Once again (3rd time im replying this to someone), Flo Rida was not payed to show up. He wasn't originally even supposed to be there, and to my knowledge only even helped make the song because he really liked it. On top of that, you do not have to originate from a country to Represent said country, you just can't represent 2 different countries at the same time (We have had a Canadian participate at one point and to my knowledge there wasn't too many people talking 'bout that). I wouldn't rank songs by the PEOPLE singing it, just by how good it is.

Tbh, the song would have been better without him and only with Senhit.
Malta was 2nd in televote in their semi so I think the biggest issue was running order. Of course they have low voting allies but with a later running order she would definitely have reached the top 5 or even top 3

Same happened in 2016. The Maltese contestant from 2004 said the broadcaster is actually paying esc blogs to present Malta as the favourite etc. Not sure if it's true though

It was the only one who suprised me that she survived the semi finals, Albania also got really good vocals but don't like the song.

I made a modest 10-12% profit this year. Lucky in some predictions, some quite accurate some unexpected. Mostly hedging my bets to limit the loss but reducing the gains. Anyone else betting here?
From the semis I came out about even because I won some from predicting Croatia not making it and Belgium+Portugal which both had high bets. Then I lost money betting against Russia and Moldova making the finals. I had 10€ on France winning ever since February so I got a bit salty when they lost by 26 points :S
My prediction was that France will win the jury's vote (wrong) and Italy will win the televote (correct) and whichever of these countries comes first will end up winning and the other country will become 2nd. (I didn't dare to make a prediction on their exact order, but as Italy won ahead of France, I correctly predicted that these were the Top 2 countries in the contest). And I predicted that Germany, Spain and the UK were in the bottom 3. (,,again, I correctly predicted the countries, but was wrong about their order)

Ahh, I loved Moldova! I think the song is fun, and Natalia's happiness is infectious. France was my winner, but Moldova made me smile more than any other performance this year. 😊

I made a modest 10-12% profit this year. Lucky in some predictions, some quite accurate some unexpected. Mostly hedging my bets to limit the loss but reducing the gains. Anyone else betting here?
From the semis I came out about even because I won some from predicting Croatia not making it and Belgium+Portugal which both had high bets. Then I lost money betting against Russia and Moldova making the finals. I had 10€ on France winning ever since February so I got a bit salty when they lost by 26 points :S

My prediction was that France will win the jury's vote (wrong) and Italy will win the televote (correct) and whichever of these countries comes first will end up winning and the other country will become 2nd. (I didn't dare to make a prediction on their exact order, but as Italy won ahead of France, I correctly predicted that these were the Top 2 countries in the contest). And I predicted that Germany, Spain and the UK were in the bottom 3. (,,again, I correctly predicted the countries, but was wrong about their order)
