I’ve known both men and women like that irl....despite being very nice and relatively normal ...being more attracted to the most “damaged goods” pretty face they come across....whether that means someone with mental health issues or someone who was abused or someone who does drugs heavily etc.....wanting to help and/or change that person.....liking to feel needed....sometimes it works out like they hope.....but more often the person doesn’t want to change, can’t change, or takes advantage with malice, and it doesn’t work out well for the one with the hero complex.

I always think like i am a "hero" who could help them fixed things. I know these kind of relationship could create a "false" hope for both. But sometimes it works out well. She's a terrible archeologist if she BREAKS the ARTEFACTS
They messed up that scene by doing that. I think they meant to make it look like Dr Moone was compelled to break the head (something that she ordinarily wouldn't do) because the spirit of The Enchantress that was in that room was manipulating her to do it so that she could be free again. Didn't do the greatest job in getting that across on film.

According to the comics when a ‘spirit’ is trapped in an object. It unknowingly compels those who finds it to set it free. It a compel to do something you usually won’t do which in June case. Its to break the artifact.

I really love how this film introduces all the characters with the graphics and bios. I love the intros but Rick Flag's intro is pretty damn cool. An American hero and badass.

Yes when she looks at it you can hear "june" very softly so she was almost definitely in a trance. Plus enchantress has been shown to fuck with peoples minds.

James Gunn and David Ayer get along really well. I wouldn't be surprised if Ayer told Gunn what happens in the Ayer Cut so Gunn could avoid referencing anything that could contradict that version.
Maybe get a new actress though. The person who played her was too flat ( Even though the material sucked, give the part to an actual actress)

Joel Kinnaman really did a good job portraying Rick Flag. I like Flag's character because he's like DC version of Nick Fury.

To all of those people complaining about Moone a professional archeologist breaking an artifact you clearly can hear Enchantress calling out to her before she does so. Clearly she enchanted her to break her prison.
This is so weird and fun at the same time
Im a professional archaeologist, working with prehistoric eras mostly. Every single step she took after finding that temple was extremely wrong and the stuff she should have done is taught as baseline knowledge for everyone beginning to study archaeology.
We don't go into jungles alone in search of ruins.
We don't then go into those ruins without documenting everything from the outside first and making sure its safe.
We do not touch and / or remove things from inside the newly discovered area until everything has been carefully documented so we don't lose track of things.
We do not break open ancient seals, mostly because the matter that is inside a vacuum sealed container for example, will be ruined by the introduction of oxygen.
We are also very careful when entering and walking around in ancient areas so we don't destroy anything.

The writer completely missed the essence of these characters. The Suicide Squad is meant to be a team that undertakes dirty jobs for the government, rather than protect the country or do other hero job.
