I noticed this trend coming back this year with my middle school students!! They're VERY into the "center parting, 2 clips on each side" look. Not sure I can pull it off now but I remember rocking it in the 90s as a kid lol
I wore this half up-do in the 60s, when I was just a little girl. And I was not the only one - the tv series Tammy aired in Germany and all girls wanted their hair just like Tammy. I like that hair style so much, that I still wear it 50 years later.

so cute! i love hairclips, my favourite ones i had in the 90's were these little butterfly clips, not the plastic ones but metal with the wings attached to springs so they would flutter as i moved. i would love to have one again, but i havent been able to find any :(. and i just realised how much you remind me of hope sandoval with pinned back bangs and a center parting!
Ooooh I used to have those, completely forgot about them! I think there might still be some in my old bedroom at my parents' 😲
I have rainbow coloured hair pins that I stack on the back of my head when wearing a messy bun. The 90s never left me tbh 😅

Several years ago I was obsessed with my gold bobby pins with flowers and suns on the end. I'm gonna have to dig those up again! (I'm guessing this is something you probably don't want to use with jewelry though... At least with the big clips used together.)
I would love to rock this but I am one of those people for who 'less is more' is a serious thing. I look very overdone very quickly, and I would need like, VERY simple and elegant hairclips which kind of defies the whole point.
i don’t like the big flashy clips either so i just picked up some hair snaps from rite aid for like $5 and i got the same affect without the big flashy clips
You can try playing around with 2-6 normal rose-gold,gold or silver bobby pins on each side. works with a low ponytail or bun too. theres endless methods and the bobby pins are there, are classy ,you can see them but they arent flashy. You can make zig zags or x shapes. its really fun to play around with it each time

gurls w. curly hair trust me, use these to clip ur front sections out of ur face w/ a middle parting and have some of ur hair falling over them, its the way 2 rock these.

I would love to be able to do this but I can never get the pins to stay in my hair. They always fall out. I have thick hair so I heard it should be easier, but it's a talent I do not seem to possess. You look gorgeous! Thanks for another great video!
One way to make hair clips stay better is to spray the part that touches your hair with hairspray. It adds a little more grip. Also, for larger clips, you could try applying hot glue to the parts that touch your hair and letting it dry. This also adds grip. My hair is very fine and slippery. Using these two methods helped tremendously.
Honestly it’s so useful that you made this, I’m currently growing out my bangs and I was thinking about doing this look!

I have the worst hair. Nothing I put into it will stay. I wouldn't make it out the front door before any of these clips would fall out or dislodge from there position. If i use a lot of hairspray sometimes I can get it to stay but then my hair looks plastered. They look good in your hair. Nice vid!!👍🙂👍

My hair is really slidey and its hard to get it to lay flat and tight to my head, so i get the piece i want to pull back twist it tight to my head behind my ear and tie it with a tiny rubber band style hair band and then slide my decorative pins into place. I’m sure hairspray would help as well!
Those clips are pretty. I love the hair behind the ears. I mostly do that with no clips sleek middle part all the hair perfectly tucked behind both ears. Do u ever do that. I also do sleek ponytail and bun with a scrungie. Do u like tjose styles

Megs n Bacon try ratting your hair a little in the area you want to clip. Add a shot of hair spray right there too.
Mine is too. Sometimes I have to take a little piece of hair from under the hair where I want to place the clip and tie it with an elastic...kinda like a tiny pony tail and it holds the clip in place
Megs n Bacon use some hairspray on the spot of your hair where you want de clip. you can also use it on the clips... or use bobby pins covered in hairspray and then usenthe clip you like.
use clips like not bobby pins or slide ins but ones you can clip open and close, only ones that work with my thin hair 🥰
This reminds me of the 09-10 show for Dior by Galliano where he put a bunch of bobby pins in the model's hair, cant get behind it but im both a dude, and i shave my head so i suppose it doesnt matter, but its a funny reference so i thought id share anyways. (google it)

I’m an idiot. I thought the large tortoise shell looking one was always a barrette style clip and not just a clip-clip and couldn’t figure out why the resin/whatever it’s made out of wasn’t breaking. It’s cause it’s not a barrette style
