  • Hello My Lovelies,
In today's sewing project and tutorial I'm showing you how I made a pair of shoes inspired by the amazing Carmen Miranda! Using shop bought espadrilles and some fun trimmings, I take you step by step through how I made a shoe pattern, customised my espadrilles and the sewing techniques I used to create my very own show girl espadrille shoes.
You can buy espadrille soles here amzn.to/3aIq8gM but make sure you get your correct size.
Espadrille thread ~ amzn.to/3aJNdzF available in lots of colours but I used DMC thread for my espadrilles
This little kit would have been very useful too ~ amzn.to/3O7Khvp
I stash dived for my fabrics and trimming and bought the rest from Jacob's Haberdashery ~

    Ohhhh it's so exciting!
Would it be easier with a curved upholstery needle?

@@TaraDeighton I enjoyed very much. It's so easy to customise and I wouldn't have thought if it. Now, if only the rain would stop so I could wear espadrilles!
