  • Hey! Click this link for Bike Knowledge czcams.com/channels/h_B.html...
Welcome to Adi's Little Shedshop, in todays latest video, my son needed a new Bottom Bracket installed as his one was clicking and creaking, sounding awful and at the end of its life.
I thought I would share just how easy it was to replace, as too many bike shops charge way too much. Anyway it doesn't require a lot of tools but it does require a few specialist tools, the good thing is, they are relatively cheap and I have a link to everything needed, to measure and replace if you are having bottom bracket trouble:

I hope this was an informative video and has helped someone if you have any questions please ask away and I will endeavour to answer.
Thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop.

Hi thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, that is one of the truest and funniest things I've heard in a while, thankyou, they really are bulletproof little bottom brackets.

Great video. Love it being done in the kitchen where most cyclists have to do it

Thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, I really do enjoy working on my son's bike, especially in the house as it annoys the wife 😉 and is actually easier to work on. I hope you enjoyed them and keep watching for more bike videos when it's a bit warmer for me.

0:48 Made me laugh. Good job and thanks for the info :) I agree with the other comment that the beginning of the video was edited a bit too aggressively for brevity; it was fine after a couple of minutes. You will get the knack of this in no time, I have no doubt.

Hi, thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, I know, I'm still new at this, but I think I'm getting better, I just needed the info out without it being too long. Next one will be better for sure, I've been getting pointers from my son, I say "pointers", I think I mean "criticised", yep definitely that. Thankyou tho and keep watching.

@@adislittleshedshop No worries. Just trying to give some constructive criticism. I have a bicycle rebuild channel (The Value Bike Advocate) and I wish I could get feedback on how to make my videos better from my viewers. Keep up the good work and the more you do the better you should get. Good luck with your CZcams Journey!!

Hi thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, unfortunately it's better lighting in the kitchen, luckily, Mrs Shedshop is ok with it, as long as I don't get grease anywhere. For the first time I popped some gloves on too, so I definitely scored good points for more kitchen bike repairing next time, we'll see how long that lasts tho. I think I covered all the basics of square taper sealed bottom bracket replacement, I'm glad you liked it. Thankyou and keep watching.

Love how real this is! The world of fake CZcamsr’s working on bikes in amazing garages, fancy open plan apartments. None of are theirs. Every bike (road or MTB) do it in the kitchen.

Thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, I am soo happy that you enjoyed my video, I love making bike videos in the house as it annoys my wife 😉 and I find it so much easier to work on especially when it's cold. I totally agree there is way to much polished "workrooms", that don't work on real world bikes. Keep watching I have more bike content coming when it's slightly warmer.

Just killed my frame installing the bb300 , the non drive side started cutting its own threads 😮

Hi thankyou for watching Adi's Little Shedshop, I am sorry to hear that. I had a similar thing happen years ago when I replaced one, the darn thing jumped a thread and that was it, cross threaded instantly, ruined my frame and ended up having to go with a press fit which is a pain in the backside to fit but it did save the bike frame. I hope you found a better way, if not there is always the press fit. If you are stuck I would always take it to a local bike shop for a look-see, they can normally recut threads if they aren't too far gone. Good luck.
