Congratulations! Thanks for the informative video. I'm a man and I love wearing vanilla. Some of my favs are Amouage Material, YSL Babycat, Jovoy Fire at Will, and Indult Tihota. Tihota in particular reminds me of the smell of Tahitian Mono'i oil which is coconut oil that is sometimes macerated in tiare flowers with vanilla, which makes sense why they chose a Tahitian word for the name.
Vanilla loving guy here. It's probably my favorite note but I don't tend to like fragrances that are purely vanilla or don't have anything to contrast it with. My favorites are Montale Arabians Tonka, MFK Grand Soir, and Mercedes Club Black.
I have convinced myself that Herod is a better pick vs Tobacco Vanille.
I am a guy and I love Vanilla. I own memories of a trespasser. Up there at the top. Molinard has a vanilla patchouli which is wonder.Mercedes Benz club black is another beautiful mens vanilla. My number 1 would be Rosendo Mateu 5amber sensual musk. I would love if you could get your nose on this one.

I second everyone who mentioned Divine Vanille by Essential Parfums! Absolutely beautiful vanilla fragrance with great performance, created by the late great Olivier Pescheux. And an insanely affordable price point! One of my go to fragrances for all seasons.
Great video! Looking forward to trying some of these recommendations. I’m always surprised to find that more people don’t mention Vaniglia del Madagascar by Profume Di Forenze !! It’s truly one of the best and most true vanillas I’ve ever smelled!!
As a guy vanilla is my favourite note in perfumery. More specifically i just love it as a supporting note. I feel like it goes well with so many things and it just gives fragrances that kinda smooth and welcoming vibe, that i really enjoy.

As a guy, my favorite vanillas are (I) SDV, as mentioned, (ii) Eau des Beaux by Loccitane (as a cheapie in the same category to me as SDV) and (iii) Constantinople by Penhaligons. As you noted, TF Tobacco Vanille is definitely high on the list but not vanilla focused.
Thanks for the video. I love Silky Woods by Goldfield & Banks. It is a wonderful vanilla, oud and tobacco scent. So good. I also love Dvlcis In Fvndo by Profvmvm Roma. It is just vanilla and citrus and is very good. Mouth watering.
I’m a 50 y/o man I love Eau duell in the EDP form. I think men can pull this one off better than the EDT but that’s just an opinion of course. I own a bottle of Nishane Ani which is Vanilla forward but I use it much less than eau duell edp. Ill have to look int memoirs of a trespasser sounds interesting
My favourite vanilla as a guy is Cuir Béluga by Guerlain. The suède note gives the vanilla a certain luxuryness I really enjoy. It also has better performance on me than SDV.

Just got Memoirs of a Trespasser based on this recommendation. Really love it. I have other big time vanilla scents but they’re all tobacco too. Love the woods in this one. Overlaps a bit with BR540, and smells very much like the inside of a sauna.

I am loving Lalique Le Parfum, aromatic spicy herby vanilla very unique and unusual. I also like Van Cleef and Arpels Bois Dore that one is really good tobaccoish smokey vanilla very sexy. Thank you Ashley for your videos I am learning a lot about perfumes.

Great job narrowing down to those fragrances where vanilla is the main note, Ashley. Nishane Ani immediately comes to my mind as vanilla-centric, but it also has citrus and spicy notes in the background that make it unique. Serendipitous Serendipity 3 is one of my favorite gourmand vanilla fragrances, which is great to spray on clothes or use as a comforting bedtime fragrance, and it is reminiscent of a freshly baked waffle cone. Laurence Dumont's Tendre Madeline is a vanilla-centric scent that smells like a madeline cookie.
I love serendipity and tendre madeleine. I haven’t tried Nishane Ani, but I’m going to make a point to try it on when I go fragrance shopping this week. Thank you for the recommendation Tom!
I wear silky woods by Goldfield & Banks. Leans feminine but it's so good I just wear it anyway. Great vanilla fragrance 👌

If we speak about vanilla then the following 3 fragrances pop into my mind:
1.Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille: an iconic fragrance from Tom Ford and we know why... :)
2. Essential Parfums: Divine Vanille (beautiful, pleasent vanilla)
3. Tom Ford Vanille Fatale: I can't believe how long lasting and fabulous this is... I remember the first test when I sprayed on my hand and my hand contacted with my coat and not gonna lie I still felt the Vanilla on that part of my coat after 3+ weeks. :O I'm planning to get this in the near future.
Vanille Fatale sadly discontinued😢 they’re bringing back out end of this month but hear from (Sebastian) he says not the same😢😢😢
Believe it or not, but a really amazing cheapie, smoky vanilla is, 'Mercedes Benz Club Black', its so lush.

I love and wear Absolute Aphrodisiac by initio, Ani by nishane, and vanilla oud by vertus. One of my favorite notes.
Not all vanilla only scents, but I like: Christian Provenzano Nuit de Noces, Nishane's Ambra Calabria and Ani, Vanilla Vibes, Royal Crown Sultan, Montale Dark Vanilla, those are some of my favorites. Still need to try Tihota and Material, they're in my list. I have no problem wearing Vanilla is one of my favorite notes. Thanks for the video Ashley!!!

Sultan by royal crown is a good vanilla fragrance. a little pricey but the scent is amazing
I liked vanilla vibes from Juliette has a gun. Sebastian had a good rating on it, and I really enjoyed it especially during summer.

Ashley, great fragrance video as always. I was never a fan of vanilla fragrances until I smelled Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. It is more a heavy tobacco fragrance but I still can pick up the vanilla & I love the fragrance. My girlfriend wears Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain and it smells great on her. She agrees with you about the performance. It does not last very long on her skin, but it smells amazing. She also wears Love by Kilian. Next week, we are going to NYC and she wants to try the fragrances on your list.

I wanted to love Tihota but it didn't last on my skin, it was a two hour wear. I wonder if a lot of vanillas have longevity issues if they have naturals in them? So many fragrances have vanilla in the base. Some of mine are SDV, Orchidee Vanille by Van Cleef and Arpels, Nuit Et Confidences Annick Goutal and Ani by Nishane. - Jenn

Where's Amouage Material? 12+ hour performance on a weak day. Utterly unique with some complexity but so smooth and unisex. Cecile Zerokian.
Like you, I think Guerlain's Spiritueuse is King/Queen Vanilla (still saving up to buy a bottle, haha), but I recently tried an absolutely delicious one by Stephane Humbert Lucas called Sand Dance. It's mixed with whisky cream and I also get a chocolatey accord in the beginning, and is so good I have to have a bottle of it. Would love to know what you think!

Love Vanille Havane by Les Indemodables... Also if you can find it (it's long been discontinued) is the ORIGINAL Vanilia by L'Artisan Parfumeur... I think that is one of the BEST and most AUTHENTIC vanilla fragrances!

Also I love SDV but my fav from that line has to be Daniela Andrier’s Angelique Noir.
Perhaps not vanilla dominant but all the vanilla notes in Profumum Roma’s line make me 🫠

I don’t understand how some people say SDV is soft and doesn’t last. It lasts 12+ hours on me and everyone I know who wears it. It is airy, but has incredible projection and longevity like BR540 and I do go nose blind to it sometimes.
Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille is way too expen$$$ive to spray often. But I wish. :) I love vanilla fragrances. So delicious. Thank you.
My favorite is Eau de Baux by loccitane. It's a vanilla amber and kind of reminds me of coca cola

I used to work in a vanilla bean chopping room and have always looked for something to duplicate that smell. Vanilla beans have an earthy facet (like soil), and I still haven't found a fragrance close to the smell I remember.

I am a guy who loves vanilla, usually for my wife, and I'm just starting to try to find masculine, vanilla focused fragrances to wear for myself. I was pointed toward "Alexandria Fragrances - Hafez Gold" and "Lucas Fragrance Labs - Imperial I". So far Imperial I is a strong, woody vanilla and I have not tried Hafez Gold yet but it is on my list. Guerlain earned my trust with L'Homme Ideal EPD so I will have to look into Spiritueuse Double Vanille.

oh.. and as a vanilla scent I wear a lot as a guy - Shalimar EDT is my love in this category
Perfect timing Ashley! I was actually looking for a new fall and winter fragrance and I really wanted to get a new Vanilla. I almost used up my bottle of spicebomb extreme and I love it's drydown. Was kind of looking for something similar, but a bit less spicy so the Vanilla is able to shine a bit more.
Indult tihota and eau duelle have been on my list for quite some time now. Might sample them.
I wonder if you have tried Babylon by Penhaligon? I wasn't able to get a sample of it so far and no store in my area sells Penhaligon. It sounds soooo good, with the vanilla and all the spices (which I DO like, I LOVE spicy fragrances that are dark and rich etc, but spicebomb extreme just has this very aggressive peppery feel to it).
I have never smelled cypriol before in parfums and it's supposed to be one of the more prominent notes in Babylon, so I am a bit wary :)
Edit: I would love to see more videos like this. Maybe make it a series? There are so many gorgeous notes you could do. Personally, I want to see a top neroli fragrances video! I have tried to get more into neroli but I haven't found a parfum I love yet. Neroli intense by Nicolai sounds great and I plan on sampling it next year for the summer
I looove spice bomb too. If you’re a warm spice fan I definitely suggest sampling Eau Duelle but also Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle and Serge Lutens’ chergui. I haven’t properly tested the Babylon but will try this week. Thank you for watching!
@@ashleyinparisvideos Excited to hear your opinion on Babylon! Eau duelle sounds good. I wanted to try meharees as an alternative to musc ravageur which is way less expensive (50ml 38€, it's supposed to be super close to MR but the sillage is weaker which I actually tend to prefer most of the time)

Vanilla Vibes is the best Vanilla I’ve smelled so far. It’s hard to find a vanilla that isn’t candy like to my nose.
I recently bought Amouage Material, a truly beautiful vanilla scent by Cecile Zarokian. My last 2 buys were Amouage's by Cecile, with the other being Royal Tobacco & wow, she really is a master of her craft.
I have to smell the amouage material! The vanilla they have in their attar collection is also excellent. Also agree about Cecile Zarokian being a master of her craft

Also finally tried Tihota and for the first time ever I had a perfect surprising beauty of a cloud around me all day! This coming from a dry-skinned unhydrated person! For mega affordable I have 3: Britney Spears Private Show, The Police Forbidden and Zara Mochi Atelier in Tokyo :)

My favourite vanilla heavy fragrance is Stronger With You Absolutely. It is not vanilla-centric, but everything is balanced in a marvellous way: the slight boozyness, the sweet creamy vanilla, the woods, the light chestnut smokyness, and the earthyness detail you could enjoy on a full wearing. Great Fragrance!

MY FAVORITE VANILLA IZ VANILLA FLASH BY TAUERVILLE...ITZ A VERY UNIQUE VANILLA
Mizensir Ambre Magique is imo what Dior Vanilla Diorama should have been. It's more of a cashalox/ambergris than an amber but the bourbon vanilla really pops off me. Personally I like more going on than a start vanilla and this one sort of bridges the gap between say Dior Ambre Nuit and Mitzah. On the Designer side of things, Tumi has a mass appealing releases called Kinetic that features a prominent vanilla/frankincense combo. Would go well for someone who like the Aventus build but maybe in a Sauvage EDP direction for a red color instead of blue

No Shalimar/Millesime Vanilla Planifolia? 😱😆 I guess SDV is a decent compromise. But I do layer with vanilla/vanillin quite a bit in the cooler months. Balance out those dry, smoky, woody and spicy fragrances.

1 or 2 masterpiece free creations? I assume that means fragrances and if so are you at liberty to provide the notes. Not any great detail and if not the notes did you provide each free creation with a title/name? That would satisfy the curious/annoying you tube viewer that I obviously have become. Really need to find a hobby. Perhaps I should just walk up to random people on the street and ask them all kinds of questions. But who would pay my bail? Naahhhhh!!!!!! Title is an oxymoron. There is no best vanilla fragrance as they are all really bad and smell of ice cream and white tic tacs mostly.
Theres no such thing as gender in fragrsnce.
Its just a marketing thing.
