also becomes that person. It's a neat little episode if you're a TftD fan, although the ending was a bit predicable.
Watching Red Letter Meta videos gives me both a ton of laughs and some good insight on filmmaking. Reading a good amount of the comments from their fans nearly gives me brain cancer.

Review starts at 5:00 if anyone is curious, although how this movie didn't warrant its own review is beyond me, I'm nuts about the film. The kind of thing that after you get over the initial shock of the plot, you immediately have to rewatch it just to see HOW they filmed it. I love these episodes of HitB. I know they don't do as well, but I like hearing about other movies that aren't necessarily big block busters or mainstream. I really love hearing their recommendations for movies they genuinely liked and would actively encourage others to seek out, rather than just the "yeah go see it" recommendations of the lack luster movies they review. I would love a random one off episode where they just talk about their favorites and recommendations. Not that I don't love the other episodes, and I know it may not be worth it to do, but I just think it would be cool to see. Anyway, here's hoping for an end of 2015 recap!
+Icecream2448 Hunger Games? Do people really need Half in the Bag for all these young-adult franchises? Nah, doubt it. Something like Sicario+Steve Jobs or Crimson Peak+The Last Witch Hunter and then Spectre must be more likely.

"Why would you wanna be Steve Buschemi" - One of the underrated funniest line from Mike
"I know it's a fake documentary about vampires, but what's the plot?"
"These guys come to document vampires."

now, THIS is the type of insightful commentary I come to RLM for.
@Joe Brown There's some references to the movie in the show.
Might be my favorite comedy of the past decade. This movie makes me laugh everytime
"Aloha?" More like "Aloha." That was effing brilliant!

@Samar3n The word Aloha can be used as hello and also used as goodbye, what Jay said is basically "Hello?" More like "goodbye."

Jay forgot to mention the most important part of the Cobbler's twist in that there is actually a giant organization of cobblers that use their magical cobbling machines to disguise themselves and fight crime. Dustin Hoffman even mentions that the dry cleaners are their enemies.
"Why would you want to be Steve Buscemi?"
Because he used to be a firefighter! What a herooooo!
If you're Dustin Hoffman, the only reason to choose to be Steve Buscemi is to avoid being in an Adam Sandler movie for as long.
Steve Buscemi is in an elite class of being one of the utmost alternatively handsome human beings on earth along with Clint Howard
I like the cobbler
"She could've gone the Melissa McCarthy route and done all these *big broad comedies*"
That's brilliant humor there Jay, whether intentional or not.
The production value is truly a sight to behold

Poltergeist was one of the few films this year that I thought, "I could leave right now and not miss anything."
