    Yeah, lol. I've never had that happen before, but then again I've never been that aggressive trying to get the mag to fit. Thanks for watching.

    I have tried plastics that I pulled out of old stuff like sunvisors that I took clips off of and I took apart a suit case and found some plastic it is easily formed although I have no idea what kind it is .And I pull clips out of everything from old phone cases to sunglasS cases . You could always cut a block of wood to the dimensions of the magazine you are making it for and use the wood .Also if you are making different wood blocks for different mags you can write on the .

    Very cool! Do you have pics of how you mount it to your gear? Very creative!!

  • @BraveTheWilds
    @BraveTheWilds  Před 11 lety

    Yes, forgot to clarify that. That is where your retention comes from, the rivet closes up that shimmed side, then when your mag gets put in it spreads it out.

    I make PVC bows and crossbows. It is extremely helpful to have a damp cloth or towel to cool the PVC quickly.

    You could always make two PVC loops to run a belt or weave your molle through. Or make a PVC belt/pant clip.

  • @ChrisCollier
    @ChrisCollier Před 11 lety

    Most excellent Kenny! I take it the shim was on the side with only one rivet?

    Hey Kenny. Greetings from New Zealand. I love all of your videos, you do an awesome job. I am into the same things as you, bush craft, self reliance, survival. Please keep the videos coming, they are all awesome!! I am only just starting out, but I have a hut, some gear and knowledge. I have learn't some great stuff off you, and I really want to keep learning from you. I love your DIY projects and the chapter of the hut series and upgrades. Are you carrying on with those? Thanks, Nathan Taylor

    flare the edges...you can slice up #2 plastic (tide bottles/milk jugs etc) melt it into a pan in the oven and you have "budget" kydex

    Try making a PVC magazine. To try it out just take out the mag spring and follower and try them in the PVC mag.

    Just wanted to tell you I found your channel last week and really enjoy watching your videos. While at 63 I should know everything but I don't and have learned a lot from you. I am in the process of watching all your videos it will take some time. Keep up the good work. Since you have an interest in firearms you might want to check my son's page 'balloon goes up". I am heading to southern Ohio in a few min. and will be very close to Dave Canterberry.
