our trio was so skiddish when I first got them but now that they have been with me for a year (and they have put up with my constant petting and randomly getting taken out to enjoy time in the "tractor") they have gotten to the point of coming to the cage door to greet me. Now i have two younger new does and one has already warmed up to me but hates getting caught (screams every time!) the other one is still very scared and only sits still for head scratches (good about being picked up tho). They take a lot of persistence but it is definitely paying off and for the first week I left them alone so they understand that they are safe.

I have Excoriation Disorder which is in the same category as Trich. They are both Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors that are used to cope with anxiety and stress.

Tiffany, I’m just now watching this. You were mentioning the supplements you take to help your anxiety. My sister also had ocd and anxiety and something she found out is that she has the MTHFR gene mutation which part of what that means if you have a methylation issue and you need methylated folate. She has taken it for a while but her doctor recently told her she should try doubling the amount and she said it’s really helped her anxiety! I have a friend with the same issues and the gene mutation and she said methylated folate helps her anxiety as well. Just a heads up in case you’ve never looked into that. Hoping what you’re doing helps. I know how hard it can be for my sister at times.
