    This was very helpful. For anyone else who needs to open their diamond clean toothbrush up, remember the tabs are on the BLACK part, not the white part when you have the bottom cap off and you’re looking into it. If you rip off the white cap at the end it’s GAME OVER for your toothbrush! The tabs you need to depress are black! Also making sure that the metal assembly is pushed as far down towards the toothbrush assembly as possible. That will give you the strongest vibrations possible. I fixed mine already, I’m just leaving this message to let you all know that no matter who you are or what you’ve been through, somebody Sonicares about you and unconditionally loves you. Good luck

    I had a similar problem (I accidentally dropped mine) and ordered a replacement tip. In my case the screw was loose and once I tightened it up it seems to be working again as it was. Now I have a replacement part. You helped save my $400 99xx Series brush. There should be a lifetime warranty on these things. Thanks man!!!

    This was helpful. Thank you I did have a bit of an issue getting the bottom cap off but after that it was easy to use 2 tiny flathead screw drivers to simultaneously press the 2 black clips and then press the metal tip end on a table to push out the interior mechanism. Fortunately my fix only required me to tighten the screw which had come loose. I use Blue lock tight on the threads hoping this won't happen again.

    I paused your video and studied the two black clips. Then I used a small screw drive to push down on both sides while pushing the head against the table. It came out finally. I used my finger to feel inside. In fact, on each side there is a square hole inside which is the two clips catches. also the white cap has a rail that match the white square ring on the device. When putting back don't force it in from the opposite direction.

    Taking a think sliver of aluminum foil around the base of the pin, and forcing it into the hole pushed by the pin, then cutting of the excess works well as well.

    I've done one of these already, but I have to say there has got to be an easier way that's less stressful and less chance of breaking or marking the toothbrush handle. I was lucky not to damage nor mark the one I did, but boy was it difficult.

    Haha, I wish I would have watched this before buying. I had an HX9350 for six years until the top broke off and then I bought a new HX992 handle and HX6001 charger for $120 on eBay. But I think six years was long enough to upgrade to the updated 992 features. Nevertheless I saved your video if this happens again and on the new one.

    Hey mate, thank you so much for the video. It helped me repair my lose tooth brush tip (I just tightened the screw tho). I have a new problem now: since the day I repaired it, the battery doesn’t last long (~24hrs when fully charged). Do you have any clue about how to fix this ? And what might have cause this?
    Anyway great work thanks again

    • @how2foryoudiy
      @how2foryoudiy  Před rokem

      Hey thanks for the kinds words. You could have potentially damaged the battery or something related to the battery when taking it out of the housing case. I would say if it’s not holding its charge, see if you can get a replacement battery. Try that perhaps on Amazon, in case the problem still exists you can always return it. If the problem is still there after you try a new battery then I would say see what other people are reporting online about battery charging and look into the switch board and electrical part of the toothbrush. Hope this helps. I’m curious if the new battery will be the issue so keep me posted if it’s not.

      Hey man, so my battery is working normally again! I didn’t mention last time, but I took the plane after I opened it. Security scan or flying 10 km high might have damaged the battery or the induction system. I charged it for about 20 hours, and now it’s working good again. I don’t know if it’s related but it could be!

    Thank you so much! Certainly helpful. I was wondering if you could help me out with another problem. Now that I've reassembled the case, it doesn't want to charge any more. I removed the case and it charges without the case and the bottom silver plastic cap being on the unit. Any suggestions on how to assemble it properly? Thanks again :)

    • @how2foryoudiy
      @how2foryoudiy  Před 2 měsíci

      Someone else recently commented on this. I would suggest if it’s not charging anymore get a replacement battery. You could have damaged the battery and or electronics. You have to be very delicate when doing this procedure. I would source Amazon or poke around ebay to see what options are out there for replacement parts. Maybe Philips has some good prices too on their website for OEM parts. For assembly, just follow this video. Sorry you’ve had so much hassle but you’ll get it figured out.

    • @yianz9
      @yianz9 Před 2 měsíci

      @@how2foryoudiy Thanks for the reply. The battery hasn’t been damaged as it charges with the bottom case cover off. The bottom case cover is not conducting the electricity from the charger base to the unit as it was scratched up a little during the process. I’ve ordered a new bottom case cover, hopefully that will resolve the issue. Have you ever found this before too?

    My metal tip broke off but the brush was still working so I ordered the replacement. I just go it today and switched out the metal tip but now it doesn't work at all. When I put it on the charger it doesn't buzz and the battery and clean button flash rapidly the whole time. On the charger, if I click the power button it almost sound like a car that trying to turn over. I guess I'll have to buy another one

    • @how2foryoudiy
      @how2foryoudiy  Před rokem

      That sounds like an entirely different issue all together. I would recommend doing some internet research on that specific issue if you haven’t already bought a replacement. But it sound like an electrical issue. Worth investigating. Good luck.

    What exactly was wrong with your brush? Why did you replace the tip? Thank you
    this is exactly what I need to do. It’s seems that every 2 years brush gets super loud and they sent me new one but this one is only 1 year old! Setting super loud the top you are replacing seems loose it’s wobbling..

      The metal head assembly tip broke off and I have to buy and replace the part. It's unfortunate these days you spend so much money and you get something that has to be worked on shortly after. That's planned obsolescence for ya. Thanks for watching.

    Squeeze on the corners instead of the sides. Comes right out. Also no need to replace anything. It's the set screw that comes loose add lock tight and resecure.

    • @ebone260
      @ebone260 Před rokem +1

      The set screw doesn't secure the tip from falling out. The set screw only hold the housing for the tip in place. That's how it is on the HX939W anyway and his appears to be the same.

    • @danielschilke2994

      @ebone260 I have the same model he has and yes the set screw secures the tip. It is a common issue with the 9700 and replacement is not required.
