    • @how2foryoudiy
      @how2foryoudiy Před 29 dny

      So let me first say, they are aftermarket parts. That being said, they stay on all the time and there’s no way to adjust them with the headlights or be dimmed. I’m actually going to make another video soon about some issues I’ve been having with them. They work fine overall, but since they’re not OEM there’s little you as the consumer can do about it. Follow my channel for a more updated video on these soon. There could be another manufacturer that make these with to be dimmed or on & off with the car’s lights but I haven’t found one yet. Very few out there.

    • @how2foryoudiy
      @how2foryoudiy Před 29 dny

      @@MrHighIntensity79 So for me, them staying on and not dimming isn’t really a problem. But if it is for you, I understand. For me, the problem is that within 2-3 months after I installed the parts, I noticed that the window lock up/down switch would not engage. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. This problem is still ongoing. The other problem is that when you push the auto up/down switch for any switch other than the drivers window, it would dim the aftermarket light for the handle that I also installed and coupled together. You can remedy this by slightly pulling up or down after the auto push of the window switch. This is also still ongoing and I think maybe the two parts just aren’t communicating with each other. The third and final one is that sometimes the auto up/down switch can be finicky when you press it, the window will either not go down all the way, up all the way, or it may go down and then quickly go back up. This one really upsets me and is still ongoing. To be honest, I’ve never really reached out to the manufacturer because I hear so many horror stories about how there’s no customer service for these kind of companies and imo it’s just cheap aftermarket Chinese junk. I’ll keep them on my car until let’s say maybe one day they do just end up failing. They still do their job, kinda, but they’re never gonna be a good solid, reliable part like an OEM made in Japan. It just never will. I hope this helps and hope this doesn’t happen for you. But if it does, please keep me posted on what you find and try to do with fixing it.

    • @how2foryoudiy
      @how2foryoudiy Před měsícem

      Rule of deduction: since you put a new bulb on for the left brake and it’s still not turning on, next you need to check your fuse and make sure you haven’t blown a fuse. Start there, if it’s still happening then check your battery, and then alternator. Finally, check your wiring to the bulb. Make sure it’s not disconnected anywhere. I would also double check the working side (right side) just to see what exactly a working side looks like with the wiring so you can cross reference if anything looks off. My guess is that you’ve blown a fuse somewhere. Start there.

    The worst brake job I got came from Firestone. Never again will I have a brake job done there. The job was supposed to include a fluid flush. Several months later, I had the fluid checked, and it contained 300 PPM of copper content. Rather high, and was an indicator the fluid was never flushed. Then the pads were noisy, and my friend who owns a repair shop took a look. He discovered the pads were coming apart, and chunks of pad material was breaking off the pads. The material that was breaking off the pads also destroyed the rotors. Then he discovered the pads were the wrong kind for the type of rotor that was on the car. On my other car, I had pads, and calipers done at the dealer and there were no problems. Firestone also kept telling me there were no problems with the brakes on my car when I took it back to complain. The job Firestone did was supposed to carry a 24 month guarantee. All Firestone was doing was ride out the warranty.

      @@ROGERDATTT Right on. With limited space if you’re using a jack w/ jackstands there’s not much working room under there so when you’re torquing to specs it can seem hard just to do the smallest adjustments.

    Do the sides have multiple jack points for lifting the rear wheels? If you are going to set the jack stand on the jack point where are you setting the jack on the side to lift the rear?

    • @melovemusic69
      @melovemusic69 Před měsícem

      They make specific jackstand /jacks all in one that allow you to place the jack at the right point and jack it up also. Have 4 of them and they work great.

    Thank you so much! Certainly helpful. I was wondering if you could help me out with another problem. Now that I've reassembled the case, it doesn't want to charge any more. I removed the case and it charges without the case and the bottom silver plastic cap being on the unit. Any suggestions on how to assemble it properly? Thanks again :)

    • @how2foryoudiy
      @how2foryoudiy Před 3 měsíci

      Someone else recently commented on this. I would suggest if it’s not charging anymore get a replacement battery. You could have damaged the battery and or electronics. You have to be very delicate when doing this procedure. I would source Amazon or poke around ebay to see what options are out there for replacement parts. Maybe Philips has some good prices too on their website for OEM parts. For assembly, just follow this video. Sorry you’ve had so much hassle but you’ll get it figured out.

      @@how2foryoudiy Thanks for the reply. The battery hasn’t been damaged as it charges with the bottom case cover off. The bottom case cover is not conducting the electricity from the charger base to the unit as it was scratched up a little during the process. I’ve ordered a new bottom case cover, hopefully that will resolve the issue. Have you ever found this before too?

    You forgot using a pair of rubber gloves before removing or installing bulbs. The oil from your skin can deteriorate lifespan of the bulbs

      True if you want to keep the old bulbs but shouldn’t affect the LEDs.

    Thanks for the vid. I worry though that the car should be level during the fill because it will affect when it starts pouring out the hole if it's tilted and you may under or overfill depending on if it's tilted towards or away from the hole. Although it's a lot easier to not worry about it... I might just follow suit. Plus I feel a lot safer with two wheels still on the ground.

    • @how2foryoudiy

      It should be totally fine doing it this way. Seen a lot of proof out there and from other mechanics saying this is ok to do. Just a drain and refill job 👍
