Dreamz954 Circumstances changed, they brought back a lot of the old MW and Titanfall devs which wasn’t the case at the time. I still stand corrected tho they really did pick it up this time at least with the campaign.
@@philswift1252 sorry it took me so long to answer but here's my opinion, you are correct about them bringing back some old devs but that doesn't mean the game is bad it just took a different approach, also the multiplayer is awsome the only issues is ranking, balancing issues, battlepass, and campers. Apart from that COD MW is still a great game even if you exclude the campaign

Tobias Holm Me too, I loved Dead Island, I enjoyed Dying Light too. The story was nothing special, but the game play was fun and the night time mechanic was interesting and added to the game.
Turkey Herder Main story was kind of meh, but the Following was pretty awesome if you ask me :) (the endings was so amazing)

dying light was never how techland intended it to be, and it changed a lot compared to the first gameplays they showed us... but it's one of my favourite games and their next zombie game is going to be the definitive one, I have extremely high expectations

Spiny Slasher lol what? You can say the same about titanfall 2. Titanfall 2 won because of campaign and free dlc. Titanfall 2 deserved it but bf1 is far superior than bf4. Bf4 was an epic fail in the first year.
Toni Kroos yeah BF4 was an epic fail but the gameplay in BF1 hasn't changed a bit other than introducing new (or older) vehicles, this is literally a reskined BF4 (or BF3) running on the Battlefront engine.
Titanfall is trying something new, and they give out free dlc's and it has an amazing campaign. There needs to be a new Fps to rise.
They should've had a strategy game of the year and a third person shooter game of the year

Uncarted 4 is one of the best looking games (if it isnt the best) on any console right now. That being said, when you can play a game on a high end PC at 1440p or 4k on ultra settings it is going to blow any console game out of the water. It's the limitations of the machine. Doesn't mean they're bad looking by any means, but it doesn't mean they're the most impressive thing out there either.

For me Dark Souls was a beautiful challenging RPG that left me on the edge of my seat.
Battlefield 1 was a graphical masterpiece with intensely fun multiplayer.
Overwatch is absolute fun with great characters and flowing gameplay
The Last Guardian was a beautiful puzzle game with amazing music
FFIV was a fantastic Open world RPG with fantastic controls

Final Fantasy IV is not open world. It's a good game nonetheless though. If you want to try a decent open world Final Fantasy you should give XV a go...

Now if you guys ever read this, I have a question for you. I am ducking hyped out for The Last of Us Part II (see profile pic) but I do not currently own a new-gen console (I'm a PC Gamer). The Last of Us is my favorite game of all times. The problem is that I do not like the PS4 and I hate Sony (as a company) so I would normally buy the Xbox One. Do you think I should buy the PS4 just for the exclusive?

The reason why I don't think Doom deserves game of the year was because the multiplayer was meh. That's just me.
LimitedSpartan still though it killed other rebooted titles by keeping it classy with the first DOOM and adding more features to it, while advancing the graphics to keep up with the movement of the game.

Although it was not made in 2016, CSGO is my all time favorite game, then Undertale, then Black ops 3 for the zombies and story line.

Quick suggestion for a best of award next time, give best single player and best multiplayer game awards. There seems to be a dividing
Iine between people who buy games for single player campaigns versus people who buy games to play multiplayer. For instance this year Overwatch is maybe the best multiplayer game but has no single player campaign while the winner Doom has a great single player campaign but got kind of meh reviews for its multiplayer. Also whether you play alone or with others seems to sometimes be an as important or more important aspect for buying a game than the play style or genre (eg first person, rpg, etc).
