- As a general Rule, YOU CAN PAINT OIL PAINT OVER WATER BASED PAINT (LATEX), BUT YOU CAN NOT PAINT LATEX PAINT OVER OIL.
While there can be exceptions to the rule, if you did put Latex paint over oil, you would find that it will peel over after it has dried. - Jak na to + styl
The ASE oil based is a great product but how did you prep the door before painting?
Also, how did you apply the paint?
Brush, roll, spray?
I think it’s other way around once you put on Latex paint on you can’t go on top of oil
Hello ,
I tried reaching out via email to schedule a call and no one has got back to me.
Sorry but that was entirely wrong. Just as a a suggestion I would really consider re filming the section on suggestions for using oil over latex.
Oil wants to penetrate into the wood fibers then becomes part of the wood. This is why it is more durable that latex.
Latex bonds to itself and creates through a chemical process a in penetrable shell of protection, this is why you can't go over latex with oil.
So is Covid deadly or not? I am sooo confused.
Are you an idiot? Yes, super easy!
Pretty much meaningless until it has been on there for a few months. At least weeks. Often it will not lift right away. Sometimes it chips and lifts but several years later. Just a gamble😅
WD 40 takes oil paint right off
You cannot paint oil base over lay.Text paint unless you use a very Special prime. And the simple fact that latex paint is flexible. And oil-based paint is not and if you paint oil-based paint overlay texts, it's gonna crack like crazy. You're out of your mind dude
