A note on where to buy HAY: Do not buy hay at the pet store. It is SO expensive and it’s usually not super fresh. Hay is best bought from a local farmer. When I need to outsource my hay, I often find good hay on Facebook marketplace.

Yes, please do a medical supply video. Medication for rabbits is a rare topic on CZcams, and often the internet as a whole. Your videos are always so educational.
I agree....we need more information on such things.....most of us are animal people and have relationships with vet's....and are able to get the meds we need if we know what people use..
I’d love to see a Med supply video! AND a tour again of all the rabbits currently have and their names! It’s been a while 🥰
Yes to the med supply video!!!
yes please do a medical or other supply video! Love how you share - thank you!
Perfect timing! We just purchased a trio of Americans and they arrive at the end of the month. We have been studing so many rabbit videos but having all the information in one place in a new video helps tremendously!
I was so excited to see this was your video topic this week! I am still in my research phase, and your videos are always so informative.
I can't wait to start with meat rabbits. You give me confidence I can do this for my family.
The medical supply video would be a great topic for a video.
Thank you!!
Why are meds required?
My argument for the hay debate is that as a veterinary professional, one of the things I learned is that the small animals like rabbits have very fast metabolisms and need constant access to something they can chew and eat. This keeps the gut moving and helps their biome thrive. It also helps them be stable for stressful events like surgery. Obviously we can't do straight pellets free fed for full-grown dry adults, so things like hay and wood shavings work well as a low calorie, low cost way to achieve this goal. Love that you brought up the survive vs. thrive mentality!
Very well stated!
I tend to think rabbits are close to horses in their eating behavior...80 percent roughage to 20 percent concentrate ....and they don't do well at diet changes..... abruptly.....
Yes plz on med supplies
As a “veterinary professional” the fact that you are giving this person advice is despicable. Rot.

Sooooo excited and happy you've made this video! THANK YOU SO MUCH on behalf of all the "wanna be homesteaders"!!!! 🫶🏼
That's about the best cage setup I've seen. You do everything really well for them. Well thought out.
Excellent video! You are such a natural at teaching! Very practical advice and I really appreciate your explanations! Thank You!
Tiffany your videos are literally the best please don't ever quit you helped me butcher my first rabbit and breed my first rabbits and tattoo my first rabbits I show California's and overall you have help me so much when it comes to meat pen and overall everything
You’re an animal abuser.
Very helpful. I will be reading up on your blog and watching more of your videos on the topic. Thanks!
I love this video! I especially love the wooden stacker system you have. I have been OBSESSING over the rabbit adventure I want to start. I have been running hypothetical numbers, thinking about how I could lay out a rabbit set up, and what it would cost to start up. I am like you, in a way. My sister and I raised dutch and mini rex rabbits up until the time I graduated high school.
We would sell big bags of droppings for $10 (in the 2000s that was a prerty good price)
I would make a starter wire cages that could be attached to four T posts, and we would sell rabbits with the cages as a bundle. My dad would make the dropping trays.
It was a pretty fun business for a teen! I quit when I started dating my now husband but we are looking in to meat and showmanship rabbits again, now that our son is in 4-h and our daughter will be in cloverbuds next year.
As a young boy I experienced the aggressiveness of fighting bucks. The powerful jaws and teeth are large and sharp, the legs are strong and powerful with cutting sharp claws, and they are fearless fighters. I got knocked down and mauled badly enough with a trip to the emergency room for stitches and I have mighty big battle scars.
this is poetry!
A medical tips and setup video would be great. My wife's grandfather raised rabbits in France theough WWII, and I wonder what plants and natural remedies he employed. He raised them for decades afterwards, but sadly I was not interested in such topics back when I could have asked him. Great video, you obviously have a wealth of knowledge and experience!
Great information! Thank you for sharing!
Great video
Thanks Tiffany, this is very helpful. You make breeding rabbits so beautiful and interesting. My children and I have learnt a lot from your videos. We just had a new litter this morning...🥰
Where “How-to” books go to die!😆Great vid! This should be required viewing for anyone wanting to get into rabbits.
lol! I love my homesteading books too! 😆
I would love to see the med supply video. I will be doing meat rabbits and possibly pet rabbits. Thanks!

Coming in with all the good advice !! ❤
I made the nest boxes love them . your videos are always helpful thanks.God Bless you and your family.
I've been watching your videos and have learned so much. Just got my first trio consisting of a Red New Zealand buck and two Red New Zealand / Champagne D'argent does. Built a hutch system very similar to your original and will be making grow-out tractors similar to yours this fall when I start breeding them. Thank you for the wealth of information and the great-quality videos!
Thank you for this video, my wife and I are buying our first meat rabbits today, and this has been very helpful. We will probably be basing our entire process for raising them off of your videos, so thank u so much. Good looking rabbits ya got there 😊
A farmer who farms for meat, my golden rule is treat the animals with the most respect you can give them. After all, you are sacrificing their life for your own gain. Just treat them better.
I loved this video!!!! Really helps. A med supply video would be great!! Thanks for making these videos every week. Best videos out there on rabbits!!! We are getting creme d argent rabbits this year!!
Woohoo!! Congrats!!
Thanks for the video! Just wanted to let you know your eyes are looking so bright and blue today!!!
Would love to see what you do for different ailments.
This is super! I am from Mobile AL.. and I like rabbits. Some day soon I hope to start a small rabbitry like yours but small.
I just got and setup about 3 weeks ago, gravity bowl water-ers… it’s allot to swap out water daily. This makes life super easy. I just tip over the bowl after using a brush to clean it to flush it out. They are 1 gallon GWF’s and last a good 7 days. I just keep there hay bowl full. Easier to manage
I would love to see a video on rabbit medical supplies!
Thank you for this! Would love to see your med kit for rabbits as well!
Im finally all cought up with your videos cant wait for future content
Thank you!
Rabbit medicine video would be great!!
Agree! Would love to see that!
The Netherland cross bunnies need a video all their own 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
They have a couple! I need to do an update video 😊
I personally really like to use stainless steel dog bowls as feed bowls! The rabbits can’t chew them like with plastic bowls and they stay pretty clean and don’t harbor bacteria as much!
Today I found your channel. It's been a blessing! I just started with 2 but I plan to grow and this video has been very educational. Yea please make a video about medication! God bless 😊😊😊
im so glad you postedd! Ive been subbed to you for a long timeeee!! I love your videossss

Yes!! Thank you💜
Tiffany! Thank you so much! This is so informative. I would LOVE to learn about your med supplies for your rabbitry.
Please do make a med supply video! I have been following you since last summer, I still don't have meat rabbits, but you are slowly convincing me to think twice about creme d'argents!
I have a NewZealand red hair for a pet, and your videos have helped me with taking proper care for him. I could never imagine eating him tho. 11:38 Or any rabbit for that matter. But it’s nice that you help others with that too.
Yes please do a medical supply video! We just started our rabbitry in January and are already dealing with ear mites and nest box eye. I would love some suggestions for medical supplies!
Thank you for another awesome video ! Please post about the meds you keep on hand for your rabbitry.

Would definitely enjoy seeing what you keep on had for med supplies.
I would be love to see a video on medication that you use for your rabbits!
I've been using milk jugs to water, and somehow i ALWAYS get my shoes wet!!! 😂 i need that watering can FOR SURE.
A bit off topic, can you make a update video of veela & ringo?
I’m sure you will set updates on them in the future! 🙂

Your videos are the best ❤
I definitely would like to see the video on med supplies. Thanks!
If you could make a pelt video it would be extremely helpful im trying to learn how to do pelts but i think you would make the most detailed video
Working on it for this year 🙂
@@TealStoneHomesteadthanks Tiffany ❤
Your videos are always amazing. Keep up the good work! I would love to see a med video for sure!
I'm hoping to get some rabbits soon, and this was super helpful. Thanks!
Awesome Video!!!
I just got into meat rabbits, Beveren. This video is just what i needed. Thanks
Terrific content. Very helpful info. Thank you very much !!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support! ❤️
Yes, very interested in med supply video. I'm interested in getting totally prepped before getting any buns.
Tiffany, I'm grateful to have stumbled onto your channel. I'm still doing my due diligence in raising rabbits for meat. This is the first video of yours that I've watched and you packed it with great information. I wish you continued success with your homestead and channel.
Very interesting, informative and very professional. Once again thank you for sharing your expertise with us. Hans Strydom. Sandton. South Africa
Love your videos. They are just sp fun to watch and very informative too. Im always curious how you train your rabbits to like being carried as my Neatherland Dwarfs hates it when I try to carry them.
Thank you for the amazing video!!! I'm doing research before I start doing meat rabbits and this video was super helpful. I'm a new follower to your channel, once again thank you.
Thank you for sharing! How often do you clean the cages (disinfecting)? And do you dry them off with a towel or just let them air dry?
Yes I would like to know more about doctoring your rabbits thanks
hey thanks for the video !!!!!!!!!1
I've subscribed! My initial aim is for my rottweiler's meat supplement, and second will be my own food supply when I don't want to eat pork meat. Thank you for cage detail, I'm learning so much!
Very informative video❤
Asif khan from Pakistan🇵🇰
I've been learning from you for years and really appreciate your channel! I have been looking for a video by you on how to tan rabbit hides and can't seem to find one. Would you consider doing a video on this?
Could you do a video on different foods to feed rabbits? I did see your superfood mix, but would like to know what greens, veggies, etc, and the nutritional value behind it like you did with the treats. I see a lot of mixed answers online about feeding kale and stuff and would like to hear your opinion since you have been raising them so long, and they seem natural and healthy. Thanks. 😊
What about using Rabbit Trackers or something similar to keep your rabbit in during the warmer months and a cage set up for the winter months.
I live in New Brunswick, Canada…so the winters up here can get pretty harsh
cool and elaborate explanation,,,,,please how to clearly distinguish between bucks and does...
Would love to see a meds video! The more info the better breeder 💕
Curious on the process of deboning a meat rabbit and how you store them.
Thank you for your video very helpful. And I would love a video on medication to have on hand herbal and pharmaceutical. 😊
We raise pedigree New Zealand and California meat rabbits. We feed 15% pellets, and we do feed Alfalfa hay and some all grass. But our horses get grass hay and our dairy goats get alfalfa hay. I love it for my grow outs and my doe's my bucks do get it Alfalfa about every other day and grass the day they don't get the alfalfa hay. We will be moving our rabbits out of my goat barn into their own portable garage. For now till we build their own barn. As of right now we have 101 meat rabbits. Thai is all my bucks and doe's and their off spring. I will have trouble sets available now and in the future. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.
Loved the video, thanks. At what age do the grow out rabbits get territorial and need single cages? Is there ever fighting in the grow out cages?
Sure, meds and how they are used for the rabbits would be awesome. Also would like to know if something like shows are worth the hassle and extra money?
What size of cages do you use in your stackers? Just recently subscribed and look forward to them each week
❤
Could you use something like a rubber drainage mat for the wire as well? I feel like rabbits would enjoy walking on something squishy more than the wire and since it’s rubber it would spray down well
Any thoughts on the hanging bottle waterers as opposed to bowls?
I realy them to E 😁😁😁
I likee them in any way ❤😂😁😊
so do you recommend this set up for meat birds or the rabbit hutch idea
Hello!! Thank you so much for posting this, it helps a lot! You responded to my question on another video about what good veggies you can grow for rabbits as an alternative to pellets...i really appreciate it!! Is there a way to buy rabbits that you sell? I would love to buy a creme d'argent doe breeder 🙂...oh, and you should definitely do a video on med supplies 😊...thank you so much! God bless!! ❤
Hey there! Sales are hard for me because I have so many inquiries and not a lot of rabbits available most of the time 😅 you should come to Creme d’Argent nationals next month, or ARBA convention in Louisville, KY in October. That would be the best place to network with breeders 😊
@@TealStoneHomesteadI completely get it, that makes a lot of sense...that's awesome!! Thank you so much I will definitely look into it 😊
Will you be at either of them? That would literally be the coolest thing to meet you 😁...sorry if that's creepy lol...you are literally my favorite channel ever 😅
✨
Hi Tiffani,
I'm using rabbit manure to my garden, plants, flower bad, bushes, trees .....Is Pine Pellet Bedding will be ok for garden after all? Thanks.
Please share medical supplies and grooming supplies for caring for rabbits and breeding rabbits.
I was wondering how far you keep the Bucks from the does in your setup. Are the bucks all in one rolling tower and the rest house does? Or do you keep your bucks on a different wall? I'm working on planning out my barn (which I will be building later this year) and I want to make sure I have an easy to deal with setup.
I know this is off topic, but I was wondering if you ever thought about breeding the crenes to a white angora for long silvery pelts? Wonder if that would cause you to have broken colors?
Thank-you for this video. I may have missed it bc my kids kept distracting me but what do you put in the nesting boxes for the does to nest in??
Pine shavings and/or hay or straw 🙂
I have never seen the J feeder in Tractor Supply
