This game teached me that if you do good then good things will happen back. One day a guy was bit by a snake so I helped him and after like 4 days of playing I wanted to get something from the gun store so I went there but when I did right next to the door that guy said that he was very thankful and said that I can buy ANYTHING from the store for free.

You can't stop the Tuberculosis from killing Arthur because it's one of the main plot points of the game, why it's called Redemption because he knows he's about to die when the Dr tells him so he tries to get right with everyone in the gang before he does and doing right in general, that's why it's called Redemption. I guess John's redemption was doing right by his family before he died too.

Haven’t watched the video and right away I’m assuming it’s about the Medicine the Chief gave him to mix together
I always wished there was a way in the story to save Arthur, or a way to not get TB, maybe to skip the debt from Thomas Downes, or even send someone else to get it, as horrible as that sounds. Or maybe even a secret herb or mineral that helps create the cure for TB that Arthur can take….. or even just that he doesn’t die after his fight with Micah, and maybe survives a few more years with John and Sadie etc. It’s so sad watching him slowly die towards the end of the game. I balled my eyes out at the final mission, knowing he’s going to die.
So glad I read this comment, I thought I was menopausal as I was so sad and got teary. I really didn't want Arthur to die, I wanted to kill Micah too lol.

I didn’t do all this with the Indian chief, I just fell sick in st Denis & stranger guided me to a doctor & then I wondered around in yellow zone. In chapter 6, just kinda stumbled into this side mission wondering around st Denis.
U gave me the same hope I had when I thought I can save John in RDR1
I never played the first RD. Now I know why this game is so confusing for me. John and dutch both die in RDR1, both alive in RDR2 but not Arthur. I spent hours trying to unlock missions in RDR2 for dutch's death off the cliff to learn it was in RDR1. This game got me messed up

Tb is not curable at this time period. Well, not EASILY. Those conversation you said didn't give ANY mention of tb, Arthur HAVING tb or even CURING tb. As a somewhat spiritual person I sort of understand how Rain Falls see this situation.
He sees Arthur having heavy cough and sign of heavy sickness. Seeing as he is probably in his 60th, he most likely have encountered similar sign of sickness, but not tb. He, being a kind person that he is, tried to help Arthur by giving/showing him the traditional medicine to relieve him of his pain.
And for the record, technically speaking, if those herbs does what I THINK it does, it MAY or MAY NOT capable of helping you recover from most illness, and act as a deterrent against them.
If Arthur were to be placed at an environment without stress, having this medicinal concoctions on a daily basis, he MIGHT recover.
